pretty solid comfort food, the cook was well mannered, I’m not sure if I’ll revisit food wasn’t breathtaking.

At first glance you would assume this pace only serves up delicious Italian style sandwiches –I mean the name is Super Hero! I However they offer a wide selection of American fare. Breakfast seems to be the hot ticket item as people are still ordering breakfast well past the eleven o’clock hour. – and they will cook it up if you are ordering! But you can also get a whole host of lunch items.
My first sandwich was an absolute artery clogger that I concocted myself (fried eggplant, mozzarella, salami, ham, mortadello and balsamic vinegar) despite their extensive sandwich menu with very well thought out combinations of Boar“s Head meats, cheeses, and veggie toppings and clever little names such as the Halle Berry, the Angelina, etc. I am still waiting on the «Sparrow». The sandwich was well worth the calories and the killer workout I needed to recover.
Since then, Ive been back to try bagels (always fresh: crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside), bacon/​egg/​cheese combos, grilled turkey and cheese, home fries, muffins – ingredients always fresh! My personal favorite is the iced coffee: it is always fresh tasting, strong, and served with a smile. I have yet to be disappointed with anything on the menu and will continue to go back to eat when I can spare the calories. Yes, the menu (outside of the heroes) is basic, but they do basic very well! For a neighborhood that lacks good eats-​this place is a step above the rest!
Outside of the food being great– you can come here for amazing service. Its a «whatever you want» kinda place and you can get your order as special or ordinary as you want it! The team is amazing, funny, and you will not have a dull moment while you wait for your food to be prepared. If you are looking for a good laugh as well as happy taste buds RK Super Heros is the place to go!
They open at 6am, so closing time is 4pm – so not the place to go for a late night bite!
*Diet Ginger Ale is the only thing they are missing, but it doesn’t mean they lose a star*
