3 In 1 Fast Food

I used to come here regularly for iced coffee and egg sandwiches. When a cashier asked for my phone number a number of times, I politely declined each time. Now, whenever I come in and this employee is working, I’m either (a) ignored completely and my order is not taken or (b) after I order and my food is made, I’m made to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be given my food. I’m done.

Highly disappointed in customer service with this deli. Orders not taking properly and there is no care or concern for correction.

This deli has what you would expect from any deli. However, when it comes to customer service and skill, the employees are seriously lacking.
You can expect to stand within a mob of people while the person making your sandwich is shouting out orders and taking orders, in no particular organization. The few times that I’ve been there, it appears that only one person was servicing the mob of people there for sandwiches.
The few times that I’ve gone, I’ve ordered bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll. The eggs were burnt, at best, and the sandwich was so greasy that it had to be dabbed with a napkin to become edible. I was so glad they gave me a plastic bag, because the excess grease from my friend’s sandwich had leaked through the paper bag.
The owner is really nice; he says «hello,» and «goodbye,» when you enter and exit. He is also the person who rings you up, often waiving the change on your purchase if you don’t have any.
I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you have no other options.

There is nothing more disappointing than limp, flavorless bacon.
I stumbled out of my building, paying the price for one too many picklebacks the previous evening. I had hoped to make it to Mile End for breakfast, but I’d idiotically left my sunglasses inside, and my head was pounding. I ducked in here, in search of grease in the form of bacon, egg and cheese.
For any other delis out there listening:
When I say that I want a bacon, egg and cheese with salt, pepper and ketchup, that doesn’t mean I want you to shove a few salt, pepper and ketchup packets into the bag. But your inability to throw these everyday ingredients on the sandwich itself is forgivable as long as you can deliver a tasty treat.
But no.
The eggs, although piled high, were hopelessly overcooked. The cheese was unmelted and gummy, the roll untoasted, and the aforementioned bacon an abomination. The finished product was as tasteless as can be, with one uniformly unfortunate, chewy texture.
Combine it all with lackluster service, and you should probably head down Hoyt to Jesse’s (at the same price point), Mile End (in a different league altogether) or Fast and Fresh (for a Mexican twist) when you need a deli in the area.
