Business Owner

Dr. Salem graduated, Summa Cum Laude, from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CCNY and attended medical school at Mount Sinai. After graduating he went on to complete is residency in Emergency Medicine at Brooklyn Hospital Center and was Board Certified in 2004. He continued to practice emergency medicine and became an Assistant Professor at Kings County/​SUNY Downstate from 2003 – 2009. Dr. Salem founded Brooklyn Urgent Care in 2006.

I am so happy to see a great medical facility in the area. I walked by this place when it was being worked on and was so excited to see it was going to be a Brooklyn Urgent Care! My Pcp is never available due to being booked all the time so when I had the chance to finally check this place out, I for sure did!
I walked in and was greeted with smiles. Even throughout the whole visit, it was all smiles. The receptionist at the front was very friendly and ready to answer all questions. The medical assistant was great and not anxious to get to the next patient. He was very calm and all ears! The doctor was great as well. The wait time was not long at all for a walk in doctors office. Even a few days after my visit, I received a phone call to see how I was doing which is awesome! I would deff recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Hopefully, the staff keeps their smiles and they are deff a necessity for this area of Brooklyn!

I was looking for a PCP physician close to where I live and came across Brooklyn Urgent Care. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a genuine warm smile and pleasantries. Every step of the process was done efficiently and with courtesy. My wait time was all of a couple minutes and both the doctor and patient coordinator were very kind, gentle and helpful. The best service I have had in a long while. Thank you to everyone I interacted with today. Your excellent service and demeanor definitely improved my day!

After going to a closest hospital and signing in. After waiting about 30 minutes I realized I would not be seen anytime soon My mom suggested going to a new place that opened up not far from the hospital and we went to Brooklyn Urgent Care. Whoever runs this place has a 5 star service background. Greeted with a smile, they helped me fill out my information, walked me to show me where the restroom was, best of all I saw a real Dr inside of 10 minutes. He diagnosed me with Rhabdomyolysis. It occurred from some intense training and a very serious condition. As far as I’m concerned without the help of this office I could have been on dialysis the rest of my life! I Sincerely Thank the staff at Brooklyn Urgent Care for everything they have done. You are an asset to the Brooklyn area and welcome!
