History

Established in 1986.

Tattoo Seen was established in 1986 by Richard ‘Seen’ Mirando. Seen is one of the most well known graffiti artists in the world, often referred to as the Godfather of Graffiti. After its opening, Tattoo Seen quickly became one of the most successful studios in NYC.

Today, over 25 years later and having survived through New York City’s tattoo prohibition era, Tattoo Seen remains in it’s original location in the Bronx.

Our artists specialize and enjoy all styles of tattoo. Appointments are recommended for custom tattoos but we have not strayed from our street shop roots and always make time for walk-​in customers.
