What a gem! This new coffee shop and soon to be wine bar is a few doors down from the Bronx Ale House and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. There is a nice variety of coffees, teas, pastries, and sandwiches at reasonable prices. It is smartly decorated with both counter and table service. The owners are lovely, helpful, and very friendly. I plan to visit often and I will tell all my friends about it.

Pros — nice spot to sit and catch up with friends Cons — expensive, pretentious, does not fit in with the neighborhood… I have waited in line for 10 minutes and had to leave before ordering because I had somewhere to be. would maybe go back if I needed a place to sit, but that’s about it.

Great new spot in the neighborhood staff is great and friendly and the coffee is excellent my to mention there fresh pastry and light lunch. It’s a must visit, I know I will. Just stopped by for a small lunch and again totally amazing. Julia the barista prepared my coconut cappuccino to perfection and Jeff provides me with an excellent Cuban sandwich. Thank you Mon Amour.

Cute café with coffee, teas, pastries, and light fare. Iced coffee was up to par and chicken flatbread was good. Nice cozy atmosphere perfect for studying or hanging out. Service was friendly and barista continued to refill my water for a few hours! Only thing I did not like was the bread pudding muffin pastry. it was too buttery for my taste. The barista asked how I liked it and I was honest and told her it was too buttery and I couldn’t eat it(and had only taken 1 bite). She said«Oh», but perhaps she could have offered me a different pastry to try. Only reason this place does not get 5 stars in my book. Oh, and the toilet paper is too thin. Literally see-thru.

Really enjoyed this place and the ambiance! I also must say that I appreciated the fact that they didn’t rush me out the door, I spent hours doing work there and only consumed coffee. My only complaint about this place is that the service is a bit slow.

What to do during a blizzard in NYC? Go to the best local coffee shop in the neighborhood. Excellent coffee, delicious food. Cozy, comfy, warm and inviting interior. On a day like this you won’t want to go back home.

This place is RIGHT by the 1 at 238th, so on my way to work, I’ll stop by for a latte when I can. The coffee is truly very good — it is a «third wave» coffeehouse, hope that term isn’t considered out of date. It’s a family business and the team is so friendly. I also had this incredible pastry from there, the Diplomat — dense, like a bread pudding made from croissants — so incredible! These guys clearly put effort into curating their selection. So looking forward to my next visit!

Honestly so surprised to see something like this in the Bronx. Slowly all these new cute places are coming up and I am loving it! Everything about this shop screams cute! It’s so warm and cozy with nice seating and great lattes and service. It was the perfect way to warm up and catch up with a friend on a crisp winter evening. They haven’t yet figured out the«wine» situation yet but the coffee and treats is full functional and I must say the hazelnut latte I had was delicious. Super rich and tasty and I didn’t even need to add any sweetness. I will definitely be coming back

Happy to find this little gem just opened in my neighborhood. Great food and drinks, good prices, comfortable setting, and friendly staff. My large drink was quite small, and my sandwich could have been heartier, but the grilled cheeses were on the spot and a steal at $ 3. Wish there was a little more comfortable seating as the comfortable seats were all taken by people on laptops, but overall was a good experience and will be back.

I went here yesterday for lunch and I must say this is a beautiful new addition to the Kingsbridge neighborhood. A beautiful independent coffee shop that has the warmth of home. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive and full of smiles and warm hellos. As a preschool teacher/graduate student I love pending most of my free time in coffee shops but hate having to travel into the city to find quaint intimate coffee shops like this one. I plan on returning every Saturday and Sunday morning for my am coffee fix and to read my morning paper. Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

Awesome independent coffee shop in the Bronx/Riverdale area. I normally go to La Colombe in NoHo to have high quality coffee/lattè so I’m glad there’s one here in the Bronx(it’s not as good but it’s the best in the Bronx). This also beats DeLillo Bakery’s coffee in Little Italy in my honest opinion(DeLillo’s can be too sweet sometimes). The décor of the shop is amazing too. It has great seating areas but it’s a small shop. I went to this spot for a caffe breve(lattè with half and half) and it was amazing. Very smooth and honestly doesn’t require any sugar unless you’re the sweet type. They use a great espresso machine(not like Dunkin Donuts or the overpriced Starbucks although I do go to DD occasionally). It cost $ 3.75 for a large. I’ve tried their macarons too! It’s ok; nothing like Laudèe’s macarons in the city but it’s the only spot in the Bronx that I know of that has macarons. It’s satisfying enough. They cost $ 1.50 each. Their chocolate chip cookies are amazing too. It’s soft and chewy, the way ALL chocolate chip cookies should be. Overall, it’s a great spot and I highly recommended it. I hope they would invest in Agave syrup for the coffees as opposed to standard artificial sweeteners *crosses fingers so they can see this*

Wonderful addition to the neighborhood! This café seemed to pop up out of nowhere! They serve pretty good food from what I’ve had, and I plan to try more of their selection. The coffee, from Brooklyn, is amazing as well. The ambiance is great, I never thought I would see such a perfect coffee shop in the Bronx. I had to wait a little for the food, but considering that I went on the first weekend they were open, I know they will improve. I am so happy this café opened and can’t wait to go again.

I AMSOHAPPY!!! There are really no local independent coffee shops really close to my place in Kingsbridge, but as of Monday that’s no longer true, Mon Amour Coffee & Wine(yes, wine!) to the rescue. I got the prosciutto, fig, Gruyère, and arugula flatbread, and it was extremely flavorful. I had some delicious fresh cider with it, and I finished up with a cappuccino. The espresso is quite good, sweet and nutty without any sour notes. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the store is absolutely adorable! The icing on the cake was the music, which was a selection of relaxing jazz that I just loved. Yay for new coffee shops!
