Pie Country

THis is a review for their catering. I ordered a pie for a Manhattan delivery. The lemon meringue is fantastic and got a lot of compliments for being as tasty as it was pretty! Prompt, efficient service and great for special occasions. Only kept one-​star off because the website is a bit confusing and not setup for e-​commerce. I wish them the best of luck as the business grows!

Please keep in mind my review for Pierre’s Nutty Honeypie needs to be accompanied with gesticulating arms and hands, dances of joy, and emphatic and theatrical intonations for dramatic effect. Because guess what? I’ve found my new favorite pie company!
To be honest I’ve never had a particular affinity towards pies. Don’t get me wrong, pies are good, but they just don’t come to mind as my dessert of choice after a meal. They were a food item reserved only for the holidays, they were the last resort for using up extra fruit going bad, they were overlooked as archaic in favor of more glamorous dessert items on restaurant menus like Warm Guanaja Chocolate Coulant. (What even is that?)
However, on one eventful day, at a tasting benefit, I was able to experience the goodness and bounty that cometh out of the little grand oven of Pie Country that have changed my views on pies forever! A bite of Pierre’s Nutty Pie sent waves of happiness from my mouth down my entire body. The flaky, buttery crust offered the perfect backdrop for the generous amount of rich fresh pine nuts, perfectly suspended in a deep and rich honey syrup. It was jam packed with rich flavor, with each one of the simple ingredients pulling their own weight to create a balanced mouthfeel with every bite. The place of Pie in dessert history has been glorified again thanks to Pie Country.
Alicia– please add this local pie to your online menu so everyone can experience this life-​changing, pie-​perception-​altering piece of heaven!
