Customer service could be greatly improved but the food isn’t half bad. Great place to eat after getting off the train though.

Cheap eats at its finest up in the Bronx. I got off of 95 and asked where the best place to eat quick was — got the answer«Chickenfest.» I had the two piece with two sides, and of course I’d asked the Mexican chef what his favorites were — the rice and salad. The rice didn’t look like much. It was the most unassumingly awesome rice I have ever had. The chicken was just OK, though, that’s why I have to bust this place down to three stars. Definitely worth checking out if you’re on 95 looking for a cheap meal and want some authentic NYC flavor. Cheap as hell and decent food.

Food in the Bronx is generally Great(not healthy but tasty so its hard to stand out). Chickenfest does a Good job putting out quality food at a low price. They have their own version of Lomein which for some reason I love. I thought I was the only one until I read Masta B’s review.

I moved from The Bronx to Austin, TX recently and the #1 place I miss from my old home is Chickenfest with Kenny’s Taco and Sushi coming a close second. As the above reviewer stated, it’s not much to look at and the counter process is a pressurized stream of people carefully and quickly enunciating their orders, but the food is so cheap and so tasty. For $ 4, you get two pieces of chicken, wonderfully seasoned btw, and two sides like whatever is that they call lo mein but is still good or mac and cheese. Used to go there almost everyday and you can tell there’s nothing like it outside the Bronx because I’m finally losing weight again, heh heh.
