So frustrating that I have to rely on them to ship my FedEx packages. What everyone described is totally true — not open during business hours, not nice and overpriced.

I live right up the block and stopped going to this horrible place a year or so ago when j just couldn’t take it anymore. They are slow, rude, closed at random times and on random days, and charge insane prices in addition to charging prices for weird things that almost seem like graft. The last time I ever went there the woman charged me $ 5 cash to leave a package there for UPS pick-​up. What the f*ck is that???

I practically live on the same block as them, and I can tell you, they’re never ever open. The lady who manages the store is very rude. They charge a little too much for simple stuff like copies or downloading something on the email. It is exorbitantly expensive and a little unmanaged. So now I walk 15 long blocks just to never see this store again.

I browse Unilocal all the time, but literally just created an account to write this review… CLINTON HILL BUSINESS SVCES CENTER TREATS CUSTOMERS LIKE CRAP.
For years, I’ve used Clinton Hill Business Center because it was the closest post office to my apartment. And every single time, I’ve regretted it. Fort Green/​Clinton Hill is such an amazing diverse warm growing neighborhood… it deserves a place better than this. It’s just sending packages, making copies, and a few other very simple tasks. But somehow the woman who owns this place manages to make every interaction exhausting, frustrating, offensive, infuriating, demeaning.
Hardcore examples: arguing with customers about how they’ve packaged things, confusing them about renting private mail boxes, threatening to throw your packages out because someone she had «watching the store» made the mistake of accepting them, snipping at people for asking too many questions, and on and on and on.
Just look at the other reviews. So much hurt and anger. LOL. This is not a fluke. Look, there’s a Staples right down South Oxford and around the corner on Atlantic Ave. I think they do all the same services. Probably less expensive as well. But more importantly… without making you feel like trash. There’s a package, copy, computer shop (The UPS Store on 165 Court St) all the way over in Cobble Hill that is the polar opposite experience. The gentlemen who run that spot are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful… they have equipment that isn’t broken or outdated. They sell supplies at normal rates. It’s worth the G train ride to Cobble to go there instead.
Just find anywhere else to do business… you’re worth it.

DO NOT GO HERE. WORST BUSINESS EVER. she is also doing real estate which she is always out, never opens the store and it is really expensive. she is an ignorant B****, just go somewhere else, if there is an option to file a complaint to fedex or other services, I would so she can no longer do that stuff. she sucks and she should just do real estate which I am sure she sucks at too.

I don’t care how close this place is to my house. Never ever again. Their printer is super slow. Their copier was broken. Their prices are outrageous. And the owner is an awful, divisive woman.

There is no way to describe just how terrible their service is. They terrorize their customers. I’m afraid to walk in and get mail. And they are never open but charge outrageous fees. It’s a neighborhood joke how mean they are.

Really pathetic service and unreasonable prices. There is nothing neighborhoodly about this place.

Terrible, terrible people. I never feel it necessary to write reviews, but these people were so rude to me that I feel very compelled to contribute to any evidence that may take them out of business.
I was dealing with Denise at from Clinton Hill RE concerning an apartment that I wanted to view with my roommate. She started asking me a bunch of questions and eventually found out that we are students, after which she immediately changed her attitude towards me and explained that because of my lack of income, my roommate and I would be required to pay a semester’s rent up front instead of paying monthly like every other adult. She told me that guarantors mean nothing and that students can’t be trusted. This is absolutely discrimination and obviously something that I would never agree to.
Later on she called me back to say that the owner was willing to let us pay monthly if we were still interested in seeing the apartment. This was right off the bat fishy to me since she had said that was her company’s policy, not the owner’s, before, but I told her when we would be available and she said she would get back to me. After not hearing from her for several hours, I called back and asked again, since my roommate and I needed to move things around in our schedules in order to make time to see the place. She told me (all the while speaking in a very rude tone) that we needed to come to her office half an hour before I told her we were available. Since the office is 20 minutes in the opposite direction of where we needed to go, I told her no, we would meet her at the corner. She snapped at me that this wasn’t going to work and hung up.
So my mother (who 99% of the time forces me to act independently and does not engage herself in my affairs) called Denise and began to inquire as to why she gave me such a difficult time, and Denise immediately began to yell at her that I was not accommodating, that I was trying to tell her what to do, that I was irresponsible, and that I did not know what I was doing. None of these things are true at all, and I am amazed that any homeowner would even consider using these agents to find renters, seeing as she blatantly turned away 2 very viable candidates. Denise immediately made presumptions about my roommate and myself without ever meeting us or giving us any chance at all. She also attempted to manipulate me into believing that I can’t get an apartment because of my low income while in school even if I have a guarantor. She spoke down to me because of my status as a student and basically told me in many instances during our exchanges that I didn’t know what I was doing. As a very responsible, serious adult with much experience with apartment searching, I was very insulted and appalled that I was treated this way. She also hung up on my mother without letting her get a word in, which just further exhibits her awful service.
I would urge any homeowners to avoid this rental agency at all costs if you have any intentions of finding good tenants, and I would urge anyone searching for an apartment to stay away because you will be manipulated and spoken down to.

This place opens whatever time they feel like it. The sign today said «open @ 1pm». I went back at 1:30 and they were still closed. You can’t count on them! Additionally they are rude and overpriced. Most of the times I have gone in the person behind the desk has been on a call the entire time I was being helped, and clearly distracted. The unreliability, bad service and high prices completely negate the convenience of this place.

