Did funny cartoon pics at my sons first birthday and were a complete hit. I would highly recommend, fun and unique keepsake for guests.

I went to a wedding that Boris was doing portraits and it was such a fun time! Basically, you go and sit (you sometimes have to sign up because lots of other people want their portraits done too) and he will draw your likeness in about 10 minutes. He gives you the option of having a caricature or something more serious/​realistic (I chose caricature) and it’s done with this very pretty light-​colored markers. The final product is beautiful and yours to keep. You can have a wedding or other event and get a photo booth but really, how many more photo booths photos can you have on your fridge? This is 1000% better and more fun. It’s truly the most unique party favor I’ve ever gotten.

Boris did my «save the dates» and I could not be more thrilled with the results!!! From the beginning, Boris was patient, listened carefully to my every thought, and never hesitated to make sure I was as happy as possible with the result. After I finally finalized the image, Boris mailed me samples, over and over again, with different paper stock, matte/​gloss, until I felt the product was perfect. Again, I can not stress enough how patient he was with me! As for his talent — AMAZING! So many people have contacted me just to let me know how great they thought the «save the date» was! I wanted a rustic/​cutesy image, and Boris delivered. He is supremely talented, and all around nice guy. I’d recommend him to anyone for any kind of art/​graphic work needed!

Boris made my son’s wedding unique and personal. From the «Save the Dates» which I framed and hung in my dining room to the invitations to the table markers and place cards, I have never seen anything like it. My son and daughter-​in-​law met in Bologna, Italy and Boris made place cards of locations in Bologna that were a work of art. Name cards matched. He also created caricatures at the wedding which everyone enjoyed. People went home with so many keepsakes. When I get ordinary invitations in the mail, I am reminded how special Boris’s work is. Boris designed a beautiful customized save-​the-​date for our wedding. We gave him a few ideas, he came back quickly with some sample designs, and we picked the one we liked best. He was very receptive to our feedback as well as very attuned to our aesthetics — without us having to explain much it felt like he «got» what we were going for and designed exactly what we were looking for. Our guests all loved the save-​the-​dates. Highly recommended!

We worked with Boris on the invitations for our upcoming wedding in June 2014. Prior to contacting Boris we had planned on sending e-​save the dates and invitations as we didn’t feel the expense would add much value to our wedding. Well…
Flash forward a few months later to when we found Boris. After brainstorming some ideas (all by skype/​email as we live on the other side of the country) he worked with us to develop some non-​traditional designs we wanted (succulents, the two of us sharing a bowl of spaghetti, a menu-​style invite), and was able to transform them into something really special and elegant that set the tone for the event.
Friends and family have continued to comment on how much they enjoyed receiving our unique stationary in the mail. After we sent them out we received calls and text messages from so many people who told «usually we throw invites in the recycling bin, but not these» and «we loved your save the date, we didn’t think the invites could top it, but they did!» It was wonderful to feel like we had not only invested in something special for our wedding, but that those who received it found it meaningful as well.
In addition to creating what is truly a work of art that we felt good about sharing with our friends and family, more importantly the invites and save the dates he created really helped set the tone for our wedding. I know that this would not have happened without Boris. I would not be surprised if some of our family members had decided to attend based off of the uniqueness of the invites alone!
The fact that our invitations could stand for themselves is truly something special that I have not seen in many other people’s weddings. We actually loved one of the designs he created for us so much that we’re blowing it up into a poster on our wall — and this is coming from a couple that didn’t think wedding invites were worth it and regularly recycles the ones sent to us. I would recommend Boris to any bride and groom looking for something uniquely them.
Boris was easy to work with, responsive, and very attentive to our non-​traditional ideas. We worked with him when living across the country (we’re in SF, he’s in NYC) and he was more than willing to coordinate with our local printer. I’m very pleased with this vendor and hope other brides and those planning special events will consider Drawn Together NYC!
