Everything in this place is made FRESH! The burgers were delicious and the french fries fantastic! Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’m addicted. Solid. Solid. Solid.

I’ve ordered from this place several times and loved it until I got sick twice. I ordered a steak caesar salad and thought the dressing tasted a little different. I should of stopped because I was up all night because of it. Me thinking that it wasn’t Colador and possibly something else, I foolishly ordered here again. This time I ordered a tiramisu, my favorite dessert until I bit into it and it was sour. I checked underneath it and found that there was mold growing. I am absolutely disgusted with this place and will never order here again. To make matters worst they refused to give me my money back.

Great food and nice beer selection, I always go for the java after my meal. Great burgers, fries and wings. And the quesadillas! Its a nice atmosphere, no frills and great customer service. This place is on my way home from work… Like I needed another incentive for the end of the workday to come…

The bar is run by two brothers who are both pretty chill. The food is good, but I usually only come here for some beer(good selection and prices) and some of those super crispy fries. It has a great atmosphere and is definitely a great part of the neighborhood.

The Portobello Panini is CRACK! They are giving you coffee & bagels café, quick delivery and cozy local dinner all in one spot. Staff is regular AF and down to earth. The art on the walls is dope! The bathroom is clean and decorated AF! I repeat the portobello panini is addictive. You’ve been warned!

Great little neighborhood spot… Friendly… Good food… Good beer selection… Sweet potato fries are yum… I ordered a Vietnamese chicken wrap to go & when I got home it was a Caesar chicken wrap — sigh. But I’ll try again for that Vietnamese wrap!

I love this place. The food is so good. I went with my mum. I think the owner had family over and it was really noisy but they were super nice and funny. Me and mum had the turkey burger with Swiss and bacon and sweet potato fries. It was soooo good. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The atmosphere is very chill and it was yummy. I enjoyed it.

This place is really on point — everything I’ve had is so good — their steak, their chicken, their pork. I strongly believe that restaurants can be measured by the quality of their meat alone, and these guys have excellent meat, y’all. My only complaint is that they seriously sell the tiniest(and most expensive per surface area) empanada I’ve ever had. I’m from Miami, the land of empanadas, and I grew up on Cuban, Venezuelan, Argentinian, Colombian and Mexican empanadas from both high-end restaurants and mom ‘n pop places; I never let an empanada pass me by, and this one was just comically small. Like, clown car levels of absurdly small. In Miami, a city with a similar cost of living to New York, you can get an empanada twice the size for about $ 1.50. Colador Café’s emapanda was fine, don’t get me wrong, but it was nothing special for the price and certainly not the size. I won’t be ordering the empanadas again — there are lots of authentic Mexican places nearby with real-deal, momma-made empanadas for less — but I will be back for their killer sandwiches.

This place definitely deserves a stellar review, to pick up the slack for all the low-starring goons, without much merit to back the negative review. Ugh, you guys are the worst. This is an unpretentious café, avoiding the hipster staff and décor overload, plaguing so many spots throughout Brooklyn. Food is solid, mostly hearty sandwiches and the like. I had a chicken salad sammie with some fries recently, and the chicky salad was some of the best I’ve ever had, fo’ real. Fresh, giant bagels. Check. Prosecco on tap. Check mate. Yummy, heady beer selection. Checkity check check. Chill, friendly, diverse waitstaff to chat with. Checkers. French fries with special dippy sauce. Hells yeah. Oh check. Wait for a spot to eat on the weekend. No siree, Bob. I have spent too much time, energy, and money on ‘hot brunch spots’ around NYC, and places like Colador have saved me from that agony. Hope it’s in Bedstuy for the long haul!

I think the food here is really solid. Their steak sandwich and breakfast sandwiches are delicious. I get their bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant a lot. The coffee is good as well, and it comes in good sized cups. The only thing is that it is a tad pricey. I’d rather just get the same thing from a bodega. I don’t really love the atmosphere here so I don’t ever sit and eat inside. However, I do see people working on their laptops and such, so it must just not be for me. I just don’t really like having tvs everywhere.

Everything was excellent for group brunch! I ate slowly, so I could savor my food. The bottomless drink selections were tropical and really delicious.

I ordered an egg and cheese on a bagel. They made the eggs and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel. Why? Why would you do that to a hungry person?

