Best muffins on Earth!!! They are fresh out of the oven and steaming hot! They are made with fresh ingredients, including the berries in them. No one can match them, not even homemade. This is a must stop if you like muffins!!!

I finally got around to trying Blue Sky Bakery’s famous bran muffin! It was good, but somehow, not great :(The crumb was decent, but it really needed some butter because the two muffins I tried were both dry. Where’s the butter?! I guess my expectations were higher than what was delivered and i probably would get another one if I was in the neighborhood, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for these muffins.

Now, let me tell you the whole story.
The website says opening times are Monday — Sunday 7AM-​2PM. Show up at 7:04AM on Saturday morning and the bakery is still closed. Back an hour later, purchase 5 muffins. So excited to bring them home, have my husband make me a cup of excellent hand drip coffee and enjoy the muffins.
These are NOT MUFFINS. Yes, they are muffin shaped, but they are not muffin consistency. They are drier and much less sweet than any muffin I’ve ever encountered. All the fruit flavors were absolutely flavorless. The carrot pineapple cream cheese had the taste of canned pineapple and sub par cream cheese. The only decent pastry of the lot was the banana chocolate chip. But it is still NOT A MUFFIN.
Wouldn’t come here again to satiate my muffin craving.
Very nice service at the counter, though.

I’ve lived down the street from Blue Sky for a year and a half before finally caving-​in and trying their chocolate croissant which was to die for. Then I tried their muffins. Now… I solely get out of bed on Saturday mornings to go to Boot Camp classes so I can go directly to Blue Sky post-​workout and enjoy their amazing muffins. This place is amazing! I could live off their muffins for the rest of my life and be extremely happy

I’m a Cookie Monster, & I love Blue Sky Bakery’s chocolate chip big cookie. About 5 years ago, I stumbled along to this place by way of Blue Marble at Underhill, they were selling the cookies, but would sell out, so I asked, & they told. I went a couple of twice, but our working hours clash they’re closing, when I’m @ work.

As I eat a warm and fresh-​from-​the-​oven zucchini-​raspberry-​chocolate muffin, I realized how long overdue I am to post a review of one of my favorite local businesses. George and Eric bake the best muffins I’ve ever had, so much so that I won’t eat muffins anywhere else. The ingredient combinations are unique and inspired. They are Main Street and thankfully located in a neighborhood that won’t let Panera in. The best!

I finally made it to Blue Sky Bakery for the first time recently after buying their muffins from coffee shops in Manhattan (like Ground Support). Picked up a blueberry, pumpkin apple walnut (which everyone here raves about :), and a carrot pineapple cream cheese muffin. For years, I’ve been obsessed with any of their muffins with cream cheese, but pumpkin apple walnut blew me away. I love how their muffins are so moist, but not oily, and the perfect texture inside yet hardy enough to survive a 6-​hour plane ride :) There are real blueberries and fruit pieces in the batter, people! These are definitely my favorite muffins in the NYC area. I will make sure to pick up some whenever I go back home for visits.

The few times a year that I visit Brooklyn, my friends and I stop by this place. The muffins are fresh, delicious, and hearty. I love the fruit flavored ones. Which fruit ones? Every fruit flavored one!
Maybe random but when I had a dog, I used to buy her little doggie treats that were next to the register. I think my dog liked them a lot.

Everything in here is amazing! My favorites are the pumpkin banana walnut muffin and the chocolate croissant! The muffins are $ 2.95 and are so worth it because they keep me full the entire morning! (no need to splurge on a big breakfast sandwich) Everyone is friendly and this place is so clean and hip but not in a standoffish kind of way. Real fruit and nut pieces in the muffins yet still taste extremely moist and yummy and not like I am sacrificing taste for healthiness. I am addicted to these muffins!

I wish I brought a book to sit down and enjoy my muffin! It’s such a cute little bakery. I bought the zucchini muffin with dark chocolate and raspberries.
It’s a hefty size and not skimpy with the dark chocolate and raspberries. I can argue that my muffin was still warm on the insides after my 10 minute walk back to my apartment. (yum)
It’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, aka muffin perfection.
I’ll be back, but to stay a little longer :)

Great coffee/​baked goods/​atmosphere. I come here most weekends I hang around town with a friend or by myself to read/​write/​do homework. Walking off the street and into here feels like a slice of Vermont in Brooklyn.
I’ve had a lot of the muffins and the ones containing fruit have a LOT of fruit. It’s great. Their banana/​chocolate chip bread is dense and delicious.
It’s very family friendly and I see a lot of families with small children coming in and out. There’s a stack of children’s books too.
Note; there’s no wifi.
I haven’t been to any of the other Blue Sky Bakeries in the city but I hope they’re all like this one.

I had high hopes for the Blue Sky Bakery. High like the blue sky above Brooklyn. But not on a cloudy day. Because then you can’t see it, and the comparison becomes dumb.
I finally went in here after missing their closing time 2 – 3 times on earlier food tours. I got a Blueberry Muffin because they remembered it. It was probably a 4-​star muffin (i.e. very average, since I rate family owned places 3, 4 or 5 only), but because of all the hype and the fact that I was expecting the muffin from heaven to change my life forever, I’ll keep it as a three. It was just a very average muffin that did nothing for me. In fact I may like the ones at Wegmans up in Buffalo better. Damn. That’s cold.
And if you sleep with a member of the Blue Man Group or Rebecca Romijn from X-​Men, then you might hear a «Blue Sigh.» If you’re any good.

Best muffins ever. We tried the Pumpkin Apple Walnut, the blueberry, and had some chocolate chip banana bread on the side. All three were delicious. The muffins stood out though as just ridiculously good. Just perfectly done — can’t think of how muffins could get any better.

Since it’s no big secret that their muffins are amazing, you have to get here early to get your pick. If you get there at after 9:00 am, your options will be limited. However, even if all they had left were bran muffins mixed in with their creative concoctions, you can’t lose. I love every muffin that I have had there, from super sweet with chocolate to citrus cupcake-​like, to bran with zucchini. This place rocks!
The staff is friendly and helpful. The tea is warm and tasty, the place is clean and they even provide reading material for children and adults. This is my go-​to on a Saturday or a Monday because it picks you up at the beginning of the week and helps you relax at the end of the week.

Visited Brooklyn over the weekend, had a great time hanging with friends, shopping, having a few drinks and whatnot, but in spite of all of this, the best part of the weekend may still be the muffins. I visited Blue Sky Saturday, Sunday AND Monday (before leaving) and am still missing their warm muffins.
Carrot/​strawberry/​cream cheese and banana/​bran/​apple/​walnut. warm, crunchy on the outside, warm and full of fillings. Stupid, foolish good. The iced coffee is also amazing. Such a great little shop, would make a point to come back next time I am in Brooklyn!
