Best gelato place in the area. The pistachio and cappuccino were very rich, creamy and affordable at 2 scoops for around $ 5.

I am not even ashamed to say I’ve been here twice in two weeks.
We first stopped in when an ice cream craving hit my husband during a family trip to Coney Island.
WOW. We were instantly impressed, right down to my 12 year old discerning eater if a stepson.
Some of the best Gelato I have ever had, and a great selection of flavors. On teh first occasion, I had mascarpone and raspberry. The second time I had cinnamon.
We were just at Coney Island last night again on a double date with my husband’s brother and sister in law. We just HAD to stop in for more goodness!
Creamy, rich, velvetty goodness! The flavor is just enough to not be overpowering. It is perfect. You can definitely tell it is all homemade, and it definitely hits the spot.
My husband and I had it on our brains for literally DAYS after we first tried it.
Do yourself a favor and get down there for some of the best frozen treats of your life…

Luna Park is like a carnival by the Broad Walk. I love coming out to Coney Island because it reminds me of that old New York City charm. Not modern or hipsterish, just a raggedy carnival without the bells and whistles.
As soon as you exit Luna Park you’ll find Coney Cones right on the board walk. There might be a kind but they are quick. I’m not a huge fan of gelato because it melts too fast but I had to give it a try.
It’s only 90 degrees outside and NYC is humid as hell, got to get something to cool you down right? Well I had the double scoop pistachio and some other flavor I forgot lol but it was really good. Only thing if melted fast. At least with ice cream the consistency allows you to eat slit toe but before it darts melting but not gelato. It’s melting from the second it comes in your hand.
Gelato was good but I rather have ice cream. They also serve good slushy drinks and they are really good! Not your genetic ⁷⁄₁₁ type slushy but some real good ish.
Prices are fair as well. I was expecting to pay outrageous prices because that’s what everyone popular does these days but not the case here. Anyways if your in the area, go give it a try and I hope you like it!

There are lots of unique favors. From Milano cookie to Dolce de Leche. I was in the mood for sweet and tart so I went with Milano cookie and mango. I enjoyed them both very much. My mom had the strawberry and she loved hers too.

When it’s disgustingly hot and sweaty, and you are unable to keep grimy, oblivious and/​or obese folk from rubbing their semi-​naked bodies against you as you wander down the boardwalk, gelato will help.
Rich, creamy, perfect gelato.
It may cost too much, and somehow the shop is hotter than being in the sun outside, but this is the sort of gelato that can keep you from getting stabby.

Definitely one of my favorite spots to go to after a day (or even just a couple of hours) at the beach!
I’ve had their ice cream before — which is solid and creamy. It hits the spot if you’re having an ice cream craving.
On a really hot day, go for their granitas! They’re basically Italian idea in a slushee form. I opted for the Rainbow granita, which was cherry, lemonade and blue Hawaii. They offer sour apple (green) as well. Customer service wise? Nothing special but they were friendly enough and were quick to serve the long line of people.

Touristy and overrated but a classic nonetheless.
Of all the ice cream stops around Luna Park and the boardwalk, Coney’s Cones is your best option. The ice cream flavors are simple and non-​adventurous but, hey, it’s ice cream on the boardwalk. What more can you ask for?

Among all the other spots selling ice cream on the boardwalk, this one really stood out. The place was packed, so I felt a little rushed when deciding what flavor to get. I ended up getting one scoop of cinnamon and one scoop of lemon. I know the two flavors do not really mix well, but both were absolutely delicious and very refreshing on a hot day! The prices were a bit expensive, but that is to be expected due to the location and you do get a decent amount of ice cream.
Skip the generic soft-​serve and head over to this place if you are looking for some good ice cream!

Ridiculous! You order at the register and pay and then get your ice cream. But there was a group of people who hadn’t paid but we’re sampling flavors. We had already paid and I was showing my ticket to get my purchase. The guy behind the counter says to wait because that group’s friend was paying now. Ok so I already paid but because they are all standing there and there friend was paying after me they should get served first. Makes no sense. The system they have sucks and on top of it the guy behind the counter gives me attitude because I just want my ice cream that I already paid for but I’m being rude because they are standing there. Awful way to run an ice cream shop. Never going back there.

Great ice cream. Really well made. Off the chart flavorful. Prices could be better yea sure but damn good ice cream I tell yuh.

