This store is amazing! Great little store to have in the area. Helpful and very nice staff and groomers! Prices reasonable though I’m not going to lie some things are a little pricy but it’s also not over the top. Since day one we have always been happy and impressed by the grooming on my little boy! Great clean cuts and always getting compliments with his little hanky they give him when he’s done. I don’t understand all the negative comments…

I have been going to popcorn Pawz since it opened on 231^st. I never had any problems with my grooming or with pricing. I took my dog to get groomed and there was a new groomer there. I explained how I wanted the haircut and even showed him a picture of the cut from the last groomed. I was called an hour after I dropped off my dog and told that he was ready for pick up which I found odd since in all grooming places they usually take 2 – 3 hrs. So I go pick up my dog and I immediately notice how choppy the hair on his face looks and the side profile of the face the hair was uneven. The hair on his back, paws and tail we also completely uneven n choppy. What was even worst was my dog’s skin. He must have had a reaction to something but his entire skin was red with skin welts. I am in the health profession I am aware sometimes skin reactions occur but as a «professional groomer» he should have came up to me and informed me of the reaction that occurred instead of me finding it on my own. Then when I am paying I am told my total is $ 99.22! That’s to groom an 11 pound Yorkie and I bought a skin spray for $ 12. That’s a ridiculous amount to pay for such awful service. I wouldn’t mind paying the price if I felt it was worth it. Also when I got home I noticed my dog was limping. I’m sure if it was a leg injury or just discomfort from the massive skin welts he had on that leg. I will never return to this groomer again.

I wanted to write an updated review based on my latest experience with Popcorn Pawz.
My first experience was not a good one and in my first review I gave them two stars. It was definitely deserved based on that experience.
Since my cat is a Himalayan and it is summer, it was time to get her groomed. Since the store manager at the time had agreed to give me a store discount I decided to give them another chance. This is the only reason why I decided to give them another chance — that and the fact they are the closest groomers to near my home.
The entire experience in terms of setting up the appointment with the staff, dropping her off, and picking her up went perfectly smooth this time around. When I dropped her off I gently reminded them of the ordeal that I went through the first time around and informed that I would be checking her before I left the store. For $ 120 it should be flawless.
They delivered. (Release the breath of anticipation!) She looks absolutely amazing. She can be an aggressive cat and they even shaved her «down-​under» areas neatly. I am impressed. I never got the name of the groomer but dude seriously deserves a 5.
The reason this review is four stars and not five: at my last grooming after the whole ordeal, the manager had promised me a discount if I took her back to Popcorn Pawz for her next grooming. My mistake was not writing down his name and the exact discount he was promising me. They said they would put it «in my profile» and I was naïve to believe they would do just that. When I asked about it the front desk guy looked absolutely confused and said he didn’t see it anywhere on the profile. He asked the manager about it and shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. However that was a tiny disappointment considering I am very happy with how she looks.
I think if you take your pet here, my tips would be: you need to be very clear and very specific about what you want. If they are promising you anything, write down the name if the person and the price/​discount etc.

They did an excellent job on my Lhassa apso/​mini schnauzer mix. When I brought her in her hair was long and a bit matted but when I picked her uo sje looked brand new, they even put little bows in her hair… I absolutely love the job that they did… couldnt be happier…
