We offer different types of tours to accommodate all the beautiful attractions that can be seen from the water. The Islands Tour that takes you from Coney Island to the Breeze Point Beaches, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and more! The Statue of Liberty & Downtown NYC Tour shows the city’s best known attractions, including Ellis Island, Battery Park, and Governor’s Island. Want to see it all? The Ultimate Challenge Tour circles the entire island of Manhattan, taking you on an adventure you will never forget.

History

Established in 2014.

2014 marks the year Empire City Watersports set up shop on the shores of NYC. Our mission is to provide an adventure through NYC like no other! We’re thankful for the warm welcome and fun memories we’ve had so far, and we look forward to serving the Empire City scene for many years to come!

He grew up with a fondness and passion for the city, and at Empire City Watersports, his mission is to bring the best sights and sounds of NYC to visitors and locals alike! The tour guide showed up 30 minutes after our tour was scheduled to leave after telling me I should arrive 30 minutes early. He also showed up with take out food and no apology and proceeded to eat his lunch in front of the group while we were getting ready to leave, so unprofessional.
After finally leave 45 minutes after our departure time the guide continued to race far ahead of the rest of the group almost out of site. Not a good experience for the amount of money spent on the tour/​rental. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Can’t get any better than jet skiing in Brooklyn. Friendly tour guide, great ride, overall a very fun experience — until I came back and couldn’t find my wallet. Words of advice: come dressed prepared to be in the water, bring your own wet shoes unless you want to borrow the ones they loan you and everybody else, also there’s a place to keep your belongings but it’s very unsecured so do not bring anything beyond your photo ID.

Had a great time today! Definitely the place to go if you want to go Jet Skiing. I went with my friend and we had a blast! The staff there are awesome and very helpful especially to someone new like us. I did the 90 min tour around Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Governors Island, and around the bridges. It’s really worth your money compare to other Jet ski places that I’ve researched. Can’t wait to come back next summer. Be sure to wear sunglasses or any protective goggles so water won’t splash in your eyes it will burn because of salt water! Two thumbs up for the overall experience :)

Just finished the lower Manhattan tour with my boyfriend and had a fantastic time. Sal and Jason were fun guides and they were mindful of people’s different speed comforts. Definitely recommend taking this tour.

I loved this tour! This was my first time ever riding/​driving on a Jet-​Ski and I must say it was definitely an amazing experience! Everyone here are super friendly they teach you everything you need to know before you head out and they are patient with you. We were like right by the statue and the city view was just gorgeous! The water is really choppy out there so this is not for the weak and scary types lol Im just saying! I definitely slipped off going too fast but its all part of the adventure! I definitely want to go back and recommend this tour to everyone its great! Thanks again for being super friendly I appreciate that a lot of New Yorkers are just rude

Had a horrible experience with empire city water sports My niece bought her boyfriend the 90 minute tour. We drove to Brooklyn with them. Arrived 2 hours early to be there on time. A half hour before their scheduled time the owner called to cancel their appointment. They were extremely rude about the whole thing and. Could care less they were ruining their day.
Terrible customer service and no way to run a business.

So much fun… This place totally earned an A+ in all aspects! From the first phone call to the end of our tour this business and group of people were fantastic! Lots of fun, laughs, and great photos to remember this great trip by! Sal was cool and Nicole was a sweetheart! As we were on the water we saw packed water taxis and lines of people at the sights we stopped at… the difference was we zipped by, snapped our pics, and got to keep zooming through the water as Sal led us at a great pace… not so fast that a novice (like me) couldn’t keep up and not too slow that an experienced jetskier (like my husband) would get bored… although it doesn’t seem possible that a tour like this could be anything but amazing! Thanks Empire City Watersports for a trip that I’ll always remember! Now I want to buy a jetski too!

My husband and I did the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan your — it was amazing! The staff is super friendly and they take pictures of you at the sites (for a pic package). I strongly recommend going on a tour from a this place. You will see NYC from a completely different angle.

I had a few questions about the rentals and I called in and spoke to Nicole, she was such a sweetheart and answered all my questions and concerns. Sal was our instructor and he was great at it. Overall I had such an amazing experience it’s a must do for every New Yorker, definitely worth the money!!!

I had an AMAZING exprience doing a 90 Minute tour of NYC! Our guide Sal was very patient, friendly, and allowed us to ride our jet ski at a speed we were comfortable with. We arrived a few minutes late, and thanks to NIcole, she was able to accomodate us. I highly recommened this company!

This place was awesome! My boyfriend & I are from Atlanta and were looking for a fun way to see the city. The staff is great & the jet skis were very well maintained & easy to maneuver. Nicole was great in helping us plan our excursion & even offered to take photos for us! Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to see the city in just a short couple hours.

While the jet skiing was fun and included a great tour of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and a couple bridges, the tour guide (named Vinny) was quite unpleasant and unprofessional. First, he gave another couple a hard time about their Groupon even though they had a printout. Then, while we were on the water, he would get very annoyed if one jet ski was lagging behind, and shout at the rest of us to stay still while he went to go check. We were all polite customers and didn’t appreciate being shouted at, when we were perfectly happy to listen to him and wait for the lagging jet skis.
Finally, after returning to shore, he said very aggressively to another couple that they had damaged the jet ski, pointing out an invisible scratch. He demanded $ 425 to repair the machine.
While the tour is fun, be very careful about which tour guide you get and be prepared to fight against made-​up damages. It was really a shame because they could have a good business if all the staff members could be trained to be more polite and less obviously money grabbing.

A unique way to view some of NYC’s top sights. As a lifelong, jaded New Yorker I thought I saw it all. Then I Jet Skied under three bridges, right up to the Statute of Libery, and had many views of New York City better than I ever have in my life.
