Small little stop in Brookline, filled with goods you wouldn’t expect to stumble on. The owner is extremely friendly and conversational. It seems to be a locals spot as well. I saw several people come in just to say hi to the owner and ask about the family. Prices are very reasonable, and products are well kept! Would definitely stop by if you’re in the area

This is a nice little shop with an attractive selection, BUT almost no larger sizes. I had a great talk with the young woman who co-​owns the business with her aunt. She is Rubenesque gorgeous and told me that they keep hoping to stock more clothing over size 14, but it’s just not coming in. So come on, Brookline ladies. If you’ve lost a ton of weight, don’t hang on to those larger sizes (they tell us that in Weight Watchers). Consign your too-​big items, make some money, and help dress those of us who have just gotten down to your former size!

This place is awesome. They greeted me with open arms and consigned a ton of my stuff — unlike the places on Newbury (YUCK). The merch was great, high end, nice, great condition, easy to sort through. Prices were a tad high but they have a great markdown system. TONS of chanel — blazers, pumps, bags. AMAZING.

Consigned based on reviews read and can’t say that it was the experience that I expected. Personalities changed quickly after asking a few questions. Follow-​up could have been much, much better. This very polite customer is Very disappointed

Wow, do I love this place. The workers and owner are super friendly, absolutely NO attitudes, unlike a re-​sale chain boutique that shall remain nameless.
The clothes are GREAT! And they have all sizes. Prices are fair, markdowns are great, and I usually score something here. Definitely my fave boutique.

I wholeheartedly agree with this review. Therese is an exceptional, caring, patient and professional woman and it is an absolute joy to consign with her. I just spent over an hour consigning a ton of (mostly French) designer, vintage and other items with her, including Christian Lacroix, Thierry Mugler, Escada, Cache, black evening dresses, jewelry, handbags etc.etc. My black leather detachable fox lining and beautiful French mink are there waiting for you to go check them out.
I wasn’t looking forward to taking the huge pile of stuff I just brought back from living in Paris, but in fact, it was such a pleasure being in Therese’s store with her and her very positive attitude about the clothes I have so lovingly worn (not like Second Time Around — Mrs. Snooty manageress who was so rude), that I left totally uplifted and content, with a pair of gorgeous copper sandals I found there.
No doubt in my mind, greatest place to consign (and buy!). Love it and will definitely be a «frequent whatever» there!
I highly recommend it, it is the «crème de la crème» of consignment stroes, as one reviewer stated.

This store is awesome! Lots of great labels and the items are always in good condition. The NEW owner, Therese is super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly — very «present» when she is there (which is all the time). I agree with all the other reviews that say it is refreshing not to go to a consignment store that has a snooty owner and staff — at the end of the day, it is CONSIGNMENT, no matter what the label. Highly recommend going in frequently because there is always new merchandise.

The best consignment place I’ve found in Boston area. I am both a consignor as well as a customer. Redress really knows its customers, so the majority of what they take on consignment, they sell, because they know what their customers like. The owner and staff are extremely knowledgeable and respectful. As a customer, there are always great finds, a necklace, a designer scarf, a skirt. While the shop is small it is packed with great clothes in great shape. Redress Boston is much nicer and friendlier than other consignment shops around, which can be pretty snooty. I highly recommend this place.

I found this shop by accident while poking around my Brookline neighborhood — a cute tiny place full of great surprises! I just stumbled in out of curiosity and walked out with an absolutely gorgeous fur jacket purchased for an incredible bargain price. Have found myself going back for more. The selection is classy, tailored, the quality excellent and there is such a nice store atmosphere with the lovely owner right on the premises. What a difference from the usual consignment store experience. This place is a really cute gem. A small shop but a surprisingly eclectic selection and the fur section (faux and the real deal) is the best I’ve seen. Looking forward to supporting this local quality small business — a great addition to the neighborhood!

On a chilly Sunday afternoon, my friend and I wandered around on a shop-​venture after brunch and somehow ended up here. The staff (and perhaps owner?) is really friendly and doesn’t hesitate to talk fashion and style with you.
I’d say most of the stuff here fits into the slightly conservative/J.Crew-meets-Tahari styles, nothing too trendy or terribly unique. But my friend DID snag a pair of pretty-​much-​new Coach heels that are gorgeous.
The shoe collection is pretty nice – you’ll find Frye’s, BCBG, Dolce, Coach… all in really great condition. The clothes, on the other hand, are catered to an older customer, I think. Didn’t see anything I’d wear unless I was maybe a 35 year old businesswoman…
I wouldn’t go out of my way to shop here, especially if you’re a seasoned vintage shopper, but you might find a gem or two here if you luck out (jewelry selection is pretty rad).

This store is a great addition to the area. The owner is very nice, and the selection is good. Consigning with them was very easy and straightforward. As with all consignment stores, we get out of them what we put in. So I encourage Brookline gals to start supporting this store instead of Newton or Boston ones!

New owner, Therese… great vision continues. This is an INTERESTING store. Recent experience consigning A+. I always find it interesting to see the ‘what’ and ‘why’ behind a store’s consignment decisions. More interesting pieces favored over the dull and formulaic.

I’m SO glad I read the reviews before jumping the gun on finding a place to consign my things… this place really is the crème de la crème of consignment stores! I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and it was totally my bad for not calling ahead to schedule an appointment (first time consigning, you see), but the owner was gracious enough to look through my things, even though she was VERY busy.
She was personable and professional, and, most importantly, honest about everything – she ended up taking a few of my summer-​appropriate things (Chinese Laundry heels, boutique shirt, and a Coach purse), and told me to come back to consign the rest of my stuff in August, when they start taking fall stuff. It was so easy to get started here, and she was a delight to work with – very patient and business-​savvy.
I can’t wait to come back and browse through the store myself… I saw a bunch of items I’d be interested in (e.g., beautiful tan Tory Burch satchel, brightly coloured dresses, and LOTS of fun jewelry). I am confident that I’ll continue to do business with Redress Boston for as long as I’ve got a closet full of stuff!

