This place never disappoints. My boyfriend and I come here all the time for lunch or dinner. Our favorite appetizer is the assorted dumplings. They are fresh and are not your typical fast food dumplings. I usually get the thai noodles and it is always satisfying. Good service and nice ambiance.

Dined here a few times. Food is pretty good. However, their service could be a little better. The staff is very unfriendly! Take out is a better idea if you’re going to order from here.

Came here for Christmas dinner. Had the sesame chicken(white meat), Crab Rangoon, & Shrimp fried rice. wasn’t impressed with the crab Rangoon but the Sesame chicken was some of the best I’ve had! Thin crispy strips of white meat in a sweet sauce. The Shrimp Fried Rice is real fried rice my just yellow rice with onions and shrimp. Check it his place out if you’re in the area!

Everything that we got was so good! They use good ingredients and very nice display. The noodle soup is amazing, the lunch specials were a lot of food for your money and really good(we got duck and pork), the dumplings were to die for(except we didn’t love the veggie). The shrimp dumplings were so good and high quality. Love this place! And the restaurant is very nice inside and the staff is very friendly!

The roti canai is one the best in Brooklyn. Their bass is to die for. Everyone there is nice and when I am undecided, they always have a best suggestion. The décor is very warm as well

Was very disappointed. I was once a huge fan of the Cantonese noodle soups but late lately it’s been awful. The pork is flavorless and dry and the chicken is rather fatty. The broth was once rich and flavorful now it’s void of any taste.

Satisfying to say the least. The sesame beef and the walnut shrimp are very yummy. The dishes are fairly expenive for Chinese food but it’s worth it. I don’t come here often but every now and then I have a craving for this place.

The 86 Noodle is an awesome place for a real Cantonese noodle soup. After the first bite, I ordered a second one right away. The pan-fried dumplings were a must have. The he steam ones were less successful. Love the location and the services. The deco is very different. It looks like a sport bar was once there. Yes, I will be there again soon :) #mynyc #happiness #mygoodeats

I wanted to try this place for dinner after my workout. The place was neat and clean, more upscale than your average Chinese restaurant. Service was A-plus. However, the pineapple fried rice didn’t quite blend in with the quality of the ambiance. Sure it was loaded with cashews and pineapples, and the size of the meal was generous. But the rice was on the dry side and could have used extra flavor. I’ve noticed that the positive reviews were based on the Cantonese dishes. Maybe I should have tried them instead.

If you want a just a little taste of authentic Cantonese food, come to 86 Noodles. They have my favorites like scallion pancakes and wonton noodle soup. I come here for my fix when I want to stay local. They also have my Americanized favorites like hot and sour soup and general tso’s chicken. I was pleasantly surprised by this place!

I been here a couple of times for takeout but after doing the AIDs walk on Sunday, my mom and I decided to eat in. The place was empty around 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated rather quickly and the waitress was very quick to take our order. We ordered a chicken and broccoli($ 9.50 — came with white rice even though it wasn’t noted) and a order of shrimp fried rice for($ 6.50). The chicken and broccoli was tasty but the meat was a bit tough. I like my chicken super soft and melt in your mouth type. The fried rice was okay, it just had too many peas. I am not huge on peas. Overall, the portions were decently size and the service was present but not really attentive. Although, if you needed something, just let them know and they were readily available to help. On a side note, the bathrooms in the restaurant were remarkably clean.

Was not prepared for such an amazing place. Went for a dinner at 6 pm on a Monday evening and had great real Chinese food. The roast pork egg foo young was amazing and the portion was much larger than I expected. Had a nice sweet and tasty pork bun on the side. For drinks, I had a well prepared Thai spiced tea. My friend had a dish of Orange Chicken, that was too much for him. The staff was nice from the beginning and no communication issues through my time there. They were polite and worked fast. At the end they kindly doggy packed my friends food and we left. The place itself looks nice, has a great feel to it. The tables and chairs are comfortable. One questionable thing was the music, it was sorta like instrumental fast jazz, which I did not mind, but did not expect in a place like this. Overall, a great and relatively cheap place for a full packing meal.

We went here for a dinner and I like the ambiance of this place. It has that modern Asian feel to it. For a quick drink, I ordered their original bubble tea and wasn’t impressed with the taste. Something is missing. The glass container is kinda cool though. The roti canai was served first and I was disappointed with it because besides that the roti is too thick, it is oily too. Not my type. The Ramen noodle soup with Pork Roast and Dumplings I think is really good. Hot soup, thin noodles, cooked right pork and good taste dumplings. If I get lost again in this area and with a weather like today(its only 10 °F!) I will definitely get one. Then came the Young chow fried rice, crab rangoon and orange chicken. The fried rice is okay. The crab rangoon is not my type. The orange chicken sauce is too sweet that it overpowers the orange that I can barely taste it. Our lady server I think is already tired that you won’t see her smiling to the customers. There’s a room for improvement on this one. Overall, some are hit and some are miss. I’m still generous that I’ll give this 3 out of 5.

