This place is so good and legit. Freshly made pita and everything was delicious. Don’t go there for décor, but definitely worth for the food.

I came here after the blizzard. The restaurant was cold and I had to wear my jacket. The backround music I found annoying at times because it sounded like a man whining in Arabic with instruments in the backround. The food, well what can I say. I had tbe lamb merguez as an entrée. They brought it out 5 minutes after I ordered it. The only hot thing I got was the pita bread which was made fresh. Everything else was obviously premade and cold(my lamb). I had the same dish at the Bedawi Café. It was much better. I didn’t finish the lamb cause honestly it wasn’t very good and cold. The Hummus and salad were good. but hard to go wrong with that. I had semolina cake for dessert. It was tasteless except the honey flavor it had. I need something more exciting than that. The Turkish Café again have had better elsewhere. it was VERY bitter and I put lots of sugar inside. The waiter was nice though he agrued with me when I told him that I wanted to get a salad before the meal. He said let me bring your food and then you can decide if you want more. Honestly I was in the mood to try some authentic salads but when he said that I just said to myself forget it. The restaurant is clean but better looking in the back area where we sit than in the front where you first walk in. One more thing they DON’T accept credit cards. HATETHAT!

I thought the food was great until I discovered that they have rats and mice running around the dining area!!! They have rats running around underneath the carpets on the wall!!! Stay away from there!!!

The food here is soooooo goooood. The pita bread is warm and chewy, the falafel sandwiches are the best of the best, and the lentil salad is a perfect, healthy snack. I don’t eat meat, but my husband loves the margins sandwich. Highly recommend!

Wow, I just had the BESTPITA bread of my life! It’s so soft, warm, and chewy here. I’ve never had anything like it. Is this how pita bread is supposed to taste? I feel like I’ve been deceived all my life. I ordered the lamb plate and it was a decent portion so I couldn’t even finish it after eating a whole pita. The shaved lamb was very flavorful and tender. I also tried their chicken, and it was also delicious. They put a lot of peppery spices onto their meat. The plate also comes with a big serving of light and authentic hummus. Just a fantastic meal at an affordable price. Service can be a bit slow, which is why I can’t give it 5 stars. But other than that, would definitely come again or order delivery. Also beware, it’s cash only!

I did a day stroll through Brooklyn and saw this place on the walk to Barclay’s Center. Amazing place. Made to order, fresh tossed pita’s for their wraps. I had the falafel and it was really good. Perfect fry and wrapped in that awesome pita. If you like Med wraps, this is a must and really nothing on the West Coast can compare at this point.

It’s all about the food and nothing else matters. As everybody mentions, the pita is insanely fresh and delicious. I had the merguez platter and the assorted salad. Everything was extremely fresh, well prepared and generously portioned. Highly recommend the babaganoush and the feta salad. Super affordable with the most expensive item being $ 13. Everything for the most part falls in the $ 5 – 10 range. It is CASHONLY so make sure you come prepared. Service was quick but could be a bit more attentive. I had to call over the server for anything that was needed but it’s a small place so it came quick. Was also brought the bill before they asked if anything else was needed… I clearly needed dessert! Not a high end establishment by any means, but it’s truly worth it. Will be back for more and likely calling in orders soon.

Very good food, affordable prices. Nice outdoor seating. Staff is caring, and hospitable. Décor has such a comforting vibe. A nice little getaway in Park Slope. My go to is always the falafel, house salad, with hummus and pita. I’m always happy when I come here.

Love this cute little restaurant in downtown Brooklyn! The place can get crazy busy at times, and for good reason. This place churns out solid Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food for really affordable prices! There’s indoor seating in the back, and also a small little backyard area that’s open when the weather is nice. As others have pointed out, the service can be spotty at times… I feel like during busy dinner hours, food can take a while to come out too because they are in a mad rush trying to fulfill to-go/delivery orders. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for a sit-down dinner if you’re in a rush to be somewhere. The place is cash only(unfortunately) but they do have an ATM at the front of the restaurant for your convenience. The falafel is good, and so are the chicken and lamb that I’ve had… but the fresh pita straight out of the oven and paired with the hummus is the BEST! The pita alone is worth a stop. Def recommend this place for solid, reasonably priced Middle Eastern food if you’re in the area.

