Creative Arts Studio

I cannot say enough good things about creative arts. My daughter has been taking classes and attending summer camp for almost 3 years and we will not go anywhere else.
The staff is amazing. Sherri the owner truly loves her staff and the kids. This is also comes through in her employees — all of the teachers and counselors love the kids and their jobs. I have never found a place that treats kid with such respect and still is so much fun for the kids. These people love their jobs and it makes the best environment. Highly recommend!

Creative Arts Studio offers classes to children, young people and adults in Boerum Hill, Carroll Gardens and the neighborhoods surrounding them. The teachers are amazing– fun and at the top of their game. Whether your child is interested in ballet, tap, modern, hip-​hop dance classes or drama and creative writing classes, their experience here will shape a long appreciation for the arts.
The owner, the lovely Sherri Hellman, sustains relationships with other local business owners, enhancing her relationship with the community and her program offering. Both studio spaces are beautiful and well kept. CAS also hosts holiday events, including the highly anticipated annual Holiday Dance Party, and of course an end of the academic year performance celebration at Brooklyn Museum.
CAS is one of a kind and the Brooklyn community is fortunate to have this resource right on Atlantic Ave! I may be biased because about five years ago I worked alongside Sherri, who empowered me to launch my own filmmaking program for young adults, and call her studio my home as I ran my first classes there. She is a thoughtful, caring and generous leader.
Don’t hesitate, make the visit. Bring your kids. They will love it.

Amazing. The space is gorgeous, the instructors are top notch, and the lessons are the highlight of my week. My girlfriend and I have been taking lessons here, and we couldn’t be happier. They have another studio in Carrol Gardens.
