History

Established in 2011.

A group of neighborhood characters reclaim their friendship and unite in a plan to give-back to the neighborhood they grew-up in. Café Lore is the first step of a short-term/long-term plan. The friends intend for the café to promote ‘performance’, as well as music and art education with monthly demonstrations by artists willing to share their craft. A prix fixe menu and an evening of appreciation for the Arts sounds like a wonderful evening of calm, cool, culture and civility in our hectic-constantly-on-the-go lifestyles. These evenings with working musicians helps us identify sources for music instruction for the youths in 11 220 (Sunset Park) and our surrounding neighborhoods. Because without music, life is quiet and without art, life is mundane.
