I have come to this establishment three times because I live on this street. Each time the attendant is EXTREMELY rude to me. I came back two more times after the first questionable experience because of convenience but I refuse to give this man any more of my money. I will pay triple at the laundry service down the street just to avoid going to this place again. He follows me around, double checks to see that I am not touching anything, and has actually asked me to hurry up to make room for other patrons. I had to remind him that I am a paying customer. I’m not sure if he’s racist or what but I did not appreciate this treatment and would strongly advise against anyone coming here. Ever.

Leo the owner is behind the counter and is friendly & competent.

Maybe they were having an off day but the numerous broken machines were not labeled and the one cart in the whole place for moving wet clothes from washer to dryer was in use by staff so we were dropping our stuff on the floor and struggling. We were the only ones in there doing our laundry (on a Saturday morning!) so they are lacking even basic amenities for customers.
The guy working there was very disturbed that we would open the dryers to get out clothes that had a shorter drying time. He showed us a text on his phone that said this «will break the belt «. I have never heard of this problem with dryers.
The older dryers do not get very hot and they only run for 5 minutes for the same price.
The café next door is fun and we scored parking right in front. Whole Foods has a restroom about a five minute walk away. So the location is good, if not the establishment.

This is the closest Laundromat next to my apartment and now I go out of my way to bring it to the laundromat down the street. The guy who services the place is rude. The machines in there are overpriced and super old. I would stay away.

I have to say, I have used the Beacon Soap Opera for wash-​and-​fold a few times now (I really, really hate laundry) and I never, ever regret it. This time, they even washed my grimy laundry bag. How awesome is that? I’ll answer that for you: It’s so awesome, I’m motivated to write a Unilocal review about it. Thanks a million, Soap Opera.

I did my laundry here a few weeks ago, and it seems… no one does their laundry here. Most people partake in their wash-​dry-​fold service.
Prices: $ 2.00 for the regular washers, $ 4.00 for the big ones. $ 0.25 for either 6 or 5 minutes on the dryer (depending on which dryers you choose… not sure what the difference is). You can get change from the front counter (I changed about $ 30 bucks in one go).
The family is sweet (or at least the wife is), but it felt a little awkward to be the only one in there… I can only come up with so much small talk (but I did get a recommendation for Hei La Moon, which I’ll try despite so-​so Unilocal reviews). I give it a two because my socks… all had hair and lint in them. Lots of different colors of hair and lint, despite the fact that I separate my laundry. Also, a lot of my other clothes still had a ton of lint. I’m pretty sure this isn’t a common occurrence and I spent a few days just getting rid of all the lint and hair.
