I’m so in love with this place and our favorite bartender ANDRE… it’s a must try great drinks and food is always good

The food here is amazing! Be sure to try the wings as well as the great waffle fries. Also there’s a team member named Joel who was very nice and hospitable. I lost my glasses and he told me that he’d be looking out for them. Thanks Joel!

The venue was amazing but the waitress Janelle needs some training in exceptional customer service! She was not accommodating and didn’t put any effort in the service!

We went to celebrate our friend upcoming birthday… loved the lounge chairs and concept. Felt comfortable and enjoyed our drinks that was recommended by our server. Will definitely be coming back.

This place is amazing for brunch, and I’m looking forward to dinner here soon. The brunch menu has all the southern comfort you could ask for at your finger tips. The Chicken and Waffles is good but the Salmon Croquettes and grits was everything. The large chairs and décor is very comfy in a old homey library that of feel. In the back there are larger tables for groups. I overall loved the experience here. I’ll be coming back for date night.

Food was good, atmosphere was nice seems like a great after work spot to relax… main gripes were seating(at least in the front) was too small to accommodate even a party of two, and there was one waiter for the front of the house that was about ¾ full, made service slow… I’d go back but only during a time when its better staffed

HORRIBLE!!! Do NOT eat here. I came with a party of 7 people to have dinner and watch an NBA game. The service is terrible. I ordered, food started to come, then they tell me they are out of mac and cheese. 16mins after I ordered it. THEN after my group finished eating my food arrived. Wth. I ask for the manager he says sorry and then… offers me a drink(and we were all drinking water and soda). I don’t want a drink you clown. I NEVER been to a Resturant that made each out us leave a credit card for dinner like I was at a bar. Never again. #NoClass

This is a compilation of several visits at Bedford Hall. Although the the ambiance is great they severely lack in their service, specifically the communication between the servers and kitchen. On my first visit, I ordered a drink and waffle fries. I happened to be with a large group and instead of taking the entire group’s order he took each individual order and went to ring it in. After the mass confusion as to why he did this, when the order came out(all at different times as you would assume) he brought out regular fries and tried to run away to avoid the obvious«these aren’t waffle fries» conversation. He failed to run it by the entire group, that the kitchen was out of waffle fries and just proceeded to bring out regular fries. My second visit was much more pleasant with the wait staff actually engaging us in real service, I also only ordered a drink and no food which made the experience much more pleasant. My third and most recent visit involved another fiasco with(yup, you guessed it– waffle fries) this time I sat at the bar, late night and didn’t even order a drink just a water and a late night snack of waffle fries. After about 15 minutes the bartender assured us the order was coming also acknowledging«I know they’re just fries» from noticing how impatient we were. After another 10 minutes the fries finally came. All of this coming from a late visit where virtually no one in the place had ordered food(or they were waiting twice as long as we were for theirs). This place has a great vibe but truly, truly lacks when it comes to the kitchen. My best bet, order a drink and nothing more unless you’ve got time to kill or get what you didn’t ask for.

I have to agree with another reviewer that this place really has service issues. Almost every time I have ordered from here there has been a mixup in my food. Not all the servers are as nice as they need to be either. Some of the food has been good and some has been just plain bad. It’s never consistent so it’s a gamble. I’ve tried so many times to give this place a chance because number one it’s in my neighborhood and super convenient and two because it does have majorly awesome ambiance. A place where you could really just kick back and relax with friends, especially spur of the moment. But despite my attempts to make it work, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

The wait is beyond ridiculous. We waited over an hour and the waiter came over twice to say the foods k the way and each time we waited about a half hot more. Just beyond ridiculous. Don’t come here if your hungry you may just die. #IJS

The food is great here and so is the atmosphere. The service needs lots of improving though. Staff is friendly but really slow. I recommend it for a good happy hour spot also for company events. The event planner is great and will work with your needs.

I was there several weeks ago. A small group of 8. Loved the den /living room /family room décor. Very mature crowd. Where we were seated, we had space to relax, but I could see some seats could be uncomfortable having folks all up in your business. We kept it simple with a few mixed drinks, beers, wings and fries. The mixed drinks were very weak, but the food was very good and beer is beer. The service was personable but a tad slow. It took us almost 45 minutes to get our food. Double up on the waffle fries… save time, they are excellent. The drink service improved as the night went on. Even with their challenges, I enjoyed the visit and will be returning in the near future. First visit we always expect more, so I am sure the next time I will have a better feel for the place and what they offer. Recommended by yours truly.

From the minute we walked in, the staff seemed confused! There was no record of my reservation so they created a table for us, which was nice of them but it seemed to really throw off the waiters! About 10 minutes after being seated I finally had to ask for menus!(More confused looks.) Once we placed our order each dish came out 1 by 1 by 1… WHATINTHEWORLD!!! Waiting for the rest of the dishes my food got cold, and Cold eggs are gross! I will say the rest of the food was DELICIOUS but the entire experience was ALLOVER the place! Disorganized, amateurish and awkward. We’ll check back in 6 months from now. maybe.

