5 star service. Ordered food over the phone a few days ago before the kitchen closed, so it was waiting for me to eat there when I arrived.(I had a bad migraine and just wanted a bowl of soup.) I arrived and realized it was too loud & noisy & asked for it to go. They said«it’s phở» they were right, it’s not always best to take it to go. The guys behind the bar were incredibly nice and actually lowered the music for me so I could eat in peace. They didn’t have to do that. It was sweet of them. I’ll be back for sure.

It’s a bit out of the way but this is a nice space to grab a few drinks, especially on the rooftop. The roof gives you a nice view of the BK bridge and surrounding area. The Viet food here is nothing to write home about but can suffice when you are hungry.

LOVEBIA! Not exaggerating-have been here at least 10 times. Best Phở I have ever had! Dumplings, pork buns, and wings are mad good too! At night its a pretty chill bar– the bar tenders are great and make unique drinks. Also they have a roof top!

Swung in here on a Friday night in mid November. Great atmosphere, cool bartenders, and the pan fried pork dumplings were so good it made me want to punch women and small children. Do yourself a favor and get yourself and order(or two) of these. You can thank me later. The phở tai was a little meh, but we did order 10 minutes before the kitchen closed. Very laid back place. We will certainly be back.

I’m over Wburg, but am NOT over Bia! What a great bar. John behind the bar is the man, for sure. The food is great, the crowd is always friendly, and it’s a solid place to grab a nightcap or throw back a lot. If I still lived in the hood I’d be a regular– as it is, I stop in there whenever I come through!

Secretly one of my favorite places in the winter months. My usual order to share is bowl of phở, lollipop wings, and steamed dumplings. All very delicous. Sometimes some warm whiskey. Its a bar but its not loud or too quiet. Perfect ambience and extra chill. Never too crowded. I hear they have a awesome rooftop but I’ve never ventured up.

Food was good. Good quality of wouldn’t say it’s authentic Vietnamese. But unfortunately I just had to Wait an hour for my food. Because the waiter forgot to put our order in.. Also the waiter keeps sipping beer behind behind bar. that is not really a good look.

Really like this place. The food was good and felt healthy. The décor is great. The service was appropriate for the place. Will definitely go back again. It’s the perfect little late night spot

An extra star for the rooftop. It’s just really nice when the weather is warm. I liked the food, the meat in the phở was tender and the beer selection is great. I have no complains, for a quick dinner and some beers with friends, this is a great place to go. Maybe not for date night…

I love vermicelli. And if a Vietnamese restaurant can’t nail the vermicelli, to me, that’s a strong indication that they don’t reallyyyy know how to cook Vietnamese. This vermicelli was just terrible. I got shrimp and my boyfriend got chicken. Both were so unfortunate, I actually stopped eating it halfway through because it was a waste of a dinner. You get barely any food for what you pay(I think I got three pieces of shrimp). There’s also no flavor. It’s basically sticky day old noodles with a few sad toppings that taste and look and feel like they are day old leftovers from a bad salad bar. Anyways. Cute bar. Come here for a drink but don’t come here for the food if you are at all a lover of Vietnamese food.

This review is solely based on the soooo good pork chop that I had here the other night. First off, never in my life have I craved or even wanted a pork chop. The people we went with kept talking the whole night about this pork chop and now I know why. This pork chop was DELICIOUS!!! I want to go back right now and get it. It was so moist and tender. Go! Run now! You’re welcome! Oh and ask for double egg on your rice. ;)

Came here for my birthday a few days ago. Made a reservation for 7 and given a table that was really dark. The waitress took 30 minutes to get us drinks… and by drinks I mean 1 pitcher of margaritas to start. At one point I had to stand and literally wave down the waitress to get her to take an order. I was a waiter for 4 years so I have pretty realistic expectations and this was beyond poor service… additionally the girl seemed flip about it all or just pops xanax before her shift. Any subsequent orders took so long we should have ultimately just left. The food was alright and the price is definitely cheap. I would never return here. I was really embarrassed that I picked this place. Even with good friends it’s difficult to make a good time out of sitting in the dark with nothing to eat and warm margaritas to drink.

