Great tacos and enchiladas. Happy hour all day on wed. Super lunch menu. Have been there several times and always very good service.

Guacamole was top shelf, beer was ice cold… and ½ off all day happy hour. Really good place at the end of a strip mall. Don’t pass this one by as it has a really friendly wait staff and great food.

Great drinks options. Great flavours in the food. But the place is little cramped and service is at best. The place is also tucked in strip mall.

Food was ok, but it was not hot. At best it was warm only. They may not cook each dish fresh to order.

Always love Fiesta Cancun! Great food, and such friendly staff. It’s like a family there, and a great place to go for birthdays especially! I’d have to say my favorite item on the menu is the Chimichanga Mazatlan — nothing beats it.

My family has eaten at the Fiesta Cancun three times now. This is probably one of the best Mexican restaurants in the northwest burbs of MSP.
The food is very good, the service is good, they are VERY FAST, almost too fast, and they are a good value. Everything I look for in a restaurant this is it.
I prefer their pork based meals while my wife like their beef based meals, nether of us cared for their chicken.
We have a toddler and they are very accommodating of kids.

This place was really, really good once. No longer, I’m afraid. Ordered take-​out from here for five people in my family. One order (Enchiladas Supreme) was swimming in enough grease to be inedible. A second order (Quesadilla Acapulco) was made incorrectly, requiring a return visit for a new one. A third (Camarones al Chipotle) had about five hairs in it. I haven’t looked at the fourth or fifth orders yet. I’m kind of scared to. No chance that we’ll ever be ordering from our once-​favorite Mexican place again, which is a damn shame.

The food is delicious, the staff friendly. We ended up on a night with only one cook, so service was slow, but not excessively so. The street taco pork al pastor was good and the tamale yummy. I did get the tamale with salsa Verde instead of the mole. This was one of the better places I’ve had in the cities.

7:30 on a Friday night and we had no wait to be seated and service came quickly. We ended up getting two entrees and two large (GIANT) beers for ~$ 35.
A lot of Mexican/​tex mex restaurants can be highly comparable (giant plates full of gooey, delicious cheese and beans) so it’s really the little things that set Fiesta Cancun apart. Chips and salsa were provided at the beginning of the meal, on par with expectations, but the kicker here is that the salsa was served in a pouring glass with two small bowls, so I didn’t even need to share my delicious salsa with my boyfriend! Additionally, coat hooks everywhere! Not super important at the end of May, but becomes crucial in winter when you’re trying to fit four people into a booth.
We ate the choripollo and the ranchero cheesesteak. Both were wonderful. I recommend the cheesesteak for something a little less traditional!
Sounds like a 5 star review, right? One small exception. Try to avoid the bathrooms. I encountered miscellaneous toilet tissue on the ground, a splatter-​covered mirror, and a salt-​shaker near the sink… uhhh, why?! Additionally, be VERY CAREFUL with the door– it doesn’t always lock the first time around. My sincerest apologies to the kid who caught me with my pants down.
Luckily, I didn’t eat my dinner in the restroom, so the unpleasantness was minimal.
Overall, highly recommend.

Amazing food and ridiculously fast! Even bigger orders only take a few minutes even when they are busy and the food has always been really good! They bring you chips and salsa almost immediately and the atmosphere is nice. The food is great and cannot be beat. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly. It is a gem restaurant hidden at the end of a strip mall.

I see that I have given Acapulco three stars on my «Chi Chi’s Equivalent» scale. (Chi Chi’s, by the way, would probably get two stars on that scale). Since Fiesta Cancun is distinctly better than Acapulco, it gets four stars. Note this is not the «Mexican Restaurant» scale, because this isn’t a Mexican restaurant!
This is Tex-​Mex food. I tried the carnitas, a dish which usually stumps the Tex-​Mex restaurant, and it was quite enjoyable. It was the «shredded» style, which I don’t like as well as the «crispy lumps of meat» style, but it had just enough pan juice mixed in to be tasty without passing into hard-​to-​eat-​neatly territory. My dinner companion had the chicken chimichanga and said it was good, with actual shredded chicken vs. the hard little chunks you sometimes get in such a dish.
The salsa was bland. I saw a review that said that there was a hot version, so I asked for some. It was. .. also bland, which was eerie, since I could actually taste the habanero peppers in it. They must have some sort of Midwest Blandifying Centrifuge in the kitchen they run it through, or General Mills makes a heat-​free habanero extract. Another review said the prices were especially low – they mentioned two entrees and margaritas (I think?) for $ 30. Now two entrees and two iced teas cost $ 30. They have a full bar, seemingly pecializing in slushified margaritas and liters of beer, judging by the paraphernalia we saw.
Oh, I almost forgot – there are TVs everywhere, but blessedly, the sound seems to be turned down. If they turned up the sound, I’d drop two stars.

