The librarians here are incredible! Kind. Helpful. Patient with answers to questions. I needed help scanning and emailing time sensitive paperwork and the librarian ran over to help me with every question I had, not to mention helping my husband and I get library cards on the spot. I felt very welcomed coming in. I love my local library!

boooo… Loud, Smelly, Hot, And the rude front desk people. This place is soooo close to my house so if I’m pressed for a movie ill go and trust me each time i have a bad experience. I have stopped going there and rather ride my bike to park slope, or to grand army plaza.
The one good thing about this library is that i got so tired of coming here and dealing with them that i bought a computer and put internet in my home so i wouldn’t have to interact with anyone there.
The nicest person there who for some reason always ends up helping me out cause he seen me there so many times and knows i only pick up movies is the security guard I’m mad i dont remember his name right now but when he’s at the front I’m soo happy cause i know its gonna be a smooth time get my movie and leave… i wish it was like this other times…

Ditto on all bad reviews. The staff should be fired and replaced. I couldn’t even stand to use this branch to pick up holds. I want to be happy going to the library, not dread the attitude at the front desk. It’s worth it to me to walk further to the Cortelyou branch where the staff won’t act like jaded unhappy teenagers when you ask them for help.

This branch is the closest to my house. For the size of this place, I feel like they could have rearranged things and make the space big enough to hold more books. The seating area is always full. The people at the counter are so unhelpful. They are on the internet, chatting with their friends. their replies: «use the machine». «drop the book in the return box». What happened to the days when the librarian used to check the book you were returning? No presence whatsoever. Might as well be an ATM.
Seriously I just consider this branch the holding place for my holds

This is a TERRIBLE library. I have been here on 3 separate occasions and will never return. The previous reviews are right — it has free wifi and it is quiet and small. But that is as good as it gets. The books that you place on hold are very often not there and the staff (I’m not even sure they’re that or volunteers) is all over the place. They don’t seem to know where the sections are and they’re very rude. I don’t normally have a bad experience at the library but I would not come back here ever again.

This location is very tiny. I usually go just to pick up a reserved book since its closer to me. I really wouldn’t advise anyone to go here. The staff is so… blah. The security guard is also the checkout guy? weird. It’s not so kid friendly as Central Library. The computers are always packed with a bunch of old looking men. Its located around the corner from Flat-​bush ave, close to a Carver bank. I just dont find it so great. Its good for basic needs. And since its not as crowded as central, the bathrooms are cleaner :) They get a 1 star for that. Lol
