I am a former tenant in a house that the founder of this company runs, and if the «repairs» made to our apartment are any indication of the service they offer, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. It’s been years of leaky ceilings, none working heaters (for months in the middle of the winter, EVERY WINTER) rude and pushy treatment, illegal entries, relatives living illegally in the basement, etc etc. Every tenant that has moved out has never received their security deposit back as far as I know. The owner, Samuel Diaz, is one of the worst slumlords I have ever dealt with in NYC — I am literally astonished that he is able to run a contracting firm without major major problems for everyone involved. If you call them expect to be treated like shit, get nothing fixed, and have it take waaaaaayyyyyy too long.
Speaking to current resident friends of mine recently and they tell me this story: They asked him to fix part of the bathroom ceiling that was water damaged from faulty plumbing that his own company put in, and it took 4 MONTHS of back and forth with an assortment of random characters, none of whom seemed to know what they were doing. Finally Sam tells them he is sending a real plumber — they wait 2 weeks, call him and ask where he is. Sam says «oh his wife is sick in the hospital» the guys shows up the next day to fix it and they say «hey, we are sorry to hear about your wife.» He says «I have no idea what you are talking about»!
If you want to waste time and money, get treated like shit, and get lied to straight to your face with absolutely no moral qualms, hire these guys.
And I’m still waiting on my security deposit — I wish I had the time and resources to sue him.
