Service was terrible! The intake process took insanely long. I waited over an hour before anyone realized that I hadn’t even turned in my insurance card or been processed. The representatives at the counter did not seem knowledgable about the medical exam that they offered in conjunction with the contact lens exam. I wonder if their push to have you get a medical exam is actually a scheme to get more money out of patients.

The staff at this Cohen’s Optical are A+. They are all very pleasant and friendly. I worked with Natalie and she was very patient and took her time to find frames that would work for me and Dr Lucy provided a thorough eye exam. There was no pressure to purchase additional services or upgrades which is the reason I left my last optometrist. My prescription was perfect and the glasses were ready for pick up within a week. Highly recommend this location.

This location has to be the friendliest Cohen’s that I have come across. They were very helpful to me and it has been a long time since i have had an eye exam so i was not sure where to really go. The environment is very comfortable as well and they always have such a wide selection of eye wear. Cant wait to see the great glasses:)

Great service ! First time here at this location. Service was great, my sunglasses were on time to pick up
Had to change ratings due to the fact that I came recently 4 my annual eye exam and the service SUCKs .,! They charge my insurance 4 my eye exam which I understand but they also change them 4 a pair of glasses that I didn’t get ., I always take my own pair. So why charge My insurance. Plus my glasses weren’t on time, and within two weeks the prices change without notice … When I ask they just said under new management. Very disappointed with the service ! Not returning once I pick up my sunglasses that are taking to long just to be darker… SMH !! …Jan /​2016 !

It was over a year since my last eye exam, and I was excited for new frames. Instead, I was nearly blinded by the optometrist. As she was preparing to conduct the pressure test, she noted that one of my eyes was dry and used the drops. I was fine until I felt a burning sensation in my eye from the machine that was used. I was very upset and unable to work for the remainder of the day contrary to the 15 minutes she indicated to me. I did not regain full use of my eye until the next morning. My frames were ready for pick-​up within a week, but I will not return to this location ever again.

My visit at Cohen Optical was great. I was helped by Talisa and Paula. They did a great job on helping me pick out my frames. I’ve been in other optical stores but it was nothing like Cohen Optical DownTown Bk. If there’s anyone that I know that need there eyes examined that’s one store I would tell them to go to. There other employee Aramis also helped me to make sure that the glasses fits right Great place to shop Would definitely shop there again thanx again for your help.

Just picked up my glasses this week and…
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would!!!
I never wore glasses before and after years of headaches I decided to get an eye exam, its a few blocks away so its convenient for me.
1st off, the ladies at the counter are so welcoming. They helped me figure out which insurance plan I had, being that I never even used it and explained all the bells and whistles about co-​pays and whatever. Then, the Dr. who examined me was a total sweet heart and finally, picking out glasses was a treat. The lady was so patient and helpful. I got a great pair of Tom Ford glasses that I am in love with!!!

Best place I ever went to, cozy environment huge selection of frames (not common for Cohens) and really helpful stuff. I was getting my no-​line bifocals for the first time, which worked out great!!!
