Delivered damaged stove and keep rescheduling service appts to fix it and don’t want to take it back

Good prices — they matched or beat the best online prices I was able to find for all of the appliances I was looking for! — and service — they sourced the models# of the items I had researched & found on my own, and for the rest, they made recommendations that exactly fit my (admittedly many and difficult) requirements and turned out in my subsequent research to be well reviewed.
I appreciated that my sales person DID NOT necessarily try to steer me toward the most expensive things — in at least one case he talked me OUT of a more expensive item because users have complained about it! I appreciate this kind of honesty.
He also threw in several perks — I don’t want to say what they are, because I don’t want to get him in trouble with the management for having done something nice for me. For this same reason I was not more specific above, but feel free to message me for details.
They did make me feel a bit rushed in every interaction I have had. But I’ll take that for the convenience and savings and otherwise good service.

Drimmers is the place to go to or call. They have all the top brands. I’ve never visited them, but have twice purchased high end appliances from them. What’s good about Drimmers is they take responsibility for problems that come up and don’t leave you hanging. Nothing ever goes 100% according to plan and its comforting to know that when you spend top $$$ for an appliance they value the relationship.

I can’t find the listing for Drimmers NJ but I am fairly certain this is the same company. I found Aaron who happens to be the most patient person on the planet. I was in the middle of a gut reno and trying to decide on appliances. He spent a lot of time with me and helped me think through my choices and I am very happy with what I selected. Delivery while he was out was a bit of a nightmare because it was the Pope’s visit and the Jewish holidays. He acknowledged it without me mentioning it and made it up to me. Good guy.

do not ever use this company! you will be tempted because they have very good pricing, but absolutely no customer service. after much research we selected them for our appliance purchase of nearly $ 20,000.00…the delivery company refused to bring our sub zero intothe house, it cost us an additional $ 300.00 to get it inside. after many attemps to reach out to our sales person, i am writing this review so others will not be ripped off as we were.

Worst customer service. Ever. I can’t even begin to chronicle the details of our horrible experience with this company. Think of a Three Stooges episode and that’s not even close to the lunacy and ineptness we experienced trying to get a simple appliance from this place — two months after we paid for it in full. Multiple no-​shows on scheduled deliveries without explanation. They even closed early one day after they confirmed an afternoon delivery. Thanks, another wasted day. One hand doesn’t know what the other is doing from the office, sales, warehouse to the trucking guys. Is there ANY management paying attention? I don’t know how a place like this stays in business. We pulled our order and won’t be back. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere.

Sorry to begin this beautiful month of August with a bad review… but I have to :(.
I had been a customer of A&B Drimmer’s AKA A&B, formerly A&B …AKA Drimmer’s for years… their service was usually excellent and they had decently low prices and were competitive to the large chains… my family purchased several air conditioners here as well as two Malber washer/​dryer combo units … and a full size Maytag pair… countless small electrics… Drimmers was a great independent choice to Best Buy or PC.
I was there yesterday looking for a Malber all in one unit for my mom (as it’s getting harder for her to access the basement and the Malber All In One easily fits in the kitchen.
My one star review is not due to the Malber being discontinued (sadly the company went out of business which is not Drimmer’s fault) My issue is I know when I am being «blown off» by the salesperson.
I was waiting when other customers being served — a landlady looking for a cheap but efficient washer for her tenant wanted «to think» … so the salesman asked if I needed help… and I asked about the Malber or other small 24×24 washer-​dryer combo units… at that point the sales person looked disgusted and was very curt and brief telling me they only sold one type… an LG that at nearly 26 inches was not so portable… You sort of know when you are being given the brush off … the sales man clearly bonded with the landlady (perhaps higher mark up on the cheap washer she was looking to buy.) I also assisted the land-​lady (no charge for my salesmanship) by extoilling the virtues of front loaders over top loaders… which the woman appreciated… but I really didn’t appreciate being blown off so quickly… the salesman didn’t even try to make a sale (which I was sort of open to) on the LG all in one unit… it was a total brush off… including alternately speaking to the other customer in Spanish –in my presence– which is just rude… basically I was shown the door…
A better reception was given at PC Richards which even praised a model by Haier 1.8 cu ft front loader — which gets good reviews and is very compact! PC’s didn’t have the Haier but still recommended it… The good news… I got it at this site: COMPACT APPLIANCES…
for $ 800 w/​free shipping — far less than the «roughly $ 1400» I was hastily quoted at Drimmer’s for the not so compact LG all in one… — and it is closer to the discontinued Malber model I was looking for…
A word of advice to Drimmer’s… DON’T BLOW OFF A READY TO BUY CUSTOMER!

Drimmers has a great selection of appliances and the prices are good. Although delivery is free, they charge $ 20/​appliance to take the old ones away.
My complaint has to do with the delivery as you basically have to wait around all day. Although they did give me a delivery time when I called in the am, the delivery guy did not stick to it and was quite late requiring repeated calls and then the delivery driver blamed it on traffic… Is that my problem? this is NYC and traffic should be expected in scheduling.

They do not stand behind there products. Bought a few air condition units. One of them was defective out of the box. I called them the day after I bougt it, and they said they could not help me … Have Been trying for months to get the manufacturer to help with warranty, but they came already 4 times … That means I had to stay home four times from work for a three hundred dollar item. I could have already bought a brand new unit

Brenda at Drimmer’s has sold me every appliance I’ve purchased. She anticipates questions I’d never think to ask. She is mindful of my budget which I deeply appreciate.

