Kimberly is wonderful. She is calm and very anxious to treat you like you are truly special. I am always treated to a cup of tea when I arrive and always have a warm goodbye.

Just left Awesome Tan, Nail, and Spa after my first visit, and I’m hooked! I was drawn in by the sign in the window for a $ 25 gel manicure and soak off. With many places charging close to $ 40 for a no-​chip manicure, I’m always on the lookout for a deal.
The salon is very large, with several manicure stations in the front room and a back room with several pedicure chairs as well. The selection of gel colors was huge and from several different companies. Also the manicurist pointed out that the bulbs in their setting lamps are LED, not UV, which is a really nice feature. The manicure was quick, but well done. Next time I need a gel manicure, I’ll definitely go back. $ 25 is a great price, especially considering they don’t charge extra for the gel soak-​off.

I have been Linh client for over 10 years. Anybody who ever had manicure or pedicure with Linh stayed with her for life. I was so upset to learn that she was fired for no reason. I was absolutely thrilled to learned that she is working just next door at Salon Monet (1414 beacon street)

This place was only the best for two reasons. Color selection and Lynn. Today she was fired for no reason or explanation for her. They told her to pack it up and go. The owner I’m sure in jealous that she has the most clientele. She brought that business so much money. It’s a shame. I hope your business goes under.

This place is absolutely horrible! Worst service! These people mistreat their employees and basically abuse them– firing Lin, the best manicurist they had right before Thanksgiving!! This woman worked at this salon trough four different owners– and once Vincent and his girlfriend Kimberly came they fired her for absolutely no reason, without just cause. In fact they fired pretty much their entire staff. These women worked really hard and the situation is just unfortunate. He is a slime bag through and through. Thankfully Lin is now working at Salon Monet– next door to Awesome Ten– go there instead!

I used to love coming here but the new management is horrible. They are rude and treat the staff horribly. Worst is how they treat customers who have been coming here for years! Sadly as much as I love the manicures/​pedicures here, I won’t be returning. The new owners have been rude to me far too many times.

The new horrible owners decided to fire Lin (the best person there) for no reason. But don’t worry, she is next door for the time being at Salon Monet (1414 beacon street) and plans to open her own place in the spring!

Wonderful date night pedicures with hubby! Great leg massage, full treatment of ingrown nails, wicked calloused heels and beautiful colors. Friendly and engaging. We’ll be back.

I know the new management (Kimberly) is trying very hard to gain and keep new customers, but as an «old» customer for many, many years, I am not pleased at all with the loud, obnoxious music, the heavy fumes of incense that practically knock you out when you walk in the door, and the LACK of air conditioning. I love the girls who work here, and the place is always clean, but unfortunately I will be looking for a new nail salon where I can relax and feel comfortable.

A great salon for a manicure! I’ve been coming to this salon every few months for a while now, but this was my first time back since they’re under new management. The staff were all so nice and friendly, and Kimberly gave me a WONDERFUL manicure… one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely be a return customer whenever I’m in need of a manicure or pedicure. I’m sure their other services are great, too!

BEWARE — do not use KATHY. Had a mani /​pedi recently and tho the mani was fine the process began with a pedi from hell. Crazy stupid painful cutting of toenail has resulted in swelling and pain more that 24 hours later.

Worst acrylic set I have ever had. The nails are as thick as my finger and totally uneven. Super disappointing won’t be going again

I wish I could give no stars. Came in with a party and they didn’t have someone for me so I had to wait while all my friends went and finished. While they did start both nails and toes at the same time they rushed through and completely did the worst French manicure ever. I kept thinking they would fix it and then nope top coat on, done. I tried to tell her and she began filing my nail?!? The french is uneven and overly thick. I will never come back here

I like Tania. She takes extra special care of my heels and just the rough edges in general. Love her and will be back. That’s been my complaint about every other place I’ve been. I leave them needing to scrub my feet. Not here! The search is over! Tania gets it!

I’ve been coming here for about 2 years and I love it. The women are all so nice and the options for polish are vast. It’s been said but you can’t beat the price and the location.

I came in here for a mani/​pedi. When I used to live in Boston, this was my go to nail salon, because it was reasonably priced and they did a good job.
Unfortunately, the quality has seriously gone down. I had my gel mani done less than a week ago and it’s already peeling and chipping. My gel manis NEVER last less than a week, usually two weeks.
The gal that did my pedi also smudged the polish on my big toe and got polish on my sandal.
I won’t be coming back here. I was really disappointed because this place used to be awesome. Now it should be called Not So Awesome Ten.

I have been going to «Awesome Tan» since I moved to Brookline in 1998 It has been 16 years and I love the place They have always take an excellent care of me and they make me feel special when I’m there There are even a couple of the same girls who’ve worked there since the day I started going I think that says a lot about the owners and the coworker relationships The girls are always very polite and they will take care of all your needs The place is very clean and the prices are reasonable My favorite part is Maria’s gorgeous flower arrangements.

I’ve been coming here for years. I go to Linh for wax, and she is awesome! I feel like she’s a secret weapon, actually. She’s fast, and she’ll wax areas you might be shy about asking. She is intuitive, and very sweet and bubbly.
I was going here for nails originally, and they’re good for that too. The price is right, and the chairs are nice and big, and it’s right on the C line.
I like Linh so much, I come all the way from Inman to get her.
The salon has a nice design, and a bit more personality than other white-​box types.
Anyway, it works for me, and thus I’m very loyal.

IF you live Around Brookline, it’s a Great Great Great place To go, i go for wax — nails and tan, and i m really happy!!! I tried several different places before but Now i found this place i wont change. Lynn she is Amazing the price are very reasonable!!!

I am putting 5 stars for this place as it needs a little boost! I’ve been going here for probably around five years and I can say that it is certainly affordable, clean, fast and efficient.
I do go to the same girl (Lynn) for waxing as I think one tends to stick with someone who knows how to wax in the most sensitive areas :) I always do brow wax, lip and bikini with her and I cannot say one bad word about her! She is attentive, funny, careful and honest! She is busy often times but would go out of her way to accommodate me as a walk-​in.
As far as the staff, yes, they don’t speak much English but they always smile and always ready to take you in (if your person is not available). The owner, Maria, can be strict and to the point but she runs a business and I get the boss mentality in a place like that. It is very similar to a lot of different Vietnamese and Chinese salons out there.
I have done mani/​pedi there as well and it held the same amount of time as any other place. I think a lot of it depends on your own nails (i.e. how oily) and how carefully we are with our nails in everyday life.
I think that for the money, convenience in location, accommodation factor and overall services, the place is just fine. I love Lynn and would recommend her highly to anyone!

I came here with a friend for a mani/​pedi exactly 2 weeks ago. We came at a pretty random time on a weekday, so it was fairly slow. It still took them a longer than expected to get us both started. Once they started on the mani/​pedis, I was not disappointed.
My manicure lasted without chipping for about a week. However, the cuticle trim wasn’t great, and started coming back looking worse than it looked before the mani. My pedicure is still in perfect shape.
Long story short, I will be returning here for future nail needs.
