AltSchool takes a holistic approach to education. Students receive a strong foundation in math, reading, writing, and science, enhanced through rich integration of the arts, foreign language, and social sciences. Social and emotional growth is prioritized alongside intellectual, academic and artistic development.

Our curriculum is adaptive to student abilities, interests, and educational needs. Children are able to question, collaborate, reflect, and think deeply in areas that matter to them. Teachers support learning and goal setting through carefully curated activities, projects, and assessments. Engaging instruction meets each student at his or her level, through project-​based and self-​paced learning.

AltSchool is an interdisciplinary team of educators, technologists and entrepreneurs building a network of schools that prepare students for our changing world. Each individual school is able to adapt to the needs of students, families and the surrounding community; the larger network connects everyone together and enables a far greater impact in our efforts to improve education. Underlying it all is a platform and curriculum that is personalized to each individual child.
