What is there not to love about Coluccio? Nothing! From the amazing staff treating you like family to the fresh italian products I have been coming here for years after being introduced to it by two old school Italian grandparents. Growing up in Brooklyn, fellow Brooklynites know how hard it is to find that good quality Italian speciality store that was once in abundance in the Bensonhurst area. I come here mostly for a few products there cheese selection is out of this world. My favorite is the Parmigiano-Reggiano that can come cut as a block of cheese or they will grate it in front of you. It’s out of this world, delivering freshness and taste. They have a huge selection of everything from fresh pitted olives to imported pasta. The fresh ricotta that they get delivered from the farm is by far the closest thing to Italy’s ricotta I’ve had. The only thing to be mindful of is it goes bad in four days approximately because when I say it’s fresh, it’s fresh. If your looking for a speciality store that delivers so many imported products and has an amazing staff with reasonable prices this is the place to go. Run by Italians, selling Italian products, you can’t go wrong. Cash/credit accepted. The only warning I give you is beware your going to want to spend a lot of money!

Used to shop at Coluccio’s when he was on 59th st. Now, I drive an hour to Brooklyn just to shop there. What a great shop! Nice selection, and they even keep a selection of «old school» items that Grandma used to use!

It’s not obvious that it would be hard to find crusty bread in Bay Ridge, but it is. So, oddly, this is the best place around here for crusty bread. Delicious.

Hey Everybody, I knew the original owner, Dom, God Rest, from the early ‘70s right down to his son Louie at present. Still the best of everything and inexpensive as he is a direct importer. You can buy a pound of cheese right up to a wheel and go home with a smile on your face!!!

I came here because someone born and raised in Italy recommended it, and I stayed for the wide selection of pasta beyond Ronzini and Barilla and their generous cuts of cured Italian meat. They also have what looks like a large selection of fresh Italian cheese and other imported goods, Without a specific need for certain ingredients, I haven’t given the rest of the store a thorough scan so I can’t comment about the rest of it, but this quiet specialty shop is a nice little secret to have when a culinary need calls for it, and it’s as authentic as it comes… said the Chinese American, meaning I have no idea. But the pasta and meat are good.

I love special stores like this! Being Italian and finding so many items that are not in the common market, thrills me! I needed some specific and special cheeses for some recipes and I could not find in regular store or other Italian stores. When I found them here I wanted to do a happy dance! I have a feeling each time I return I’ll find new treasures!

They import from Italy, not a huge variety but very good stuff, especially pasta, coffee, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce w/o additives, and prepared foods. Homemade cheeses are good. Most of all, as wholesalers, their prices are great! Ask for Mario. He’s a warm wonderful person.

This place brings you back to Italy. The Italian selection of cookies, crackers, pasta, baking goods, etc., is all there. Things you can not find anywhere else. Their cheese and dried sausage is fantastic and they have the best olives I ever had. I have been a customer for years. They never lost once ounce of top quality. I moved to Long Island and still male a trip or have my kids stop on their way to visit. If you are Italian and you are in Brooklyn, this is a must visit. The customer service is also top notch. Don’t miss out.

I’d give it 3.5 stars if possible, but I’ll go with 4.(I was tempted to give it 3, to balance all the over-the-top reviews, but figured that wouldn’t really be fair.). After reading so many wildly enthusiastic, rave reviews, I was expecting a huge store stocked with a really wide variety of products. Instead, I was nonplussed to find an almost tiny store with a fairly limited selection. It was a nice store and the staff were friendly and helpful; they certainly had things you won’t find at places like — God forbid — Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, but that’s not saying much. Although born & raised in NYC, I’ve somehow never made it up to Arthur Ave, but compared to other Italian specialty deli/markets that aren’t that far away, like DiPalo’s, and Buon Italia in the Chelsea Market(Manhattan), it was nothing to write home about. Prices were good, but no better than those 2 stores. I won’t directly compare it to Eataly, which I consider sort of its own«thing» and more an interesting showplace to browse than to actually shop on a regular basis. But on the other hand, Eataly has a much broader, albeit much more expensive, selection of «modern» Italian imports

Great, local specialty shop, like Eataly for 1⁄3 of the price. They have various Italian brands of olive oil, crackers, jams, chocolates, baking extracts, flours, pasta and coffee. They also have a fresh food section with sides like grilled asparagus, eggplant, olives, meats and cheese. And my favorite, fresh baked bread!