I live around the corner from this place and I could tell from the very first time that I stepped in there that my bank account may be in trouble. I have never been a big consignment shopper, especially with experiences like I’ve had at STA (unless I go in wearing designer jeans and looking like I stepped out of an anthropology catalog, the employees are pretty unhelpful and sometimes downright rude). I now go into Redress once a week, just to see what’s new, and there is always something new. The owner and ALL of her employees are wonderful and super accommodating. I’ve been able to purchase things over the phone when I was out of town and saw a piece I wanted in an email from the store. They are also really great about making suggestions, but not pressuring you in any way. Whenever there is a story behind a piece of clothing, they’ll share it. I appreciate that, especially when there are vintage items (there are quite a few).
I’ve purchased many designer things that retail for large sums of money for virtually nothing. I bought a designer shirt (tag still on it) that retailed for 168 for 20 dollars. I’ve purchased a 400 dollar (again, tag still on it) bag for 75 bucks, a little J. Crew Clutch for 15, a designer dress for 14, etc. The list goes on. Another thing I haven’t seen mentioned is that the owner (Jacqui) was a stylist– hence the fantastic selection. She does a beautiful job curating the pieces so that while they adhere to the aesthetic of the store, they still appeal to a wide range of customers. Just a fantastic store, overall. They are also getting involved in the community, partnering with some young girls to sell their handmade jewelry, with all proceeds going to charity. There is no reason for you not to try out this place!

What a pleasure! The staff is an absolute dream to interact with and the owner could not be more lovely and engaging. I’d gotten used to the experience of being treated like a crumb at certain consignment shops (*STA*), waiting weeks for an appointment, losing money on tons of items and only making 40% of the selling price. Not so with Redress… very fair split, complete transparency with their policies, relaxed attitude about bringing items in, and a genuine appreciation that you want to do business with them. Its a small miracle. Super fun to browse around too– there are a lot of gems. Hooray for Redress!

Heard about this store a while ago… called in (from CA) and was lucky enough to have Larry help me. He was incredible. First of all, their selection is great… the owner (Jacqui) has a good eye for unique pieces. Secondly, their prices are pretty darn low. I don’t think there’s any way to beat that combination. Even out here in LA!
The staff is extremely helpful, and the people I dealt with (Larry and Jacqui) have great taste. Over the course of 5 different phone calls (on different days), Larry was able to help me find the perfect gift for a special someone. Larry was able to narrow down exactly what style I was looking for – all over the phone! You’d think after 5 phone calls with no purchase, I’d get annoying (I’m sure I was). Larry’s reaction made me feel otherwise: he was very patient and totally friendly. I felt like I was calling up an old friend for his opinion.
On the day of the purchase, I knew I wanted to pull the trigger on one item, but asked Larry to help me find another, smaller item as a sort of cherry on top to the gift. He did exactly that within my price range. Larry and Jacqui even video chatted with me so I could see exactly what I was getting. All the while, the three of us were joking and having a great time. I was more than a customer to them – I was instantly treated like a «regular».
I highly recommend this boutique for its amazing selection/​prices and even more amazing people. [There’s a reason I called a million times to order gifts from across the country!]

This cute little shop is spectacular. I’ve gone in and consigned a number of dresses with the owner, who is relaxed, stylish, and amazing friendly. She gives 50% of her selling price, regardless of where she sells the item. If she sells online, she’ll swallow the fees too! Redress Boston carries high end merchandise and surprisingly priced goodies! I love going into this small shop to browse, chat, or get new fashion ideas. I’d highly recommend consigning here and buying too!
Pros: Cute, small, clean, friendly, fashionable merchandise and great service!
Cons: Can’t quite think of one. Just remember, they’re closed Mondays!

I found Redress Boston while walking down Washington Street when they were in their soon to open phase during the fall and I «re-​discovered» it recently when a friend posted a link about it on Facebook. Honestly, this place is adorable and a refreshing change from a certain other consignment shop down the road (yes, I am talking about you Second Time Around in Coolidge Corner).
My consignment appointment was with the owner Jacqui and she is a doll. She was polite and respectful, even with the items that weren’t quite a fit for the shop. With regards to the items that weren’t quite a fit, she took the time to explain why and even suggested other outlets for selling. The process itself was relatively quick and easy. And unlike other certain consignment shops/​chains (again looking at your Second Time Around, payment is made monthly not quarterly and the split is ⁵⁰⁄₅₀).
While I was there to consign, I, of course, took the opportunity to look around the shop. The layout and design is tasteful and makes for nice displays/​groupings so it makes for easy shopping. And the stock… wow, it is a nice range of prices, styles/​eras and labels (big labels to the unknown). All these items have the common thread of being tasteful and stylish.
I don’t as of yet know how successful my consignments will be, I am confident that they will be priced to sell based on how other items where priced. Either way I definitely plan on both shopping at Redress and bringing in future consignments. Also, what impressed me is that should my items not sell, the unsolds are donated to a local charity, Second Chances I think. I, also, believe that Jacqui donates some of her overall profits to this charity.
So in a nutshell, if you are looking to consign items or buy something unique or designer, I highly recommend Redress Boston… plus by shopping here you are shopping local.