The fact that this place remains open defies all of the laws of good business practice, I just had the single most disappointing experience I’ve ever had in someone’s shop.
Waited 20 minutes at the door with about 3 other people, the owner left someone to sit in while she was away and he had no idea when she’d be back (she wouldn’t answer her cell phone). Customers gave up and left but she finally returns and instead of immediately assisting us she looks at paperwork, turns on her stereo and takes her sweet time while we stand waiting in shock.
All I want to do is mail a DVD locally but they only sell books of stamps and I never use them so I said I’ll just ship it FedEx, I’ll pay the flat rate fee because I just want to get the Hell out of there. Turns out it’s $ 9 plus $ 2 for a padded envelope. Fine. However, there’s a $ 15 minimum on credit cards so I finally give up and decide to go elsewhere.
But I already put my DVD in the envelope and sealed it and she’s asking me for $ 2!!! So I take my DVD out of her precious envelope and make for the door, but I can hear her saying, «don’t ever come back here again.» What? I ask her if she was serious and she repeated that sentence again multiple times as I told her how disgusted I was and that she doesn’t have to worry about it. There’s no way in Hell that I would ever return there again.
I’ve been in the neighborhood for over 10 years so I had to ask my friends if they ever had this experience and they unanimously told me to stay as far away as I can, which I will.
This is my first Unilocal review ever. I’ve had bad experiences before and wanted to write about them but why waste my time? However, I’ve never been so insulted and I had to let people know to stay away. Looks like everyone on this comment section agrees.

Do not ever use this place. Ever. I live around the corner and really believe in supporting local businesses so I have tried and tried and tried with them, but I’ve had it. They are rude, unhelpful, and extremely expensive. I finally started carrying my packages into Manhattan to send them from there.
But here’s the thing that finally broke me and convinced me NEVER EVER EVER to go back there: last Wednesday I needed to send some forms to my graduate school in Boston in order to graduate with my PhD. The forms were due on Friday. I meant to send them from Manhattan (see above) but forgot until I got home. So I go in to this store and tell them I want to send the envelope FedEx Ground, which I’ve done a million times from NYC to Boston. It takes one day and it’s cheap. The guy says «yeah, ok,» and I say, «Ground, right?» and he says «yeah, yeah.» But he’s in the middle of something and he doesn’t want to actually help me so he tells me I can leave it and he’ll do it. Obviously I should not have taken him up on this offer, but I did.
So the next day (Thursday) I submit my dissertation, start celebrating, and then realize I should check FedEx tracking to make sure my package got to Boston. So I do — and lo and behold, my package is in Memphis, TN, at FedEx headquarters, due to be delivered to Boston on Monday. What the hell? It’s supposed to be on a truck to Boston, not a plane to Memphis!
By now it’s 7:30pm on Thursday night, and if these forms don’t get to the registrar by Friday I can’t graduate. After spending 7 years in grad school and writing a 400-​page dissertation this stupid store is going to prevent me from graduating. I start formulating plans to drive to Boston the next morning to hand-​deliver the forms when it occurs to me to call FedEx. They tell me that the store sent the envelope Super Saver, whatever the hell that is, not Ground, and I ended up paying FedEx up the a** for them to find the envelope in their warehouse and get it on a plane to Boston the next morning.
Happy ending to the story, terrible store, don’t ever go here.
But I feel better now that I shared.

You wouldn’t think it would be possible to pack much unpleasantness into the simple task of dropping off an envelope, but this place will prove you wrong, again and again.
Their listed hours bear no discernible relationship to their actual hours. They charge exorbitantly for everything from the use of tape to the shipping of a package.
This store makes the post office (any post office) seem like a model of kindness and efficiency.

Unbelievably poor service. Rude staff. Sometimes they’re not even there during business hours. I just saw the USPS man leave in frustration, so no, he didn’t get to pick up the parcels supposed to go out that day. He said it happens all the time.
Avoid this store. They also have something like a 50% markup from USPS services, but claim its 10%.

HOW are they still in business?
And I used the term «business» extremely loosely.
I’ve had to go in a few times and it’s always the same routine…
ridiculous prices & the people act like they’re doing you a favor.
I’d rather just throw money out a window and berate myself.

This is the absolute worst mail/​shipping/​business center that I’ve ever been to. I’ve given this places many many chances only because it’s convenient to where I live. As well as the store looking as if a tornado just swept through, the man who works behind the counter is rude and condescending. This place is overpriced, completely disorganized and is often not open during the business hours that they’ve set! I think it’s well worth a farther walk to get courteous, reliable & inexpensive service from a company’s that not run by an a-​hole.
PS. I wasn’t able to pick up a package (due to work) until 6 days after it was delivered (CHBSC uses Kinek now for shipping accounts) to this business, and I was told by the man behind that counter that it was $ 5/add’l day for a «storage» rate. This is untrue. According to the Kinek website, It’s only $ 1/add’l day. Hmmm…

I have been HAVING (I have NO choice) to go to this place for a year. From time to time I find it funny to look up these reviews on Unilocal because EVERY time I go to this place I go crazy with how stupid the people who run it are and how incredibly poorly they run it.
Well, now I am actually compelled to write a review because they have really outdone themselves. Today I showed up at 4:15 to drop off a Fed Ex and found a sign that said «Be Back at 4.» Stupidly, I thought they might actually mean they’d be back soon; so I waited.
While I waited, I saw numerous people come and go all of them cursing these people for being such idiots. This included a UPS PERSON who said «these f — ing people.» He tried twice to deliver a package that I can only assume was going to some one who pays these people to sign for their packages. He ended up having to leave a slip! Can you imagine you pay them to run your mailbox and get your packages and they can’t even do that simple job!!!
Well, by 5pm, I decided to give up and just send my package the next day.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I go to this place it is a horrible experience. Please, dear reader, avoid it at ALL possible.

I’ve been here a few times to ship via UPS and had pretty good service. staff was friendly and gave me the various prices for shipping options so I could decide. I also got an email with the tracking info for hte package which helped.
I haven’t done much besides that but I would try them again — especially since they’re just down the street from me…