I think I have been jipped out of my entrée ! It was my second time dining at 86 noodles — this time happen to be on a empty Sunday night. My friend ordered the pan fry veggie dumplings and I ordered General Tso’s Chicken $ 12. Upon ordering the waiter asked if I ever had General Tso’s chicken here(One of my favorites). I never did but my friend had the last time I came and looked really good. What a odd question to ask? But I brushed it off until my meal came out. I know general tso’s chicken and I’m not even talking about that $ 5 take out crap(which I also love). This was some other type of soggy mild spicy chewy chicken. I remember what it looked like last time and it wasn’t this ! I don’t mind ordering something else if a restaurant can’t make it, don’t try to lie to me ! This experience has made me hesitate coming again Overall 86 noodles will be «meh. Ive experienced better» for sure . ** Sidenote: Thai Icetea is sweeter then most places Ive been to, even the bubble tea. (The pictures provided are from the last time I came ! — when it actually was General Tso’s!)

My regular Christmastime Chinese Food place closed down so my friend and I needed to find another acceptable South Brooklyn substitute. A bunch of friends recommended this place. The 3 star rating is much more a knock on the service then the food. There were many open tables, but we were seated at the closest table to the door, which had a draft(something we joked about because the senior citizens that usually join us for this trip generally complain about that). The service was also nonexistent with the servers and hosts disappearing into the kitchen. We never got our waters refilled, and normally I feel like these restaurants have a dedicated water guy. They were also extremely slow to nonexistent to taking finished plates of food off the table(we ordered a lot so space was limited). The food was very good. Great steamed pork bun, good scallion pancake and tasty dumplings. The crab rangoons were basically fried wontons with no filling, seriously there was barely any filling which is a huge knock. Sesame chicken was outstanding, crispy/sweet/savory. Roast pork was good, but once it got a little cold it didn’t taste as good. Noodles in meat sauce was okay — the noodles seemed more like spaghetti than something hand pulled, and the meat sauce wasn’t anything special. Pineapple fried rice was also pretty bland. The entire meal cost less than $ 80 with tip and we did eat a lot, but the service has us thinking we’ll try somewhere else next year.

We’ve only ever gotten takeout from this place. The food usually comes within 45 minutes or so, and is always hot. I like their general tso’s chicken, but because it’s delivery nothing is too crispy. We’ll keep ordering from here because it’s dependable, but I’m still looking for the place with awesome flavors.

Been going here for literary 15+ years. Sesame chicken and Sesame beef is one of a kind here. A must have. Their home made sweet ice tea isnt too bad either and if you are looking to get tipsy they have a white wine sangria as well. Sometimes the staff can be rude but the prices and the taste of the food more than makes up for it.

I LOVETHISPLACE! I am actually a regular when it comes to eating here and I absolutely love it(I said that already right?) ENVIRONMENT: nice décor and plenty of seating. It has booths across two walls and then seats opposite of it. Good for groups since you can combine the tables. It has dim lighting but you can still read the menu without any problem. They have a couple painting, nice touch FOOD: I love their food although I will admit that I get the same thing usually when I go. They have the best lo mein I have ever had and chicken wings. Real chicken wings nice and crisp. It’s so worth it. My best friend has been going for years and she also states it’s among the best and has remained consistent. Their hard noodles and duck sauce is amazing and is a great snack when you’re waiting for your food or apetizer. SERVICE: Decent. They come around enough to make sure you’re okay but not so much you’re annoyed. When they are busy you have to grab their attention a couple of times which is normal so I don’t hold it against them. They do not take extremely long for your food either. PRICE: Good pricing. For lo mein chicken wings and an egg role I pay around maybe 10 and they are huge orders that last me the next day or two. Which is convenient and makes the cost worthwhile. would highly recommend !

86 Noodles came up during my Unilocal app search in Bay Ridge. Most reviewers mentioned their non-Americanized sesame chicken. So I went in there to check them out. The thin chicken strips were indeed different than others but it was too oily and sweet. The plate was left with oil after consumption. Since few had bragged about their hot and sour soup, I wanted to get a taste as well. The two piece of meat in the tiny bowl was ah-okay. The MSG got me really thirsty hence I ordered a soda. The male long-haired server brought me a can of soda. That’s it. No ice nor cup! How slacky! One star for the tummy ache and another star for the inattentive service. By the way, I like the bar section with a TV where we seated. I would recommend you go at your own risk, and if you do go please visit when there’s no sports game going on. The staff was busy placing bets on the World Cup games with their portable Apple devices.
