I am sooooo not a morning person, but I will get out of bed @ 7am just to get the oatmeal from this place. The bacon is really good too.

Left a 3 star review but they deserved a 4 since I haven’t had any problems and I order at least twice a week. Best diner around.

Who would have thought stepping into this place that it would blow my mind? Definitely not me. I ordered something that shouldn’t have impressed me, a bacon cheeseburger deluxe. Not only was the burger fresh and cooked perfectly medium rare, but it was juicy and seasoned properly. The fries were crispy and delicious, and the vegetables fresh. This is definitely a spot I would come to again!

Good food same owners of the people down the block… Just be careful when ordering stuff from them as if you want a little something extra on your sandwich something that should be $ 3 or $ 4 will cost $ 8 :)

3.5. Come here for brunch from time to time. Food is way better tasting than Bedford Café. Service is a coin toss. I waited about 35 minutes for my food. The table behind me got seated after us and got theirs in 20.

Delivery took a reasonable 30 minutes. Food arrived cold. Milkshake arrived completely melted. Burgers are the frozen patty slapped onto the grill type. Guacamole burger tasted like cardboard with a green slime. Super National Burger tasted like grease soaked cardboard with dirt tasting mushrooms. Fries were soggy, greasy, and tasteless. Pickles tasted like acrid, toxic waste. I couldn’t finish my food. At least don’t do delivery– maybe the food tastes better dining in.

I ordered off GrubHub it took over an hour for my delivery to come and to top it off the silver dollar pancakes I ordered are burnt and not enjoyable.

So my wife and I went here on a weekday because I had heard good things. The first problem we encountered was that my tuna salad sandwich with a soup took about 20 minutes to arrive. Tuna had no taste and was dry. Then when we went to pay, the cashier(who was the owner’s wife), grabbed my money, rung me up, gave me my change and didn’t smile, say thank you, or say please come again… so guess what??? I won’t !!!

Been coming here for years, don’t even love in NY anymore but still come here when in town. Everything is good, taste is always the same no matter who’s cooking which is a plus. Service is fast, and they have quite a variety. Family owned and run, so they really care about their customers. Thanks guys, you’re the best.

Based on reviews, we came here the day we moved in to the neighborhood, exhausted and ravenously hungry. We’re so glad we did! They had great food and fast service. We have also ordered delivery from them. It took a bit longer than expected but the food was hot and delicious when it arrived. Thumbs up!

This is the only diner I have tried and trusted while living in the Bronx for the past 3 years. I usually get the Burgers or Chicken fingers with fries which are both pretty good. I’ve tried the chicken and rice meal but I wasn’t impressed to be honest. Service is fast, friendly and efficient.

Nice neighborhood gem! Always nice to come for brunch on weekends. A little wait at times but customers don’t linger too much. Service is always friendly and food is tasty and fast. I enjoy the breakfast classics and occasionally enjoy a nice penne a la vodka. They also deliver and take cards!

I used to love ordering from this place because of their delicious breakfast. And i still want to love this place buuuuuuut I ordered an omlette with sausage on the side that arrived about 2 hours later. Everything but the sausage arrived on time. They refunded me 5 bucks but it 100% does not matter. They could have kept that money. I’m here for service, not a refund that I didn’t even ask for. In the end I got the missing sausage, but 2 hours later? My food was cold. Never again. Lately they’ve been falling short in general. This is the THIRD time that this has happened to me(missing food in my order) and the last time. Two stars: One for the refund and one for the sausage.

We came over from the other diner across the street because they didn’t allow us to substitute ‘soda’ with milk on the kids menu. We made the right choice because the waiter let us substitute ‘soda’ with milk — no questions asked. The food was very good and the chicken fingers were one of the best that I’ve eaten in awhile.

Love this place. So much friendlier than the Bedford diner across the street. We’d gone there first and were on a line, while the servers did their usual avert-gaze-and-don’t-acknowledge dance. After crossing the street and stepping into National, I was instantly happier. There was more space, it was nice and cool, I was greeted by Jenny from behind the counter and she was just so lovely, polite and attentive. Bonus, they had the fútbol game on! My boyfriend joined me a few minutes later and we were seated at a booth that still gave me the perfect view of the World Cup match. Orly was our server and he was awesome. The food came out quickly. It was delicious and they make the BEST iced coffee in the Bronx. They blend it the same way you would a milkshake and even offer to blend in some cinnamon and sugar. It’s even served in a milkshake glass with the extra on the side, and a beautiful foamy top on display. We did have to request a water refill but they took care of it immediately. I took the last bite of pancakes to go and Orly had even included extra syrup and a fork for later. Looking forward to my next meal here.

The best diner/coffee shop in the area with a throwback counter for seating. The orders come out fast. They have plenty of options including huge jelly donuts. The pricing is fine, typical for any diner. I always stop by when I’m in the area.