Not a bad café con leche. I liked that the look was pretty rustic, even by hipster standards, and yet came off as clean and nice.

I had a business meeting here this morning and it was the perfect place. It wasn’t over crowded and the prices were decent. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a smoothie and I’m happy they offered the option of having a smoothie since I can’t drink coffee. Staff was friendly and not overbearing, which was welcoming. I also like that i actually had elbow room. Some of these cafes you take a step back and your sitting at someone else’s table. Easy to get to a spacious My type of place :)

Great coffee! Empanadas… delicious. Low key vibe. You can come read a book. ipad…have a convo with a friend and a glass of wine. If you aren’t into that then sit there and watch the games that are on the flat sceens. Good music. Not loud at all. Homey like feel.

Seriously some of the best fries I have ever had in my life! I’ve only dined in about 3 times but I live pretty close by and do delivery all the time. Its at a great price point at about $ 10 for a burger and(really good) fries. Delivery always comes sooner than expected.

They have pumpkin spice now! Also the service has greatly improved and man oh man are the entrees cheap and great. The best time to check this place out is in the morning, afternoon and early evening. Try their smoothies too, they’re so tasty and fresh.

This place is straight up lame. Came here randomly because I just ended up in the neighborhood, decided to watch some football. They play TERRIBLE pop music here. I heard«call me maybe» at one point. Their wings are breaded and have no sauce on them. Overpriced menu. I can see how it might be an ok brunch place so I’ll not give it a 1 star just to give them the benefit of the doubt. But they’ve got no style or vibe and the staff is just kinda rude and uninterested. Now that cheerleader song is on. Very tempted to give this place a one star review just for that.

I’ll make this brief: 1.) Smug, nonchalant management(his egoism is stifling). 2.) Menu needs revising as so many items are on the menu but never actually available or have been eliminated from menu, though it is still printed(ie. baked clams). 3.) Kitchen is negligent, repeatedly forgets items requested in order and makes substitutions without asking. 4.) Overpriced wine list. 5.) Lacking ambience– music is always too loud to converse/hear. 6.) Always makes me regret wasting the time, energy and money there vs going to the grocery store directly across the street… Atleast I know what comes out of my own kitchen is über-quality! 7.) Their pasta dishes are suicide inducing. You’ve been warned.

Not usually one to give a bad review but this was rough. They were out of tons of items, what we did order came out wrong and rather than correct it, they just admitted it was wrong and left it the same way, and the one item that came out right was so bad we sent it back(something that I truly never do). I honestly feel bad posting this but Colador Café just messed up every step of the way.

This was technically my first taste of NY! Certainly not a mind-blowing experience by any means, but it was a decent little coffee shop we encountered while strolling through Brooklyn. The coffee was strong, the service was decent and, the best part? The bagel sandwiches, especially the smoked salmon on an everything bagel with fresh tomato, red onion and cream cheese, were dynamite. Who doesn’t love a good bagel sandwich?

Did someone say 2 dollar Tecate? I shudder in regret thinking of all the times I’ve walked past Colador without stopping in, unaware of the amazing(rotating) lineup of beers they have on tap hidden just inside their colorfully painted walls. To be fair though I always assumed it was a café, more suited to bagels and americanos than to homemade empanadas and Longtrail Ale. Man was I wrong. Walking in, you will find what to the unaided eye looks much more like a craft coffee shop than Spanish food mecca/craft beer hangout. Don’t let this fool you, grab a seat at the bar and order up a plate of chips and salsa and whatever the beer of the week is. Wait what’s this beer of the week thing I’m going on about? So every week the fine folks at Colador select a brew on tap and offer it up for $ 4 a pint, not a bad deal if you ask me. If you’re not digging what they chose for the beer of the week when you go, fret not, their normal price is still a bargain at 6 $ for most other drafts(and they always have 4 $ Tecate cans, except on a Sunday when they drop them to 2 $ a can). Moving on to the food; the homemade salsa is absolutely worth mentioning again, aside from that I’ve had the beef empanadas(2 $ each, very tasty), and the burger. The burger was good, 10 $ +1.50 for cheese and bacon and it came with a can of beer(one guess which type). The ambiance is the only thing that is a bit strange to me, in that it really is trying to be both a coffee shop and bar(plus kitchen) at the same time. I mean other places in the world do this(most cafes in Paris serve coffee in the morning and beer at night), but they make a distinction in the atmosphere depending on what time of day it is. Not so much at Colador, they do it everything all the time(minus a bagel, they stop serving them at 3PM). Still it’s the uniqueness of places like that that make them fun, so more power to you Colador, thanks for the amazing beer and salsa. A spot that is sure to get more and more popular as people find out about it, this place is absolutely worth checking out(maybe on a Sunday when they are dishing out those 2 dollar Tecates… just sain’)