Amazing customer service! This is the first time I ever ordered from them and most definitely won’t be the last. I wanted to send a sympathy basket to a friend. I was traveling and called Coluccio and Sons. Dominic went out of his way to send me pictures of what was available. I picked one and it was delivered that same day(within a matter of hours). The family couldn’t get over the basket! You don’t see service that this too often!

Cool Italian deli in Brooklyn! Got my dried hot peppers here. I ordered a case and of course came out with another $ 100 worth of delicious Italian goodies! Fresh provolone, meats… you get the idea.

No deli slicer. All packaged meats. Walk in and the place smells awful. Same owner of A.L.C Italian Grocery, which is a much better Italian Grocery store. Go there.

They are a wholesale/retail store that has been around for years. They carry many imported items that you normally couldn’t find elsewhere. Some stuff is an okay price, some stuff pricey. They have added more shelves over the years, but not as crowded as I remember, when I was younger. It’s good to see familiar faces still working there. Parking can be annoying, but good to get some goodies every now and again.

This place is simply amazing! A friend of mine who lives in Brooklyn brought me there and for me, an Italian who lives in Italy, was like being in a movie. It has been a jump back to the past. I’ve seen products that I didn’t see since my childhood, I thought they were extinct but no!!! Anyway they display so many good italian products. A huge selection of pasta with some of the best brands such as Garofalo and many artisanal pasta. The flours section is very interesting: you can find all kind of flour you need! Many beans including cicerchia and other«hard to find»(even in Italy!) beans. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have also many organic products by some good and reliable brands such as Alce Nero and La Terra e il Cielo. Real capers from Pantelleria(the best!) in salt. At the counter you can find a great array of cheese. Good choice of olives, sun dried tomatoes, calabrese mushrooms in oil and much more: everything is delicious! I can’t say anything about the prosciutto because I don’t eat meat. The staff is friendly and it was nice to hear them talking in brooklynese Italian :) This shop definitely worth a visit.

Let’s just be clear about a few things. This place has nothing to do with a certain shiny pated producer/judge of Top Chef. In fact, this place has been here so long that it’s seemingly the only Italian merchant still left in a rapidly Asiantrified hood. Nor is this they type of place where you are going to get served a sandwich. Or a bowl of pasta with sauce. Or pizza. It’s not a corner deli. Or Eataly. More gritty and warehouse-like. There is a deli counter, but it’s the type of place you walk up and order 6 pounds of Pecorino Romano or a gallon of peppers stuffed with anchovies. Bulk central, if you please. Their forte is importing product, not making it on site. Therefore if you want hand made fresh pasta, go elsewhere. But if you want a rare noodle made by a certain company in Venice these guys might have it. They also have all manner of sauces, canned and jarred items, cured meats, oils at really good prices. I picked up a bottle of the most expensive balsamic offered, aged 15 years, for $ 20 less than the same product via online stores. If you like Italian food it’s well worth a visit, if for no better reason that it’s part of Brooklyn’s past, present and hopefully future.

This place is really amazing. They are the importers, so you are cutting out the middleman by coming here. They have an awesome selection of the freshest Italian cheeses that you can have cut to your specifications. They carry Italian cheeses I have never heard of plus all the usuals… Coluccio has Imported Italian groceries, cookies, oils, vinegars, sauce and pastas. They also have some meats but they do not slice items like prosciutto… they will give it to you as a hunk. Also a great selection of olives and other antipasti items. The best Italian store around!