Fun family restaurant with very reasonable borderline cheap entrees. If you’re looking for tex mex cuisine, this place hits the spot. Their menu is quite large, actually there’s too much on there — you’re mind goes dizzy. 6 – 8 pages! Crazy! Definitely has the biggest portion sizes I’ve ever seen; their burrito is the size of s pizza. The server was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Great little neighborhood gem!

One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been too! Their food is authentic! I got the quesidilla cancun and it was perfect! Huge pieces of shrimp and chicken and the cheese was amazing! Only complaint was that I didn’t get sour cream, quac, lettuce or tomatoes with it. Had to steal some from my boyfriends mom.

I’m not sure where to start. Just got back from there, pretty frustrated. The food was very good. Their business practices and service are horrible.
Surprise #1 — Sign on the door that says «Until further notice no liquor sales». We just about turned around and left because it was Friday night and we were thirsty. We were also psyched for mexican and there wasn’t any options close by. As an added benefit we had a buy one get one coupon we wanted to use.
The waitress was there fairly speedy taking our order. We asked for more salsa for the chips. Didn’t receive it until she brought our food and we asked for it again. We both had enchilada dishes. They were both very good, nice sized portions, in fact my wife couldn’t finish hers. We asked for a to go box after waiting for over 10 minutes to ask our waitress for the check. We gave her the BOGO card we had. The to go box never came, and the manager came over a few minutes later saying a requirement to use the BOGO card was you had to purchase 2 beverages. So of course I said well I’ll have 2 Corona’s. He said I’m sorry we can’t sell liquor right now. Neither of us drink soda, so we were kind of screwed. After arguing with the guy, it was obvious it was going nowhere.
Finally, after telling the guy multiple times that not very good customer service, I said charge me for the two sodas, pour them down the drain and let me use the coupon. After all was said and done, we saved $ 3.50 because we ended up paying for the sodas.
We would have probably had 3 beers for sure, 2 for me, one for my wife, maybe 2 for her, but instead we were treated poorly in my opinion because of an issue they had.
We won’t be back.

Really good. The wait staff is very nice and very competent. The food is delicious and the burritos are huge. They have a minor mix up with their liquor license though apparently it will be fixed in a few weeks. Currently no alcohol can be served. They needed to reapply for the license as the person whose name it was in has left the business. It would have been 5 stars except for the no liquor license.

I would consider myself hard to please when it comes to Mexican restaurants in the midwest (too bland on flavor and half seems microwaved), and my fiancé down right has never liked it period. That is until we decided to try fiesta Cancun based on the Unilocal reviews.
Now this place is hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant within the state. We eat here twice a week at least both dine in and take out. Their Chiles Rellenos are amazing as are their steak burritos with queso sauce on top. Don’t forget to ask for hot salsa along with their regular salsa and chips. Just make sure you like habaneros!
If you haven’t been here yet you need to give it a try. Just be warned, you’ll be disappointed whenever you try to eat Mexican again elsewhere.

