So I have been going to Dr. Bressler since I was 15, and I normally have good visits, but in recent years I cannot say that I have, The Medical Receptionist that has been there for years seems to have stopped caring about her place of work, her attitude with customers is ridiculous, she is rude, and she needs to work on her approach to the public, they have an office manager apparently since I have been in that office I’ve only seen her recently but she claims she’s been working there for 8 years, she as well is rude, now the policy they have there are dumb, they have NO accommodation what so ever for working class people, as if i just have time to take off and wait for 80 years to be seen, it was convenient for me but I will not deal with rude people who work for the public. Idk if it’s me but I think when the other doctor did my fillings it hit a nerve that caused my wisdom tooth to start decaying because it wasnt decaying the last time I got an xray

Another reviewer claimed my review was a fake so I’m just mentioning that people can read through my 30 or so reviews and see that I actually live in this neighborhood and review lots of obscure stuff like hole in the wall food places and halal falafel carts. Nobody is paying me to tell people where to buy vegan roti in Flatbush. Google and my previous review both say Dr. Bressler was a medic in Vietnam because he actually was one.
So in light of the bad experiences others seem to have had here I will temper my review a little so people will not be led to a business they won’t like. My good review was for Dr. Bressler ONLY. There are other people who work here and other aspects of the office I do not recommend or like.
–I like Dr. Bressler a lot. I do NOT like the other main dentist. He’s not thorough and he’s made weird comments to me. The teeth cleanings from various hygienists here are pretty mediocre too.
–The bulk of work I needed done was periodontal not dental and I most often went to the periodontist Dr. Valentina Peachway upstairs. I’m not sure if she was affiliated with them or just sharing office space and billing services. She has her own practice now and if you google it you will see she gets good reviews. Most of my positive experiences here were with her and she’s no longer at this location.
— The people at the front desk haven’t been rude to me. But they did something a little shady back when I had dental insurance. They submitted x-​rays to my insurance company for some elective dental work that got the claim flagged somehow. The front desk workers don’t really seem to be supervised by anyone.
–So you can read my previous good review (for Dr. Bressler only) if you need reasonably priced dental work. It’s a better option than being operated on by dental students. But if you have good insurance and/​or can afford to go to a nicer dental office you SHOULD.

This is an update to my visit to this office, which I had last year. The filling that one of Bressler’s «associates» drilled has literally given away a mere months after work. Other teeth that was «allegedly» worked on have sensitivity, as if whatever cavities that the fillings were supposed to fix are still there. I am now in the process of seeking another dentist in the desperate hopes of fixing whatever damage was done. This is a testament to the level of professionalism (or lack thereof) being practiced by this office.
BTW, I now feel comfortable going into further detail about some of other the disturbing ways in which this place runs its business. Remember I mentioned in my initial review about the «bully.» Now I’m going to show you how she and the Office Manager operate.
Long story short: I decided to cancel a completely unnecessary cosmetic procedure in the wake of the shoddy and questionable work I was beginning to see from Bressler’s «associates». I canceled the very next day after I signed up for it, in fact. But because the Office Manager had billed my credit card in advance for it, she and the receptionist started playing games with me about charging back my account.
For the first two weeks, the receptionist bully and the women at the front desk played «coy» with me, claiming they were positively helpless to give me back a refund because the Office Manager wasnt there.
So then when I called the Office Manager myself, I was told that I’d be «called back.» I waited the entire day and was never called.
I called the next morning and– wow, isn’t this cute– the receptionist who claimed for two weeks that she was totally completely helpless to do anything about getting my money back began explaining to me that the Office Manager was «very busy and couldn’t talk to me.»
She then herself proceded to arrogantly «lay down the law» and explain to me that I had «no choice» but to carry on with this cosmetic procedure I had canceled, because the office had «ordered the supplies for me.» (Keep in mind that I had canceled within a 24 hour period, so how was that even possible?)
One thing led to another and the next thing you know, the bully yelled, «Let’s see what Dr. Bressler has to say about this!!» before rudely HANGING UP THE PHONE ON ME. They never contacted me to settle this matter until two weeks later when I warned the office that I was prepared to take things to the next level (contact the proper authorities).
Luckily, I was able to get a refund by filing a billing dispute with my CC company. Great, but like I said, I have to find another dentist to fix the crumbling filling that was worked on, as well as investigate why in spite of getting $$$ work done on my teeth by this office, I’m still feeling sensitivity in them.
In any event, now you know the truth of how this place operates and why this place has kept such a rude, obnoxious person on staff. She is the resident «pit bull» there that the Office Manager hides behind to avoid the inevitable conflict that results from their shady business practices.
Bottom line? Avoid at all costs. And just know that a lot of the «happy customers» who posts at Unilocal and other places are shill reviewers. You can always tell because they usually are recently registered, have one post to their name, and end their reviews with «Thank you for saving my teeth» or some such foolishness. The «Sully Sullenberger» reviewer is a shill as well– just Google parts of his review and you’ll see the same «was a medic in Vietnam» bio pop up as well.

I first visited this dentist for regular exam and clean because it was close to where I live. I can’t say that I was overly dissatisfied with their exam and cleaning services, but compared to my current dentist they are not up to par. The staff is not as friendly and the office ambiance is not as inviting.
After visiting this dental office for a year, Dr. Bressler had suggested that I take out my wisdom teeth, which were not causing me any problem. Before the extraction, the staff told me the out-​of-​pocket cost of the extraction after my insurance coverage. The extraction involved anesthetics and a lot of clamping and yanking. In the middle of the procedure, Dr. Bressler broke my wisdom tooth. Instead of continuing to extract the piece of my tooth still stuck in my mouth, he informed me that the piece of tooth is close to the nerve line and it would be best to leave it there and let it push itself out. He said the tooth would be out in like 6 months. A year and a half later, that piece of my tooth is still in my mouth. After the procedure, I went to pay for the procedure and to my surprise, the staff informed me that I had to pay more than what she had quoted earlier. So not only did he not fully extracted my wisdom tooth, but he’s charging me more for it. I paid the requested fee and never went back to this dentist. I since then found a much better dental office near where I work where I can go for an exam and cleaning during my lunch break. The one star given to this dentist is for pushing me to find a new and better dentist.

I have an impacted tooth that was causing me excruciating pain and decided to visit this office after reading the previous review. It turned out to be a huge mistake. First they charged me $ 50 extra because they said it was an emergency appointment even though the clinic was empty. I specifically told them on the phone that it was infected and impacted on the nerve and if they would be able to remove it the same day and they replied yes if the infection isn’t that bad. When I get there I have to wait almost 2 hours to be told by another dentist that the oral surgeon isn’t there and that I have to come back the next day to see if he WANTS to attempt to extract the tooth. The secretary (a fat condescending lady) started telling me that the charge for the extraction would be $ 475 and tried to belittle me by calling another assistant and basically try to call me foolish for trying to find another clinic stating that is one of the cheapest prices around. I ended up going to another dentist (Dr.Umanoff at homecrest ave) and had the extraction done for $ 300 and the service was a million times better that this «ghetto» clinic. I would this place 0 stars if I could.
