My husband and I eat here all the time. The spare ribs are not your usual. They are actual large ribs. Crab Rangoon are sweet and crunchy. The best! Food is fresh and non greasy like most Chinese restaurants. Best I ever had. Can’t believe the complaining comments on here really. The family is friendly and we always enjoy our experience every time we go.

We weren’t impressed with the food or the ambiance we observed when picking up the food. We live nearby and it wasn’t horrible so we will still probably get food here out of convenience, but it’s not a place we would highly recommend.

After a very busy day at the beach(and driving) I WASNOT going to cook and I’m so sick and tired of PIZZA! We even got a few items including for a guest that is vegetarian * Chicken fingers were hot and fresh… bigger duck sauce please :-) * Boneless spare ribs was yummy with a nice flavor * Pork friend rice was very good * Veggie Lo Mein … excellent! * Veggie Delight … so good I mixed it in with the rice and it comes with white rice too Dining room was a nice area. Owners seemed friendly I hope to go back and try some more of the dishes… hot and sour soup, crab ragoon, beef terryaki, mai tai, etc. and to play BINGO!!! I thought the prices were very reasonable as well…

I’ve been ordering from here off and on for a while. At one time the food was really good. Then there was a period when the food had really gone downhill. I’m not sure if there was a transition to new owners but it has improved but still not as good as it once was. The prices are reasonable and there is a varied menu. I would recommend getting takeout from here instead of dining in. When dining in, the servers take your order, bring you a drink, but rarely ever check back to see if the food is ok or if you would like another drink.

I come here sometimes for takeout with my Father. There are a lot of bad Chinese food places out there but this place is pretty decent. I haven’t had anything bad here. Which is a good thing since it’s the closest Chinese food place in the area. Highly recommend it.

Kun Garden is Brookline’s go-to place for Chinese takeout, partially due to the fact that it is Brookline’s only choice for Chinese takeout. My only wish would be that Kun Garden delivered. Their food is decent, and often times is exceptional, depending on which number drink I am on. I always opt for the chicken teriyaki instead of the beef, because it is usually tender and delicious but sometimes it is overcooked and chewy. I always get terrible fortunes. Pork fried rice is decent, chicken fingers are typically good, and spare ribs are often over cooked. But who am I kidding, I eat it all shamefully.

I stopped in at Kun Garden for lunch takeout very recently. This casual Chinese restaurant offers full service dining and takeout service. The dining room has a high pitched ceiling with a big painted mural of a tall waterfall and bears and several tables, fully carpeted, but worn a bit. Bingo is also held here on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings. The menu offerings include a good variety of standard Chinese dishes and house specialties, plus Japanese appetizers and soba and udon noodle dishes. Beer and wine served here. The prices here seem fair, most dishes under $ 10 and house specialties $ 10-$ 15 range. 23 Combination Platters served with choice of rice and choice of one appetizer are offered for lunch($ 5.50-$ 6.00) and dinner($ 7.25-$ 7.50). I ordered the Lunch Combination 15 Shrimp With Garlic Sauce($ 6.00 plus tax) with pork fried rice and chicken teriyaki, which was ready in about 10 minutes. The portion of food was modest. The shrimp with garlic sauce had tender shrimp(cleaned) with a mix of fresh vegetables, sauce had a mild spicy taste. The pork fried rice was decent, which had tender pork cubes and onions. The one chicken teriyaki stick was a bit dry on the outside and the meat was very tender and chewy. The food overall was pretty decent.

Absolutely the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The rice tastes like REALLY old oil. not even edible. The lo mien tastes fishy. The only really good thing was the chicken teriyaki. everything else was just tolerable.

I am a huge fan of Chines food so having a restaurant nearby is great. the food is good but not great. their Beef teriyacki is a bit dry I normally opt for the chicken instead. They offer option form lunch and Dinner combos to single dish orders. The staff friendly and it seems the restraint is operated by a family. I also found the restaurant to be clean. restrooms are shared with the Dancing bear hall that is in the same building. For the most part this is a very laid back and quiet restaurant. but it can be noisy wen there is an event goign on at the Dancing Bear, most Saturday nights.

When I used to live in Brookline my mom and I would eat here all the time. Right off of route 13, it’s easy to get to, has a lot of parking. Great service, they are always very nice there, and quick to take your order. They also give you little yummy chip things, sorry I don’t know what they are called. Their food is pretty good… but I feel like most Chinese food is almost the same. Take out is also an option! If you live in Brookline this place is delicious and close by!

Ordered take out yesterday; everything was very great. Orange Beef, Hunan pork, Sweet-sour chicken, and Won-ton soup. Looks like a nice place to eat in as well.
