If Zero stars were an option, trust me when I say it will be well deserved after the service that I received today. I’ve been a customer of NY MCU since 2009 and I’ve never had a problem when the service or any of the employees until today. I went to the bank today to make a deposit, I really didn’t think that it will take long. Well about twenty minutes later I finally made it to the teller counter. Now don’t get me wrong, I completely understand that «Tis the season» however that’s more of a reason to add or hire more tellers especially during lunch hour but I guess that would be asking for too much!
I gave the teller my driver’s license and bank card to make a deposit and without a word or any notice whatsoever the teller stepped away from the counter and made a phone call. She returned about five minutes later wanting to know whether or not I had another contact number. I replied «No» and she went back to her phone call. She returned back to the counter without any explanation or an apology, I was highly annoyed. Is it too much to ask for better communication? I mean you can communicate with your colleagues, why not your customers? I’m considering taking my business elsewhere!

Where to begin. I guess my complaint isn’t about the employees or this MCU branch but about the hot ghetto mess of MCU clients that frequent this location. What a disgrace. Lady! Get off your cellphone or lower your voice! No one gives a shit about your angry conversation with someone equally as uneducated and angry as you!

Really MCU??? Almost an hour to withdraw MY money from your institution??? This is plain ridiculous! Worse than the DMV, I was in the DMV last week and was out faster! This place sucks. It feels like you are waiting in a welfare office! Yes I said it that’s right. No wonder they have benches for people to sit, because it will be a wait, a LONG wait. I have never experienced conducting a bank transaction like this. People eating in the lobby stinking up the place, a security guard there for nothing because he didn’t even tell them to stop eating. My whole time there I watched the tellers come in and out from behind the glass, Seriously? A lobby full of patrons and you have employees walking around as if the place is empty? 3 Tellers in total on a Friday mid morning at the beginning of the month? No Damn sense! Then one teller must have only serviced 3 people in the whole hour I was there, she took about 3 breaks in an hour and right before my number was called I see her go to the back take off her sweater return with her purse and out the door, she was probably on another break. I really wish I could give this place ZERO stars because they are horrible. I will never go to this location again. I never have this experience at the Queens location.

This place is a cross between the DMV, an airport waiting area & your own private hell. I came to open an account and was greeted by 7 rows of benches (with no back support) and a lit-​up board listing numbers called. As it reached closing time, I was still surrounded by 30+ people waiting, including some cursing thugs threatening to «smite» the manager. That was it for me.

«Is it less crowded then?»
«I really couldn’t tell you»
«Are any other days less crowded?»
«I really couldn’t tell you»
Well I can tell YOU, I’m taking my money to a fat cat corporate bank that has some semblance of customer service. Screw the Occupiers!
