I have to say I agree with the first poster. She’s been my doctor for over 10 years, and I wouldn’t trade her for anyone. The office is old school, as is her approach. In fact, I just called today, a Saturday, to leave a message about a development and she was there, answered the phone, and spoke with me for 20 minutes.

After getting off work early and sitting in the waiting room for 1 full hour past my appointment time, I was finally called. The doctor was rude. Long story short, I stated that my appointment was cancelled and left. Terrible experience.

This is the WORST doctor I have ever been to in my life-and that includes having seen a doctor who accidentally pinched me with a speculum(ouch). I went in for an annual exam, and told the secretary that I would like also like a prescription for birth control. She scheduled an appointment for the following week, and I thanked my lucky stars that I could get in so quickly. I should’ve known things were amiss if I could in so quickly. They sat me down and had me fill out the usual intake form. Then Dr. Jackson had me come to her office on the back of her old, dirty building and spent an hour reviewing the information with me… um, I just filled it out, I think I know what I wrote. While doing this, she informed me that she does not write birth control prescriptions. Well, this would’ve been nice to know when I booked the appointment, I would’ve seen someone else, but I could not leave as she was already charging me for an office visit and insurance only covers one annual a year. During the appointment, she made awful comments, insinuating that those had sex before marriage were slutty, drugs were evil and that I was overweight. While the appointment was bad enough, I still have not gotten my test results back yet. It’s been a month. I have however, gotten the bill. Because the secretary spelled my name wrong, I am being charged $ 300 for test results. When I called to ask for results and complain about the misspelling of my name and the fact that I had not even gotten the results back yet, the secretary told me «well Dr. Jackson is busy. Can you call back? All you need to do is call Quest Diagnostics and they’ll fix it.» How about you DOYOURJOBANDSPELLMYNAMERIGHT??? ORSENDMEMYRESULTS!!! So thank you Dr. Jackson. Not only did you waste my time, but still a month later I have to deal with your dumb-assness. Thanks for all that!

I wish I could give zero — even negative — stars. I didn’t even get in to see the woman because I was told on the phone that she would not see patients FORANYTHING if they used a certain type of birthcontrol that she does not prescribe. REALLY?! A radical in her field? The only thing radical is that she doesn’t give [potential] patients the opportunity to even have an appointment before she casts them out of her clientele. Wow.

She’s only the most amazing doctor I’ve come across in all my years. A ObGyn specialist and certainly a radical in her field. She is someone who took about 90 minutes with me on my first visit. getting to know my history patiently and explaining every detail of what she needed to do and why. I felt like I was in a classroom with a really wise teacher. Very gentle, very experienced in her work, has absolutely amazing bedside manner, anticipates your questions and anxst. I told her that she was the most unusual practitioner I had ever been to, especially in this country — where time is money. She replied that she wasn’t going to be bound by the inhumanity of the insurance system. and would practice as she needed to practice — providing healthcare — even though she might piss off the powers that be. My kind of doctor.
