One word. Ciroc-amomma-mosa. I’ve had one so its hard to type and pronounce. The brunch is always fantastic. This business is run by some of the warmest people in Brooklyn. A Bedford ave treasure!

Went to a private event at this spot, everything was very nice, but, the bar was a prepaid tab of 400.00, there were about 35 people there not all were drinking, the host was told afterwards that each drink was 11.00 dollars, really I don’t think so. Miller Lite 11.00 dollars, gingerale 11.00, let’s keep it real.

I had my 40th birthday party here! Everyone had a great time. I had access to the whole place with my DJ and my specialty drink. The food was plentiful and tasted great! I was able to decorate to taste and the owners joined the birthday jam. Love, love this place. I am about to call to have my aunt’s 85th birthday here. Crossing my fingers!

My friend had a private party here recently, and despite her having it catered for her guests, I decided to order my own plate of Salmon, which wasn’t an option on the party menu. The salmon and spinach were good. So was the Mac n cheese, but not as great as the waitress made it out to be. There was more cheese baked on top of the bowl, than there was on the inside. I’d visit again, and order this meal and look forward to trying something new too.

I went for a comedy show. It started late. It was funny once it started. There was a celebrity in the audience. The food was not good and it took almost an hour for it to be served. The drinks were really good. They also serve a $ 30 drink in a fishbowl! It is a great drink for 2 people that want to get drunk. I would possibly go here again for an event and if I did, I would not waste my money on food. Only drinks. One fishbowl and that’s it.

I was really excited about going to Brooklyn Exposure on a Tuesday. My friends and I were extremely hungry from shopping. We arrived at 5pm the time they were due to open. Let’s just say we had to call them to tell them we were waiting outside and to please open the door. Once we sat to order we were informed after each request that at least 45 percent of the food on the menu was not available. Why not just tell us before sitting that the refrigerator broke and we had to throw out most of our food. But because we were starving we ordered sides, tasty but not satisfying. Oh I forgot to mention the ketchup bottle she gave us exploded all over my boyfriend’s white t-shirt, my friend’s face, and the wall. The owner did apologize for all the mishaps but should have apologized for the fat check she gave us. She could have at least taken something off for the late opening, having no food available, and for the exploding ketchup bottle.

So I went to Brooklyn Exposure for the comedy, food & drink specials. Took 1 hour 10 minutes to get my wings which were HORRID(how can you mess up wings?) Tried to order a drink so I went to the bar at 7:45 to order because the special was over at 8pm… The barmaid didn’t appear until 8:05 and told me I couldn’t get the special because the other waitress came in late and blah, blah, blah. I thought that took a lot of GALL to tell your PERSONAL issues to a total stranger… I paid for my wings and left… The comedy was good but the service and the food SUCKS!!!

Soooo… I have a ton of «BK» friends and they tease me about living in another state… The Bronx… o_O. Last night I hit the concrete jungle equipped with my unlimited metro card and rode the silver train to the other side of NYC! One train and a shuttle ride later I ended up at Brooklyn Exposure. Easily accessible by public transportation. I was there for my girlfriends birthday. She apparently goes every Wednesday night which happens to be «Comedy Night». I’m not sure whether you can tell but I’m «Big boned»…COMEDY bone that is…(comedic drum… and crickets… don’t worry I’ll just stick to the review). I was sad to see that there weren’t more people in attendance! This is certainly a lil well kept secret in BK. GREAT strong drinks(and I can handle a good stiff one… wait…what’s happening here… I digress), GOOOOOOD food! and really funny comedians and hosts. The waitress«Davenia»(I’m SURE i messed that up) was cute, personable and helpful. I would go back again and suggest it to anyone who asked ‘what’s there to do on a Wednesday night?“ I had(and I mean… you could judge me but. you’ll be wasting your time) Creamed Spinach, Buffalo Strips, Cod Fish Fritters, and Catfish Fingers a Apple Martini and Lemon Drop… DEE-LISH! I would love it if more people attended this has great potential… tell a friend to tell a friend! OH and it was FREE to get in… I think before 9pm. Signed ~P, Has Metro card will travel!

I didn’t know there was anything good on Bedford Ave!(no offense to anyone). I came here for the Monday night open mic. It was supposed to start at 7 but didn’t start until around 10pm. For me that was expected. The atmosphere and ambiance was nice. Layout is pretty cool. The food is okay, nothing to get excited over. Bartenders are friendly. If I lived in Brooklyn I would definitely go here more often.

I come for the«I cant stop laughing» comedy show on tuesday and have a great time. Its only $ 10 and the comedians are always funny and even if they’re not, the host is always good for a few laughs. I usually only get the wings which are pretty good, not great but good and the drinks arent as strong as I like ‘em but other than that, this place is cool.

Best bar in central crown heights. Good middle class crowd and great music, poetry and open mic Sundays and comedy Tuesday’s.

I’ve always had a good time at Brooklyn Exposure. I used to go for the karaōke. I haven’t been in awhile(maybe a year or more), but that has nothing to do with the establishment. I’m just not on that side of town much anymore. Great atmosphere, mixed crowd(usually on the«grown & sexy» side), but with a little«street cred» thrown in now and then. I’ve always enjoyed the food(the fish, especially), and I don’t think the prices are too bad. Might be time to revisit the old spot.

The food is average at best, but that’s not why you go here. The owners are super guys and take pride in their place. The bartenders are extremely friendly and have a good strong pour. I’ve been there two weekends in a row for their karaōke night. I don’t participate. I spectate… and let me tell you there are some folks with some serious pipes in the hood. They can sang! If you’re looking for a maturer, well-dressed crowd that likes to have fun and not be too serious then I highly recommend this place.

If I were to rate the ambiance alone — I would say Crown Heights is desperately in need of more establishments like this, and I’d give BE a resounding 5. In particular I like the double floor layout. The second floor has a nice nook that can give you a secluded romantic vibe if they adjust the lights right. Overall I’d say — cool and comfortable. However, I have to take into consideration the food and prices as well. In this department there was a disconnect. I don’t think the food — which was less than generous in quantity, and only decent in quality — warranted the prices being charged. Don’t get me wrong, the prices are not expensive by NYC standards, but given the key factors — the neighborhood, the quality of food, and the quantity of food — I was expecting better. But I want to emphasize, the food was not bad. I had a good solid meal. But there was no special note — although my company did enjoy the jerk salmon. I sampled it and thought it was a bit overcooked. Back to the good stuff about BE. The crowd — the night I went the crowd was very reminiscent of Night of the Cookers, in Fort Greene — the good looking, black people. But in speaking with the owners, they explained that Brooklyn Exposure draws a very diverse crowd depending on the night. I have pictures:
