The night after I stopped into this Mexican deli in the Bronx driving back from Connecticut I had a dream. I was back at Tulcimex where the actual bodega looked largely the same. But the space was now bigger. The wall facing the street had been replaced with an open space, and then a large dining room. What was once a three table operation had 20, along with a dartboard and a dancefloor. I imagine this was my subconscious confirming what I’d tell any person that asked — this place makes a mean torta. You don’t have to come all the way up here to get a good Mexican sandwich, but the odds of the combination of stringy cheese, beans, tomato, lettuce and chorizo coming out right are certainly higher in this area. Under a soccer match, and protected by The Virgin of Guadalupe, I waited for and the ate my sandwich. I wish there were proper agua frescas(only in the summer, I was told) or even the Jarrito’s soda water(instead of just flavors) but these are minor complaints. That meal kept me satiated long after I returned to Brooklyn and fell into deep sleep.

Pretty good tacos, i ordered online and picked right up, will definitely order again. The lemonade is ok, needs more sugar but thats my own preference. The chips and salsa is also a must for your order

Love this place! Their quesadilla is the best I’ve ever had. The staff is polite and delivery is always on time. Love me some quesadilla, chips, guacamole and a jarrito on the side.

Fast delivery, clean presentation, great taste. Ordered the cesina tostada and the steak burrito. Tostata was great, burrito could have been better. Burrito had 6 small pieces of steak. :-(. Overall good option.

I feel like every time I come in to get their supposed quesadillas, they’ve increased the price by .50 cents. Then it takes about a good 15 – 20 mins for the little quesadilla to be ready. I only come back because the neighbor barely has anything and in general sucks when it comes to food options(among other things).

They have great sandwiches and at a great price. I love to order the breakfast sandwich but not just any breakfast sandwich… Read this: turkey bacon and egg on a «pan de torta»(kind of like a roll but thicker and tastier!) with jalapeños and avocado and just a little mayo!!! My mouth is watering! The make it to perfection, they even toast the bread! Of course they have all your normal deli sandwiches and a variety of tacos, Tortas and burritos. Oh and it’s a grocery store so shop for some stuff while you wait! They are open 24 hours and you can place your order ahead to be ready for pick up or simply get a delivery! ;) love them!

Fantastic little Mexican Restaurant/deli/grocery. Freshly cook when ordered. When money is tight, the chicken burrito is a huge wrapped meal(meat, rice, beans, salad, spices) for 6.00 bucks… Cheese Flautas I think are best in my opinion(3) w/rice and beans. They even offer deli sandwiches w/Boars head products. Chips, candy, sodas, mostly Mexican brand products which is great for a change of pace from regular products we consume. DELIVERYUNTIL10PM CALLAHEAD and pick up LATENIGHT!!! Shit sounds like I work there, but it is actually super convenient and delicious compared to the basic crappy fare usually in this area

Restaurant/Mexican grocery store. Their food is delicious and for the price the portions are good. They deliver around the area right to your door. Being that its also a grocery store, its window is open 24hrs. Late nights, my buddies and I call and place an order, then walk to the store when its ready.