As of March 15, 2015, Coney Cones is under new management. Valerio Ferrari of Luna Parks decided he wanted his friend from Italy to have a wonderful business. He approached the owners of Coneys Cones with an offer they literally could not refuse. In March the business was turned over to Luna Park for a fair price. Luna Park now owns Conys Cones. Valerio’s friend now manages and makes all the Ice Cream, well not exactly, He now produces Gelato. Gelato has less fat in the cream and is churned slowly so as not to have much air. His gelato tastes great with very rich flavors and a silky texture. That said He charges $ 4 plus tax for a Kiddie portion cone. The pictures you saw year for a single are bigger than the double this year. Is the Gelato that much better as to warrant a premium price on Coney Island. Do the folks that come to Coney Island really want Gelato. A big fat Ice Cream cone called «Bear Turds» is as American as it gets. Although I love his flavors, I am not in love with the price. His friend proudly told me that the only good ice cream comes from Italy… We shall see… There are many other offerings in Brooklyn with the same or better quality with much more value. In the end we wish Valerio and his friend great success for their success is our success. I just wish the gelato master realized where his Ice Cream Parlor was and create an amazing product for our community that we can afford.
I am giving this 3 stars because he has truly created amazing flavors. That said I would have given this whole thing one star if I considered how Valerio manipulated the original owner out.

Really delicious dulce de leche ice cream! And given how hard it is to find a good ice cream place amidst a dozen froyo and mister softee places, is a real treat!

Home made ice cream in the boardwalk of Coney Island.
We walked in the line was long but it went fast. You order first and you wait to they call your number to get your order. We tried the cookie monster and the mint ice cream. Both were creamy and full of flavor. I tried the lemon and watermelon ice. They both tasted good. The place is small and staff is friendly and quick!

Undeterred by the long line that snaked out onto the boardwalk, we patiently waited our turn. The line moved really fast. They’re pretty efficient.
A classic coffee ice cream flavor didn’t disappoint. Rich and creamy. I can’t wait to try the Bacardi raisin next time.
Other unique-​sounding flavors include bacon ice cream and dragon breath ice cream.

Hot day on the beach = ice cream on a cone. Finish it fast though because it WILL melt immediately.
$ 4 vanilla scoop on a waffle cone. A generous scoop of the classic, but started melting 2 minutes into the sun. Appreciate the creaminess of it all but maybe better if you ate it inside.
$ 5.50 ice cream cookie sandwich — white and dark chocolate cookies with cookie monster ice cream in the middle. Soft on the outside and creamy on the inside. After a few bites, probably needed a fork and knife to finish… tasty though.
I’d say above average ice cream, but nothing really that stands out. Feel like this area could use hard-​shell coatings like Big Gay Ice Cream.

I’ve stopped into Coney’s Cones several times with different friends who ordered shakes and ice cream and they all like it just fine. Usually I just hang out while they enjoy their treat, but today there was a vegan item: «Brooklyn Dark» chocolate bars in 4 flavors. I tried the Moroccan Spice… delicious!

Homemade ice cream made in small batches, on premises. Dropped by for some ice cream while husband and daughter were busy enjoying the rides in Luna Park. Small little joint right on the broad walk with a great view! Maybe it’s not Summer yet so they didn’t have a lot of their flavors. On today’s visit, I did a double scoop in a cup for $ 6, a scoop of their Cookie Monster and today’s special Passion Fruit. Will be back to try all the flavors!

Just an average ice cream shop who apparently make their own ice cream… I’m a doubter but whatever.
Their sorbets are really good and the strawberry/​mango flavors are the bomb. I tried the bipolar bear and the Geoorgia bear turds which were both solid but way too sweet.
The service was okay and everything was very average…

Solid ice cream… they have a decent selection of flavors… the ice cream is rich without being too heavy…
$ 7 is a bit steep for 2 scoops in a waffle… but I was craving ice cream and couldn’t decide on one flavor…
A guy in front of me also got a double in a waffle cone, and for the second scoop the server gave him like a third of a scoop, he was like «seriously?» and handed it back to her… she nervously laughed and added more…
the person that helped me gave me an average amount…
I supppose what you get depends on who’s helping you…
The line is typically out the door, but moves fast… the con to this is that once you’re inside, you can only look at the menu for a second (and you don’t get to see the ice cream up fornt), you place your order & pay for it, then move down where the ice cream is and a server gives you your order.
