Specialties
Our teachers and staff are united in a desire to be a Great Guitar School – one with spectacular lessons and classes and outstanding service. We want every student, guest and teacher to leave our school strengthened in mind and spirit, and more able to rock. You can study rock, blues, jazz, funk, metal, emo, classical, bluegrass, if it is guitar, you can study it here! We also teach bass, mandolin, ukelele, banjo, dobro, slide, etc.
At Brooklyn Guitar School our teachers are inspiring, warm, and gifted. You will find that we are committed to your success and enjoyment. We invite you to try a lesson or class with us.
History
Established in 2008.
Brooklyn Guitar School opened in 2008 as a sister school to New York City Guitar School in Manhattan. We use many of the same teaching methods and class curriuculum as our massive relative, but we have a very non-Manhattan like open loft space and our own stage. We are very friendly and enthusiastic, our staff are amazing players and teachers, and our students are some of the chillest, nicest people in New York City.
Meet the Manager
Shane C.
Manager
Brooklyn Guitar School Director Shane comes to us from Seattle, where the summers aren’t that hot, the winters aren’t that cold and it doesn’t rain as much as you’d think. Since he left his hometown of Anacortes, Washington in 1997, he has taught English in Prague, waited tables in Scotland, played shows in Australia and rocked it as a poor musician in five continents and over thirty countries. If you visit Brooklyn Guitar School, ask him to juggle ukeleles.