I needed to buy a refrigerator and range, and decided to go through Drimmers because the service seemed much better than the other local showroom I contacted, and the pricing was better as well. Isaac was indeed very helpful– when I called him days later to check on my order, he knew my order instantly before I even Identified myself by name or told him the items I purchased, I literally said ‘hello’ and he said, ‘I know what you’re checking on!’ and he did! I was quite impressed by that level of service. He even went above and beyond to help me organize a delivery within a specific timeframe, which I had to pay additional for, but did not mind doing so bc timing was imperative. I would go through Drimmers again for the service alone.

Drimmers has good prices and customer service. I prefer them to some of the larger places or buying sight-​unseen on the internet. In one instance, the unit we bought had a problem (not the fault of Drimmers, just a bad part in an expensive appliance) and they were very good about solving the problem quickly and helpfully. It’s nice because the same person who helps you on the floor is the person who helps you if you do have a problem. This is much different than dealing with a big, faceless corporation. Here, you feel you’re working with small-​business owners who care about their customers’ satisfaction. I feel they are honest and straightforward. I will be going back to them for some further purchases in the next year or so. We have worked with Shmuli, who is great.

We purchased a wine cooler that was advertised to cool the unit between 40 – 60 degrees. What it did was somehow cool each of the 5 shelves a different temp starting at the bottom at 35 to 55 at the top. Fran our sales person agreed to ask uline to replace the unit as a defective model. Uline contends it is supposed to operate that way. How and why someone has a use for that kind of refrigeration for wine I do not know. Once uline said it is supposed to work that way Drimmers and Fran from the Flatiron store disappeared altogether and will not even respond to our requests to return it and purchase one that is useful. It is clear they did not know what they were selling and are not willing to help us. I have never seen such horrible customer service in all my years.

I’ve been buying from Drimmers for years and never had a problem. I don’t know if it’s just because I’m in Brooklyn, but delivery is always free, which is a huge savings.

I bought four things here: a range, a hood, a hood blower, and a dishwasher. I appreciated many things:
I spent a long time looking, and had plenty of time to look on my own, and plenty of time working with Isaac, who answered my questions. I came back many times to shop and research various brands I’d researched on Consumer Reports and on various blogs.
I ultimately purchased the low end of the high end, but I appreciated that they had different price points and had some decent stuff in the low end, as well as some cool stuff in the high end it was fun to see.
I never felt pressured.
I bought floor models and saved big.
When I changed my mind about what dishwasher I wanted (and it had not yet been delivered) Isaac made the switch, no problem.
When the installation guys failed to install the dishwasher, claiming there was a problem with my cabinets, but actually they just didn’t take the time to figure out how to install this particular Swedish d/​w, Drimmer’s refunded the installation fee.
Overall, I had a very good experience. I also appreciated that because the location wasn’t so central or so posh, it was possible for the business to pass along some savings in the form of some rather nice apppliances available as floor models.

Gotta say, I’m shocked to see these negative reviews. I’ve bought a fridge, stove, dishwasher, washing machine, and washer/​dryer from Drimmers over the years and had great experiences with the staff each time. Some things I’ve bought by going to the showroom, sometimes I’ve just called in an order.
When you go to the showroom, they spend a good long time with you, showing you different models, talking about different features etc. The salesmen are knowledgeable. They’ll tell you «this model’s popular but we also get a lot of complaints.» They don’t rush you. I’ve stood there and cross referenced their quotes on my ipad.
AND. You can call back 2, 3 or 5 years alter and STILL GET THE SAME GUY. He’ll remember you, reprint your receipt, etc.
As with any business, their goal is to make money. So after a showroom visit, it took a couple of phone calls to get them to meet a cheaper price I saw online. But they did.
I’ve never had delivery problems or problems with the appliances. I know a lot of people who buy from Drimmers too.

Bad product recommendations and then they wouldn’t take the product back. Also, I paid for a discontinued product in advance that they were supposed to hold on to and they sold it. Wasn’t able to get it and it affected our entire project (already ordered custom cabinets, etc). Customer service was great at first but follow through was horrible. Felt like all they wanted was the sale. Bad business as I would not be a repeat customer and of course, now writing a bad review. Go online and use AJMadison. Fast, reliable, cheaper prices, no taxes and free shipping!

NEVER SHOP AT DRIMMERS! OR, BUYER BEWARE.
I insisted on using a locally-​owned business to replace my refrigerator, range and dishwasher. The biggest mistake in my life was going to Drimmers. Everything was delivered and hooked up without issue. In less than a month, the refrigerator started freezing EVERYTHING – it still is not working and DRIMMERS does not honor its products. I have taken two vacation days to meet the repairmen. Repairs have been unsuccessful. I have no more days and no refrigerator. Parts arrived since they say it needs, basically, a new motor! So WHEN they come to fix it, its like i have a USED refrigerator after a less than three months of ownership. Does Drimmers care? NOT at all. I asked twice to speak to Mr. Drimmer– no call back. I thought that was the worst of it … UNTIL TODAY. The oven stopped working. A Viking. A ‘new’ kitchen; money spent to prove it. No cooking, no refrigeration, no company standing by its product. NO DRIMMERS. (the sales person, Isaac, is a nice guy, if that is all you need).

I bought a washing machine from them and I found the service to be good and the machine has been good so far and it has been 2 years. the price was excellent and I didnt have to haggle

He worked with me on the prices too, and gave me a good deal. Even the movers they use were courteous and professional. I can say enough about Isaac and Drimmer’s. I highly recommend them.