The space itself isn’t too bad. Interesting exposed brick walls, high ceilings, rooftop patio, very trendy industrial. The beer and drink selection isn’t too bad either. It’s good for a casual meet up with friends. But the food… I think we’re all desperate for good Vietnamese food in the area, and this was an option. But it’s hit or miss… sometimes, it’s decent and can hit the spot. But other times, it comes out bland and wishing you didn’t bother. On top of that, it’s not cheap either… which makes the bill hard to swallow when the meal was less than satisfactory. Come to Bia if you want a chill space to hangout with friends, may be even good for a big group, but pass up on the food just to be safe.

The phó was horrible. How do u fucc up Phò? Bland a f. The service fuccin sucks camel dicc. They even fucc up a cup of sprite. It took 40min for a bowl of over cooked noodles with watered down broth to come out. The shu Mai was actually good. I recommend yall to walk odd this place.

This place was all the hype when it first opened about year and half ago, the hype died down, but the place is still kicking for those loyal. Most of the food offerings are Viet oriented, few items such as shiu mai and dumplings are not, and the beer selection is respectable for a restaurant. Best part of this place is the rooftop that’s opened to all during a nice day. You can see the Manhattan skyline during a nice sunset while enjoying a cold brew, nothing beats that. Sadly, the food didn’t keep me coming back. There was a lack of full homemade flavor in the Phở and Bun. The service was great the times we went. No complaints for location and service, too bad the food didn’t catch up.

I was craving phở and decided to try this joint Broth was not as flavorful as the kind you’d get in Manhattan chinatown. I ordered the large which looked like the regular size you’d get in most Viet places. There was 1 waiter serving 6 tables so I’m not surprised that the service wasn’t the best. I noticed the reviews said the same thing so maybe this place is understaffed? It took a while for her to come around with the bill. She never refilled my water, didn’t bother coming around to see how I was doing either but again, 1 waiter for 6 tables. I’m not complaining. People around me had come in for beer and food, which was surprising to me given the time of day(Sunday at 2pm). What intrigued me though was the bloody Mary drink the bartender had made for someone. They make their own blend, put it in a plastic container and add sriracha in for the extra kick. I’m sure this place is great for a casual drink with friends and their food is decent. Its not my best phở place but the food did the job.

I came here for some late night phở Vietnamese food. They have large and small soups in which I should’ve got the large. I got the chicken phở which was OK, I’m comparing this to Vietnamese phở I’ve had in Chinatown and this was not the same. It was very bland tasting. The service was slow, the waitress took my drink from the table and I was not even done with it. The dirty plates were also sitting at the table for awhile. The environment and ambiance was different. They have a rooftop and also they were showing some sort of movie on the walls with music. But it was very dark, for a restaurant I could barely see what I was eating.

Where can I find good Vietnamese food in NYC? We came here on a Friday night because we were craving Phở. Started with Har Gao. not that bad. Got a small bowl of Phở. It was a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be. I was so used to the small size at a normal Viet restaurant being very large, so that’s why we each ordered a small. The broth had decent flavor, but not the flavors that tasted as authentic as any other Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to. There was little to no beef. It was not good, but it did the job for a late night craving. Service was excruciating slow. We were finished eating and sat there for over an hour with our empty bowls just staring at us as multiple servers walked past us. I noticed each one would glance over, and walk over to another table. Can we get some service over here? I couldn’t get out of there fast enough if I tried.

After going to an event, I was still hungry. I went to go get a late night meal around the area. I came to Bia, a place that serves Viet food and it’s bar. That is awesome. Bia has very homey feel to it. There is plenty of room to dine in and have some drinks at the bar. They have a rooftop that is directly underneath the Williamsburg Bridge. Imagine coming here during summer. Enjoying an alcoholic beverage and enjoying a Viet meal on the rooftop right under the bridge. I think it was movie night at Bia because they had projector and was the showing the movie on the wall. That’s pretty cool. No idea what they were showing though, never seen the movie. The menu is small and simple. I ordered the Bo Kho Doui Bo(oxtail stew with noodles or baguette). I got it with noodles. It was quite a tasty stew. The stew was savory. The oxtail was very flavorful and tender. I also got the classic Viet sandwich(pâté, Vietnamese ham, hock, minced bacon meat, carrot pickle, cucumber, cilantro, mayo, and ciracha.) This was a good tasting sandwich. Though I think the sandwich is little Americanized in taste. Bia doesn’t have much phở dishes or rice dishes on the menu, but I think they got the most popular dishes that you will see most people get at other Viet restaurants. They have some dim sum dishes on the menu, as well. If you want some late night Viet food then check out Bia. Stays open until 2 am. Good place to enjoy a cocktail, beers and have Viet food.