Stopped in here last night with a lady friend after I’ve drove past this place more times than I can count while I head to hockey rinks in Blaine. Figure, my date is a Mexican food fan and I don’t want to go to Acapulco, so lets, roll the dice!
Place is located in a tiny strip mall. Has a bar side and a dining area side, very nice quaint place. Next to nobody in there at 7 last night, which was a bit odd.
We get seated, free chips and salsa quickly follow — some solid chips and salsa I must say! Service was great all around. Naturally we were chatting more than looking at the menu and the waiter was extremely patient with us and didn’t mind at all.
When it was time to look at the menu I noticed 3 words combined that mean I must order the dish… delicious cheese sauce. The rest of the dish could have been cow dung and rocks, I wouldn’t have noticed or cared given delicious cheese sauce! I guess lucky for me, it wasn’t. Actually a dish right up my alley, chicken, steak, and shrimp cooked up with fajita veggies over rice… and oh yeah, delicious cheese sauce! My date went with the burrito fajita (which sounds like an oxymoron, or something along those lines to me) which came out looking great.
Food took next to no time at all… that or I actually paid attention to my company and didn’t realize time was flying. Either way, it was out quickly.
Flavor = amazing. Great mix of everything together. The rice was nice and fluffy under neath, veggies were done really well and weren’t mushy — but still had snap. Meats were all done up perfectly and my favorite part, you’re not skimped on the proportion here. A hefty platter plate of food. with the majority of it being actually meat and veggies — not just filler in rice. And oh yeah, that delicious cheese sauce was delicious, who’d a thunk it?! Should have got a bowl of that on the side with a straw. Damn me for paying attention to my date and not on my food.
The burrito was very good by all accounts and even though we sat there for quite some time, no rush at all to be sent away, water was constantly refilled, and it was a great time.
Why not 5 stars? It’s a picky thing. To get 5, needs to be perfect. Nobody was at the front when we walked in so we kind of stood there like a couple of loose goats, and didn’t get a choice on where to sit. Just herded to where they wanted us. And no offer for delicious cheese sauce to go…
Still a great place and a happy I finally ended up there.

I loooooooove fiesta cancun! OK first and foremost — the place seems a little cheesy with the decorations — but whatever — getting over that isn’t too bad — it’s a nice place!
The booths are all very comfortable — the tables in the middles aren’t over crowding — the bar is lively and yet not too loud — it’s awesome!
But what seriously blew me away — 32 oz beers for 4.50 — what what what??? Yeah i know! We ended up EACH having 3, plus tequila shots — very nice tequila (they have a good selection).
As for the food… i can’t comment on the food since we didn’t have any. I could barely stand by the time I left. Good times!

This hidden gem in Brooklyn Park certainly outdid itself. We were in the mood for some truly Mexican tacos, and Fiesta Cancun was able to satisfy the craving.
First of all let’s start with the happy hour special; 32 oz tap beer for $ 3.50? I will have 3 of those, thank you! This is probably cheaper than buying a keg. The only weird thing about this beer was the blue salt. I have never seen that before but made for an interesting conversation topic.
I had a combination of tacos: carnitas, pastor (marinated pork) and steak. They were all pretty good, but pastor was definitely the best. The beans and rice were great. The salsa that they give you is not very spicy, so I asked for a spicier one and the one they brought me sent some flames out my mouth.
Service was fast and friendly, she was very attentive and warm.
Definitely one of the best places for Mexican food that I have tried in the TC.

I’m not going to lie, the first time I went I told myself I would never return. There were so many fruit flies there I thought i was really south of the border! My last few trips though I went in the winter and they seemed to have it under control.
I have had many things. Here are the things you can skip; wings and queso dip, unless you have a mediocre passion for those items they are meh.
The fiesta burrito though. DAT FIESTA BURRITO, the clouds part when it arrives with the side of re-​fried beans and rice. The burrito if filled with fatty pulled pork, topped with cheese sauce is dream worthy. I tasted it for the first time because my friend ordered it. It was like the beautiful girl from across the room at prom that finally asked you to dance. I only got a taste, but I came back craving for more and ordered one for myself. But enough about that.
If your 21+ and have a DD grab one of their grande cervezas, come in a cold mug and maybe even order a few rounds of 1800.
The staff is very friendly and the server is very prompt. I would compare this place to other restaurants like El Loro or El Toro, but its better. The quality of food is better and the items are actually distinctively different. Unlike El Toro/​Loro with red or green sauce poured over everything then placed with cheese under a salamander.
Final Word: I will be back. I will check it out when the weather warms up to see about their fruit fly issues and report back. If they are as bad as last time, most likely will not be back for food. If you get ONE thing get the BURRITO!
