hi how’s it going? are you guys charging a cover? — «let me see what you’re wearing under your jacket» — …a polo shirt — «yeah, it’s $ 25» This place would never in a million years be worth a $ 25 cover. I felt completely scandalized… some lame«club» in Williamsburg wants to charge me $ 25 just for the privilege to dance to its cheap Latin music. Give me a break. I seriously just wanted to do something that didn’t involve a bunch of hipsters, but this place is a joke. God, why did I ever leave Texas?

This is the type of place that you have to put an effort to get the party started, you know what I mean? You have to go to the vip section and drag out the ladies who are all dancing together… The DJ is the best thing they have going for this spot… ounce I locked in a partner, the DJ had us dancing back to back to back(only stopped to get some drinks in). Its not the lounge for many many patrons but I am a party starter no matter where I go and it does have potential, you have to make it work.

I have never actually been inside Aqua, but every Friday and Saturday night I get to watch the drunks spill out onto the streets, scream and shout and punch at each other. Occasional gunshots. As I write this, it is 4am and I am looking out my window as the cops beat people on the sidewalk with batons while I eat popcorn. I give this popcorn 3 stars. If only Aqua was popcorn. Stay classy, Aqua.

Went to this lounge last Friday for the first time… will be my last. The DJ is what gave this place the 3-stars in my review. From the moment you walk through the door, he was spinning music to keep you on your feet for the rest of the evening. He didn’t blast the music too loud, nor did he repeat songs or be overly interactive with the crowd The DJ had an excellent line-up and blend of bachata and salsa, mixed with hip-hop, pop and some electro/house. It’s a Latin club so the majority of the music was bachata and salsa which is fine with me. This lounge serves both liquor and hookah. $ 45 for unlimited hookah isn’t too bad. I think drinks for ladies were free until midnight(or i was just getting free drinks-not too sure). There is no coat/bag check for those of you who would be looking to put something away. If the people who were present at the club actually danced on the dance floor instead of standing at the steps or gathering within the VIP rope to stand next to their friends or drinking from the bottle, watching others dance, this club would be BANGING. It has extreme potential, but it seems the crowd came to either be with their significant other to chillax with or just watch someone dance for them. There seems to be way too much sitting space in here too. Other than that, meh, I’ve seen and been to better. Go here if you will have someone going with you and want to dance every so often but mainly sit. The dance floor will be a tad bit on the empty side.

Hated it. Getto fabulous!!! The only reason I came here was for a birthday or girls outing of some sort. Don’t remember. Anyways! Won’t be coming here again. It’s all spanish all night, for those of you who don’t know, now ya know. 1 freaking bathroom. Small crowded cramped place. Has a weird set up and décor.

Won’t even give you a glass of water. And nobody attends the coat check. FAIL.
