I got started in the tax preparation business out of frustration. After I graduated from Baruch College I became an entrepreneur. I started several businesses with friends and relatives, but I was at the mercy of the tax system. I did not understand the whole system and felt that I was paying more than I had to. My tax preparer would not explain anything to me, he would just tell me where to sign and how much I needed to pay.

I needed to understand the whole process and not spend days waiting for my tax preparer to finish my taxes. So, In 1999 I took the H&R Block tax course. It was very intense and I learned a lot from the course. By the way, if you want to learn about taxes, the H&R tax course is a great course to get started.

After completing the H&R tax course, I was offered a position as a tax preparer in one of their Bronx locations. I gained a lot of valuable experience preparing a large number of tax returns for H&R Block. The following year I was promoted to manage one
