Baco Dumbo – Event Gallery

I recently had my 40^th birthday party at Baco Dumbo and it was everything I could ever want it to be. The staff was so attentive to my needs and to my guests needs as well. Motti and Elyse were amazing and went above and beyond to make my vision a reality. I would recommend this venue to anyone that is looking for a venue that has it all. I cannot thank them enough for making my 40 Shades of Blue Birthday a memorable event for both myself and my family.

I held an art show in March of last year and couldn’t have chosen a better place. You can tell the owner, Motti, and his team really enjoy envisioning events down to the detail with you with their main priority being your comfort and ease. They made it so easy and they were very helpful with making themselves available for setup as well. Custom lighting, the built-​in projector, and overall elegant but versatile style of the space all help allow this venue be whatever you need to dream up for your event.
The location is in the heart of Dumbo too, right off the F train stop. I can see Dumbo adding galleries and shops all around, and they’re at the center of it all. I’d definitely love to hold another event here if I could. Glad we chose it!

I came to the wedding of my cousin on April 18^th 2015 in Baco Dumbo.
From the start of the event the staff were professional and helpful. The place where beautifully designed and decorated. The bartenders served us great drinks and the food came on time and very Tasty. Presentation of the food was incredibly beautiful.
The sound system that they have saved my cousin money & the DJ connected straight to their system. They also have two HD projectors hang from the beautiful white ceiling beams and we surprised everybody with slide show.
The photo booth that Baco Dumbo installed in the event space is a great addition to that evening. What a fantastic Event Space

I attended BACO for a close friend’s 30^th Birthday party. The bright white design and lighting helped us find it. We arrived at 8:00p.m. and found parking right in front of the venue on Jay Street. My friend has very fancy taste and decorated the space with white feathers to accent the lighting. The space was long like a hallway and small. At most I would host a party of 60 guests.
The seating needs work and to be reupholstered. The white couches had a beige drapery attached to it that was tacky. White leather would’ve been more fitting. More table space is also necessary for dining. My friend had homemade Guyanese food brought to the venue and sternos on the buffet tables were close to the door. I didn’t like this setup. The bar is very chic. Open Bar all night. Bartenders need some work. My Malibu Bay Breeze was mostly pineapple juice. The service here is impeccable. My date did not have to get up once to order another drink from the bar because the male staff member kept refilling his glass. Staff was on point and made sure everything was perfect. The presentation of Hors douveres was on point. This place would be an easy 5 stars if it were bigger.

Had an event here on November 22, 2014. Everything was perfect from the Staff to the ambience, could not have asked for a better day. Slavica (Sales manager), handled all the details for me and made sure that everything was taken care of before the event, I had nothing to worry about. Highly recommend.

I recently officiated a wedding at Baco. I wish I could give the place a good review, but the in-​house event planner was inexperienced and made many major mistakes. Despite her assurances that she knew how to run a wedding, she missed her cue on the music, turned off the AC frequently, set up the buffet incorrectly and didn’t know how to manage the line. She clearly knew nothing about wedding cakes and didn’t save the top portion of the cake for the couple as any wedding planner would know to do.
Another major problem was that the bride had specifically requested that there be no tip jars out. She paid $ 1000 for the staff to be compensated fairly. Yet the tip jars were out and were emptied several times. Many guests were bartenders/​servers so they were generous tippers.
Unfortunately, the event planner is not the only one at Baco who doesn’t understand customer service. When the bride called the owner a few days later, the owner did not apologize and instead defended her event planner, saying she had «full confidence in her.» The owner then made excuses for everything that had gone wrong. The worst part was when she lied about the tip jars. She said the staff needed the tip jars because that was the only way for them to make money, since she didn’t pay them, (This is illegal. Hello Labor Department, you need to visit this place.) If she didn’t’ pay them, then what was the $ 1000 for? She then claimed that the jars only had $ 24 and offered to send the $ 24 back to the bride as compensation. The jars were emptied several times and I saw many 10s and 20s in there, so they made a considerable amount more that than.
Baco has terrible customer service and illegal labor practices. They make promises that are forgotten once the checks are cashed. Use them at your own risk.

Recently had my event here, this place is beautiful! The service was great and staff helped me set up for my event. Definitely the place to have a chic and elegant event. I would definitely have another event at this venue!

This event space is in one of the best locations! Literally one block form the subway, and sandwiched between the all the cute shops in DUMBO, Baco is also only one and a half blocks away from the water front. We hosted an art event here, and then kept the party going at the nearby bars.
The event venue itself was beautifully designed and serviced. Prior to the event, the venue’s staff hired a professional team to help install the art we were showing. They worked with us to ensure our vision was implemented.
I felt like we drew a good crowd from both Manhattan and Brooklyn, because of the über convenient location.
Our guests kept commenting how elegant the space felt. I think it had something to do with the custom lighting and custom finishes throughout the space. Nothing but a wonderful experience and will definitely host future events here!

I’ve recently celebrated my 30^th birthday at Baco Dumbo and had an amazing night. Jamara is both professional and personable, in addition to her amazing team. My guests loved the amazing space and I imagine using them for events in the future.

Came here the other night again for another party. damn, they fixed this place up. The décor is now modern and impressive.
The food was really good. I was really impressed with service. The au devours service was constant.