This place is simply delicious and great value. There’s a larger dining area and outdoor garden in the back, so don’t be deceived by the tiny, unassuming storefront. It gets quite packed at nights, and for good reason! Although the service can be really rushed/spotty(and we once received a dirty fork), the food is worth it, especially the leg of lamb and falafel sandwiches. We’ve also tried the platters, but I think the sandwiches are much better. These aren’t your ordinary sandwiches … it’s about 1.5x bigger, the pita bread is piping hot and fresh, and they’re generous with the fillings. I just love it. We tried the salad combo but were underwhelmed with the hummus and babaganoush. I liked the beets and spinach/chickpeas though. If you’re in a hurry, just get the falafel/lamb sandwich to go!

I LOVE the falafel here. They make their own pita, which is soft and delicious and the falafel is wrapped in the pita rather than stuffed into the pocket. I don’t know why, but that just works so well! The proportion of the falafel balls to other items is perfect and the tahini sauce, tomatoes, and lettuce combo is yummy. The turkish coffee is also excellent. A perfect way to end the meal. I adore this place and stop in whenever in town. It is perfect as a meal before a Nets game at the Barclay’s Center, which is just a few blocks away.

The falafel here is downright delicious. It’s seasoned really well and very flavorful, unlike a lot of other places. The salad and hummus that come with the falafel is also very good. The pita bread comes out piping hot and fresh! How can I go back to eating the packaged pita bread sold in stores? Idk. Thankfully, this is a place I can frequent a lot because of its great price and portions. My friend had the lamb sandwich and she enjoyed her dish as well. One downside to this place is that it’s warm and stuffy inside. Next time, I plan to sit outside. Definitely recommend this place!

Bedouin Tent is a gem of Middle Eastern authenticity in the sea of NYC Middle Eastern food mediocrity. I can’t underscore how much I love this place. Always affordable and feels like you are eating freshly made food from someone’s kitchen. You will find real Middle Eastern food here(not the fraudulent crap that«The Halal Guys» serve). With the rapid gentrification of Atlantic Avenue, Bedouin Tent has persevered and I hope it never leaves due to high rent. It is *very* hard to find fresh, authentic, amazing Middle Eastern food in NYC — compared to Dearborn, Michigan, for example. When you enter, there is always an Uncle making fresh pita bread — which is always freshly baked, perfectly chewy and served warm. Favorites: 1) Falafel Sandwich: It is large, filling and under $ 5. A total steal and so delicious and healthy. 2) LENTILSOUP: This is my favorite item on their menu. It’s the real deal. Smooth, creamy, served with lots of lime/lemon and olive oil. I often order only this and eat it slowly in the backyard.

Where else can you get a giant Falafel Sandwich for $ 4.50? Please let me know because otherwise, I think I’ve hit the jackpot. Bedouin Tent Restaurant is a cute little Mediterranean/Middle Eastern influenced joint in Dtown Brooklyn. The menu is simple — with salads, sandwiches and plates for VERY reasonable prices. Their food is incredibly fresh(homemade pita bread, holla!) and with quality ingredients. And that brings us to: the Falafel Sandwich. Simple and done right. Their homemade chick pea croquets are encased in a fresh pita right out of the oven and topped with lettuce, tomato and your preference of tahini and/or hot sauce. I recommend getting it all. Aside from their sandwiches, I recommend getting their version of pizza… called the«pitza». With tomato, cheese and your choice of toppings. It’s great! And last but not least, I thoroughly enjoyed their Semolina dessert. Topped with a simple syrup(I think) and almonds, this was a nice treat to end my meal with. I liked that it wasn’t too overly sweet. OH. And a reminder: Cash only peeps.

