AVA DoBro

My experience with Ava DoBro maintenance team was awesome. They responded in a timely manner (within hours of me putting the request). My specific order was to change my shower head and even though this was a unique request, in that I wanted to alter equipment already in place, Sam from the maintenance team was very flexible and changed my shower head. He also noticed that the change was causing a leak on the tub spout and replaced it for me. Overall was extremely satisfied with the service provided. And I won’t hesitate to raise a request in the future if needed. Also would like to note that the process for raising requests is extremely efficient and user friendly via the Avalon website.

I have had a wonderful experience with the AVA DoBro’s maintenance staff. Sam and Nick in particular have been great. Whether the job was big or small, they were in to fix it promptly, usually within 12 hours of my request. And for a larger job (a leak that was only apparent after a very large snow storm), they took the time required to fix it properly, kept me updated on their plans throughout the process, handled our belongings carefully, and cleaned up thoroughly after each step. When my dishwasher was accidentally broken by my cleaning service, they were able to replace it 2 days later free of charge. We couldn’t be happier with their service.

Based on my experience as a current resident, I wouldn’t recommend moving here for another year because construction is behind schedule. I believe AvalonBay Communities Inc. (NYSE: AVB) was too aggressive in trying to lease up the building.
Our move-​in date was postponed because the building wasn’t ready. After three months of being here, I still wake up every other morning because of construction noise – sometimes the noise is so loud and close that it feels like someone is drilling into my head. We also have occasional heater and hot water problems. Equipments still don’t seem fully ready and well tested: my wife got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes two weeks ago! None of the amenities – gym, lounge, roof top, etc – are ready as I thought they would be.
Hopefully, the construction issues get sorted out over the next 6 to 8 months. It’s not worth paying premium rent in the meantime.
The leasing office employees are very nice and courteous and try their best to help: they deserve 5 stars. The building itself deserves 1 star for now. So, we’ll go with simple average.

Love this place, too bad I have a awesome place to live already. They built this place superfast. Planet fitness is around the corner, nice casual coffee place in the front entrance.
