Specialties
Clifton Corner is a safe space of learning to support overwhelmed and anxious students who struggle with issues of perfection, motivation, organization, learning differences, and self-esteem. Through the tools of Social & Emotional Learning, mindfulness, creativity, leadership and positive psychology, I promote self-discovery and personal accountability to help young people transform their identity to reach new goals of intellectual and personal growth, from middle school through college.
My special «tribe» are Highly Sensitive and Twice Exceptional Students. These kids are often misunderstood in a variety of ways and struggle to recognize their unique and wonderful gifts. Through individualized interventions, strengths-based coaching, and multi-sensory strategies, I create a learning plan for school success.
I also support high school seniors in the college application writing process to highlight their unique experiences in an authentic and engaging essay.
History
Established in 2006.
After teaching high school English for over ten years, I earned my credentials as a professional life coach, and was hired as a Master Trainer in Emotional Literacy at Yale University for two years. I then opened a private practice of educational therapy in Brooklyn, where I cultivated a full and thriving business for a decade. Now in 2016, I am launching a new chapter of my private practice in Historic Haddonfield, and look forward to serving the families of Greater Philadelphia.