Colador has been…“improvising” and it’s pushing me away. First of all, their list of muffins on delivery sites aren’t always accurate. They have a «blueberry crumb» muffin on there. My first time ordering the muffin, I got an actual blueberry crumb muffin. Every time after that was pretty disappointing. They’ve just been regular blueberry muffins. I don’t know about you but I like getting exactly what is listed /what I’m paying for. Maybe they have both kinds of muffins and give regular blueberry when blueberry crumb runs out or something but what’s the point of advertising bbc if isn’t bbc? And today, I ordered a small smoothie. Got it in a tiny version of the clear cups with a lid that you get for iced coffee from bodegas or delis. It literally looks like a kid’s sized drink. Last time I ordered a small smoothie it came in a styrofoam cup bigger than this. This tiny thing I got is NOT worth $ 4. I can never tell with this place what I’m going to get lately. I remember I added a muffin to an order once after noon and I got a call saying that they had no muffins left because the morning crowd usually buys them up. Well order some more damn muffins. That has taught me to order before noon. They might run out of muffins around noon, but how do you run out of styrofoam cups too?! Geez. On my previous order, I wanted a banana chip muffin and a cinnamon muffin. What came in my delivery was a cranberry muffin and a banana walnut muffin. So I chatted with my delivery medium, Eat 24 and made them aware that BOTH muffins I ordered were wrong. She informed me that they said they didn’t have the two muffins that I wanted so they just gave me what they had??? So you as a manager made the decision that you wouldn’t call the customer asking if they wanted a replacement. And to avoid giving a refund, you would instead give two of the wrong muffins and cross your fingers that the customer doesn’t notice or doesn’t care enough to complain. Great thinking! Anyways, the Eat24 rep said the manager refused to refund me for both of the muffins. Shortly after that, she said she was able to get the manager to refund them both. The thing that boggles my mind about this situation is that whenever they haven’t have the muffin or danish that I’ve wanted in the past, they’ve ALWAYS called me to let me know and I’ve ALWAYS gotten a replacement and not a refund. Not sure what made that time so different. Maybe they got lazy. But getting lazy will surely get you no more business from me if these things are consistent. Don’t refuse to fix the mistake that YOU made. I’ve seen another person on here say that they weren’t going to refund an order that WASNEVERDELIVERED. If you take anything from this updated review, order your breakfast related items before 11:30AM. Expect a loose description of the muffins. Expect the $ 4 you spent on muffins to be a drastic burden to be refunded. This place has great food but the service has been pretty shotty lately.

I ordered the veggie burger from here for delivery. It arrived an hour later, there was no onions in there even though their menu on here states that it comes with lettuce tomatoes and onions. And the bun was so burnt I couldn’t eat it. Had to just eat the fries. Now I’m at work and still hungry. Thanks Colador!

I love this little coffee shop, for a few reasons: 1. Excellent delivery. Their menu has a great selection of sandwiches, burgers & fries(LOVE they turkey burger), salads, etc. More often than not, if I’m ordering dinner in, it’s from Colador. And it arrives quickly and hot… ok, I live a block away, but this is still a huge plus in my book. 2. COFFEE. Colador is the best coffee option in the neighborhood, and I love the idea of stopping for my morning joe at a small business rather than a Starbucks or DD. Conveniently located near the subway means that I can caffeinate on my way to work — score! 3. They take credit cards! This may seem trivial, but with so many cash-only businesses in Bed-Stuy, it’s nice to know I can get my hangover bacon egg and cheese sandwich without having to first stop at an ATM — it’s the little things. PROTIP: you can’t tip on the card! So do try to keep a few extra bills in your wallet for the good people working at Colador. 4. The staff. They are SO nice. I think the gent who is always there when I go is named Peter, and he is as sweet as they come. 5. Beer! Colador goes from day to night with an awesome selection of beers. They basically have everything I need in life.
