I’ve only been here once(summer of 2015), however whenever I’m craving jerk chicken, this place always comes to mind. The food was deliciously memorable. The jerk chicken was spot on– full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The cabbage salad was also delicious(and outside of kimchi i’m not a huge fan of cabbage), and the rice and beans also spot on. Based on my one experience, the food here gets a 5, however, the poor/stank/bad service, long lines and lack of seating make the overall experience an honest 4.

The best damn Jamaican food I’ve ever had no I’m not from Jamaica or even from the Caribbean but coming from the south the food is darn amazing the service SUCKS! So please don’t base your experience on the service till you taste the food! Hands down whenever I’m in Nyc and mobile I’ll return!

Lately I’ve been coming down here for food. Always come down cause their food is awesome. But lately I’ve been coming and they either don’t have one thing or the other. Like how do you not have RICEANDPEAS??? Whhaaaatttt!!! The other day I came here and they didn’t have fried chicken! Today I went and asked for fried chicken and the lady said 10 min(which they had rice and peas) 10 minutes later my chicken is ready but they ran out of rice and peas. Big disappointment. Wasted time.

Good curry chicken(spice just right and meaty portions). Also great mac and cheese. It is baked and with some decent quality cheese(you can taste the aged cheese). I agree with previous reviewer who said the girls waiting on you will often ignore you or have a «major» attitude. Now when it comes to the service, do they have class/customer service/friendly??? «No Mam»!! Now is the place clean, is there a longggggg line and do they have good food??? «Yes Sir»!!! Steamed cabbage is awesome(flavorful and not cooked too long). LOL but it is worth the trip.

The Service Really Sucks Here. The Food Is Flavorless And Full Of Oil. All The Workers Which Majority Of The Time Are Females, Always Have A Stink Face On. When You Try To Ask A Question You Get Ignored Until They’re Finished Conversing With One Another. Your Better Off Going To The Seafood Restaurant Across From Them.

A popular food website called them the best Jamaican food in the city and I can see why. The curry goat was exemplary. I like what they are doing inside with the multiple TV screens. You know its the real deal when the place has more Jamaicans going in and out than the Kingston central bus terminal.

Steam fish is amazing. I had it with the mashed potatoes and steam veggies! The oxtail is great too!

So this place was highly recommended, and I’m in NY, so why not? Well, I’ll tell you that this place has decent West Indian food, nothing really special. Previous reviews, raved about how delicious is it, and this simply isn’t true. I love West Indian food, and the Good Dine oxtails, left A LOT to be desired. I have had better oxtails out of my kitchen, but it takes hours to make oxtails and who really has the time when you are ready to eat. Based on the reviews, I was excited to try the oxtails and once I opened the container I had more bones than meat. The plantains were good, but it is pretty hard to mess up ripe plantains. The rice and peas were average much like the rest of the food. Go to this place if you’re in the area but don’t make a special trip like I did because this food is nothing special, just average. The best oxtails I’ve had in the Bronx were at Back Home, 169th and Boston( ). If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy greeting or spectacular décor, then keep on moving. However, if you want some good oxtails and pepper shrimp, stop in and place an order. Oh and the comment about the Champion Bakery was a fake out, too. The beef patties were sweet, and too wet. No thanks, I’ll be sure to review this bakery as well.

Jamaican people, especially many of the women have a problem. They have the worst customer service skills on the planet. I am from Jamaica, but living in America Jamaicans think I am Spanish. The food is good if I was not serviced boney curry goat Everytime! My brother-in-law goes and he is served meat! I was just there last night and asked for oxtail with rice and peas… I got a few oxtail and a ton of huge dumplings that would clog my stomach. I did not ask for dumpling! The women who serve BITCHES… every last one of them!

I am an Ex-Patriot from Flatbush Brooklyn to Riverdale Bronx, and my wife and I were in the mood for some good Jamaican food. The ones near us have not been that great, so we Unilocaled it. The reviews were few, but the message was clear, this place is the real deal. So we took the 15 minute drive over there. When you get there, its the place that is packed, not the one across the street that is empty. All that said, we ordered Oxtail, Stew Chicken and Potato salad. The food was excellent. Even reheating it the day after next, the food was still top notch. The prices are great, the food is great. I completely recommend it.

There’s 2 reasons you’ll be glad to eat at Good Dine. Firstly, it’s the only place open late in this rough neighborhood. Everyone comes there. I’ve seen lines there at midnight on a Monday. The reason for the lines is also the reason you’ll be pleased to eat there: The food is pretty good. It’s Jamaican centric but they have all the West Indian staples. I’ve had spicy pepper shrimp there as well as a curry goat that made me stop complaining about all the petty things in my life.

Not too far from the Champion Bakery(best Jamaican patties in NYC), this place has the best quick Jamaican-fare in the city. Try to go early(6−7pm), but they have amazing oxtail, jerk chicken, rice and peas, macaroni pie — I love my Jamaican food. :)