So i had heard about a bar/lounge that had the look of a former bookstore so this was my chance to check it out. The look is nice. Bookshelves line the walls with all types of books and board games(which i never got a chance to find out if they were playable). The drinks were ok And The food was great. They spared no expense in making sure the food tasted great and it did. I recommend if you visit try the steak tips. My only grip with the place was the lack of space for the sitting patrons. If you were seated at the table it was inevitable that your elbow would hit someone elses, and the wait to get the waiters attention. Even thought there was only 2 working it might have been 10 people in the general area of where i was and we all felt the same.

Found this spot on and decided to come here for brunch. Not a lot of places do Saturday brunch so that’s already a plus. The spot is designed like an old speakeasy which is pretty cool. You don’t sit at conventional tables or chairs. It’s more like going when you go to someone’s house for a gathering and you’re eating in their living room. I initially thought it would be awkward to eat but it worked out just fine. Our server was very nice and personable. Another plus was the music which was kept at a volume where you could hear it but still easily hear other diners. Now for the part that won me over… THEFOOD! Delicious!!! My partner and I couldn’t get enough of the salmon croquettes and grits! He also enjoyed the steak and eggs(I don’t eat steak). I also tried the eggs benedict(minus the bacon) and it was very good! The pancakes were good as well but weren’t as good as the benedict or steak eggs and the salmon croquettes were the best! I also liked that it is black owned and that a lot of the other patrons were nicely dressed black people. Felt like I traveled back in time to the Harlem Renaissance… just in Brooklyn lol. I will for sure be back!

Changes. Don Draper says they are neither good nor bad. They just are. Well he hasn’t been to Bedford Hall. When Bedford Hall first opened I was in love with it. The food was amazing. They had great cocktails. Everything was great. I don’t know what happened, but they changed. The menu isn’t the same. The cocktails suck. The whole vibe is different. It’s still a cool place to come to for a beer or two. The décor and setting is quite nice, but I wouldn’t get too attached. Sad to see them go downhill.

Lovely, cozy spot to chill with friends and/or family! Really enjoyed the laid back vibe of this place. Bedford Hall is right in the thick of Bed-Stuy. The staff is super attentive and knowledgeable. The crowd is also pretty cool. Everyone is just laid back and chilling at this spot. The pricing is also pretty good. My friend and I ordered waffle fries and two orders of wings(buffalo and chipotle) to share. We also had a drink each which all tasted amazing! The bill came out to a little under $ 44 total. :) We chatted with a couple cute dudes who were sitting next to us near the end of the night. I am planning to come back here as soon as I get a chance! I definetly recommend this place.

Love the atmosphere & vibe. Decour is cozy & English Oxford style when you 1st walk in. Perfect set up for good conversation & drinks. Typical bar food — buffalo wings were great. Not that thick wing sauce that I hate lol.

Came here with a few friends after an event to grab some drinks. What a lively bar in The Stuy. What’s Noticeable upon entry is the lounge like atmosphere. They tables are set up to accommodate large groups. Many of them are low tables with couches and love seats around them. Very comfortable setting for drinks and conversation with friends. Another thing that was memorable was the music. I’m very picky when it comes to my Hip-Hop tunes and I liked everything that they played. The food: I had the honey chipotle wings. There’s were easily better than your standard bar wings. The honey chipotle sauce is tangy and flavorful, not spicy like I usually prefer but their not being billed as spicy. I added some buffalo sauce to them which gave me the sweat heat I was looking for. I also had a few French fries from my friends plate and there were also good. It’s obvious that Bedford hall strives to offer food that is a cut above what you would expect to find at your local watering hole. Solid 4 stars with all the right things in place to potentially become a 5 star in my book. Considering the fact that I’m moving to this area soon I can see this place become my go to local food/drink spot. More thoughts on the menu coming soon.

Today was a bright almost cloudless day down at the farm. The animals were well and so was I! I’d been invited to the great house! My first time! As I pulled back the heavy velvet drapes that separated me from paradise, a feeling of exaltation washed over me. There was a duck on the bar counter! When did it get away?! On closer inspection I realized it wasn’t real. Whew. It’s huge in here. Certainly not what I’m accustomed to down in the sheds. Sofas and gigantic chairs made out of leather and iron are arranged in little clusters around tables in the front grand room. I imagine the Lord and lady entertaining couples, and groups of friends here. Opposite the bar one wall appears to be covered with books. I say«appears» because I dare not touch so I can’t be sure. Could it be that strange 3D invention I’ve heard them speak of? A horseshoe, and pictures of the great family adorned various walls. There wasn’t the fireplace I envisioned but the tea/candle lights placed all around more than compensated and added some warmth to my chill after a day on the manor field. At the back looks like a huge dinning area but I wasn’t invited back there. Had a ground veal Tunisia burger at the bar, veally veally nice, 4 out of 5 points. They gave me two plates of Buffalo wings as well, they were okay. I didn’t even know buffaloes had wings! Each plate had one piece of celery and one piece of carrot. The inside workers were very cooperative, they explained things to me. They even gave me wine! House red, lovely. Far different that the struggles I’ve had with my fellow workers on the field. I guess working indoors must be really nice. It was indeed an honor for me and I hope I’m invited back. I was on my best behavior so I see no reason why I shouldn’t be granted this privilege again. The End.