I had heard really good things about this restaurant from a co-worker at work, and was excited to try this place! After not being able to get here for about a year, I finally was able to visit a few weeks ago for date night. The atmosphere of the restaurant is small and feels authentic with the décor and style of music playing. It had a very interesting vibe, almost like all of the pieces were uniquely picked out with care at a cool garage sale. One detail I cannot fail to mention, was that the place was FREEZINGCOLD. I really do not think the restaurant had heat, the cold was literally unbearable to the point that I wore my coat like a blanket and my toes were freezing cold for some time after leaving. It really ruined a lot of the experience for me. To start, I ordered the harira soup which was absolutely delicious and helped keep my mind off of the cold. Truly so so sooooo good. It was very flavorful and filling, I think one bowl could have easily been my entire meal. We ordered hummus and baba– ghanoujh, both of which were probably among the best I have ever had. The pita here is HUGE, was sorry I couldn’t fit an entire piece in a picture! We also tried a falafel platter, but did not enjoy it. The falafel was flavorless and very dry, so dry that it was hard to swallow so we each just had one. We split the chicken pitza which was good… but just good. I wouldn’t say it was anything to rave or write home about. We also tried the lamb platter which we both felt was pretty ordinary as well. Overall, the majority of the food was good, but it was not special enough to make me want to go back. If in the area or asked to meet here for a meal, I would have NO hesitation, it was tasty. But, I would not go out of my way to come here. Not that it’s a big deal, but we were never asked what we would like to drink and were just given water. Tasty and unique place, but not one of my top favorites. I think the chicken pitza was the winner and definitely the soup! ***CASHONLY!*** Boyfriend had to run out in the cold to find an ATM!(Why do people still not accept cards!!!)

I have all sorts of love for this place! Great food! Great service! Great ambiance! If we are in the area and hungry, I always try to grab a bite here. :) Never a bad choice for either a sit in lunch on the adorable patio or a quick bite to grab and go. Love hanging out in the garden during the summers, the trees offer cooling shade from the heat and the umbrellas offer protection from the falling leaves. The seating is plastic lawn chairs so it’s decent enough for an hour lunch. My parents loved this place and that’s coming from restaurant folks! The Meguez Plate is by far my favorite! They have freshly baked warm pitas brought to the table with your meal and it’s lovely. This place really knows how to cook fresh and delicious! They also have this very refreshing mint tea to enjoy after your meal. Perfect touch!

For some reason it was in the seventies and gorgeous this fall day. My friend I wanted to have lunch in a patio. She rarely ventures so it’s up to me to kick it up a notch. I have been to Bedouin before and love the fact that they make pita on site, right when you walk in. We got here and there was still a few tables available in the patio. It’s funny when you are in downtown Brooklyn, it depends which direction you walk and the neighborhood can change so much. We each ordered the«Falafel Plate». The waiter asked if we wanted baba ghanoush or hummus. And I thought, why must I choose? They let us do a split. The plate came out and it looked amazing. There was a little drizzle of olive oil over the hummus and baba ghanoush. There was 4 good size falafel balls and there was even a salad. The pitas were huge and tasted so fresh! This was the perfect lunch spot to forget about being at work and enjoy the good things in life, delicious food and great company while enjoying the outside.

Stylish, Tasty & a cheap lunch spot! Bedouin Tent is a casual place that you can sit back, eat and chat away. Small tables mean you get to play plate Tetris but hey it’s always a good time with good company. There is an pretty outdoor seating option that was filled with people enjoying lunch & the sun. My date and I decided to get a couple small plates to share. We ordered Tabbouleh, Baba ghanoush, falafel, pita bread and two sodas. Loved it all ! Falafel was fresh and warm as well as the pita bread. Everything was so delicious. Food came quickly. Overall a great atmosphere and price ! Tab came to $ 18.50 and we were beyond stuffed! Definitely a place to go if you’re in the area. :)
