Enterprise Rent-A-Car

This location is awesome. They always have the car I requested ready and their attention to detail is exactly what it should be. They clearly go the extra mile to make renting from them smooth and easy. Each associate I’ve dealt with, and I use them often, has been knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Bad management — the manager said that I cannot add a driver from this location and had to go to the same location from where I picked up the car. He doesn’t even know the terms of his own company

these people are the best! fast in-​and-​out, accommodating, professional, good fair price… even when it’s busy, they always greet you immediately and let you know they are heading your way very soon… sometimes we rent from a bargain place farther south in Brooklyn and it’s a completely different experience, and we hardly save anyway — while driving clunkers and having to practically beg to get a car from the lot down the street…

We’ve always had good experiences with these guys. Everyone is nice, Bill (mgr) has always been a pleasure to work with. Cars are clean, good prices (for NYC), and they put you in the best cars possible.

After an afternoon of pie at Four and Blackbirds, we walked a block over and noticed that Enterprise was open (on a Sunday! at 6pm no less!). There were lots of cars on the lot and even as we were going in, people returning cars were pulling in and parking on the driveways. As we went inside, we noticed that there were around 5 people on line. There were 2 people currently working indoors with customers on reservations or returns (Jimmy, and another caucasian male, mid 20s with brown hair). I noticed that Jimmy was going in and out, trying to help as many people as possible while the other worker was taking almost 15 minutes with a customer. He didn’t even try to make an effort to tell the other people on line «I’m sorry, just give me a few minutes with this customer and I will be right with you» (Jimmy did)
When it was finally our turn (the 4 people ahead of us were returning cars, 1 was renting — this is important for the rest of the review), the other worker (not Jimmy) took us and asked, in the worst way, how he could help us. We said we dropped by and wanted to rent a car, and he immediately replied that it will not be possible. Now, since the 4 people ahead of us were returning cars and only 1 was renting, there HAD to be at least 3 other cars available. There were around 20 cars on the lot, there were 4 people in front of me who just returned one, and it was 6pm on a Sunday — all these cars were rented?!
We asked if there was something he could do and all he said was that you can return around 8pm. He literally stood there and stared at us for a few seconds before asking for the next customer online. I got really disappointed because I knew that we could’ve rented a car, but the gentlemen was too lazy to go through the rental process. Just because it’s 6pm on a Sunday doesn’t mean you should be lazy and stop doing your job…
The person I was with and I looked at each other in disappointment and left. As we were leaving, Jimmy Lau stopped us with a smile and told us if we could wait for a few minutes, he could help us. Jimmy was extremely nice and inviting, he was extremely professional and I’m glad that customer service meant something to him. We were able to rent a new Corolla, he was extremely receptive to any questions we had and we were out within 15 minutes.
By the way, when we returned the car, the girl helping us (a mid 20s, brunette — sorry for the descriptions, I never got any names) was really helpful and sweet. I’m not sure if it’s just that 1 guy in this Enterprise location, but he has made it an unpleasant enough experience that I’m not sure if I want to come back to this location. We usually go to the Sheepshead Bay Enterprise, since we have a great relationship with the manager there. If we were to come back here, I’ll definitely make sure it’s Jimmy Lau I’m talking to.

Vasilios Manetas (Bill) was extremely helpful and had a great attitude when assisting me. I had a long day of other car companies cancelling my reservations or changing times, but Bill really took care of me. It took 3 minutes to get my reservation and he did it all with a sense of humor. Thank you Bill! I’ll see you soon, I know where I’ll be renting my vehicles from now on.

Amazing how quickly things change. Enterprise has a quick turn around of employees as they get promoted and move on to other locations. I’ve been renting from this location for over nine years and the service has always been extremely professional and courteous; however the current manager Mr. Vasillos Manetas is a far departure from that. He’s by far the rudest, most confrontational and unprofessional Enterprise employee I have the displeasure of meeting. There has been a recent change of policy regardingdropp off at this location that I had not been made aware of. Today when I was trying to tell him that I had been renting from this location for over nine years and had never heard of this policy change he literally yelled at me: «I dont care if you’ve been renting here for nine years or 25 years!» REALLY? How somebody that doesnt care about his client base becomes a manager is beyond me. Mr. Vasillos, you are a disgrace to all those managers that came before you.
Another employee, Jessica Fordham, was kind enough to take the time and further explain to me the details of the new policy, and even though I was still not happy with this new policy, she’s exactly what I’ve come to expect from Enterprise’s employees.

Great experience all round, from first phone call, to pick up, to drop off the team there is friendly, thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. Don’t expect some luxury digs are tons of cars, it’s on 3^rd ave Brooklyn and it is what it is. But the service and friendliness makes it an exceptional car rental experience. Sam, Jessica and Bill did a great job.

Great service. Had bill and sal and both nice. I was a walk in and got a good deal and everything was efficient. The car was a bit dirty but since I needed it right away thought was ok.
Rented the car at 2 pm. Drove for 20 min to home. Car vent was stinking but thought after some perfume on it would be ok. Loaded up for a road trip and the smell got worse and worse.
Returned it to enterprise and they quickly swapped me out.
So all good.
So why the 3 stars? I swapped the cAr at 4 pm and wrongly assumed that the new time will be clocked. It seemed it’s enterprise policy that if a car is faulty and I waste two hours returning it then the start time is not extended. Thus I was charged for 2 days.
I called and sal was great and have a little relief but still as a company I don’t think this is good policy.
I alwYs take enterprise as they have good customer service but corporate needs to look at this

These guys are always spot on with their product and their professionalism. I rent from them often and they are always helpful, friendly and extremely together. A great alternative to owning a car in NYC.

Easy location off the F/​G, great customer service. I used my American Express membership reward points to purchase a $ 200 gift certificate. There was a small glitch with the reservation online, but the customer service representatives were extremely attentive, pleasant and accommodating. I will definitely be renting with Enterprise again!

I used to rent my cars @ Hertz on Union in Park Slope. No more, I will do all my car rental’s here. These guys are professional and extremley quick. Cars are very clean. not that way at Hertz. Sal is very accomadating and extremley professional. I rented a car on for Thanksgiving and was in and out on Wed. even during that minor storm we had that day.

I m very happy with this company. I rented a minivan to drive from Brooklyn to South Florida. The staff was friendly, helpful and put all the seats flat so I could put in my stuff.
The only problem was the 1 – 800 # they want you to use for 1 way rental. Seems to be an outside callcenter who were not trained. So I went in in person and I made a reservation there. And I like the location.

I’ve always had great service here: very friendly and as efficient as possible, given how busy they are. The limited hours can be tough: just be aware when you’re renting that the window for returns is tighter than at many other places.

Good location near the F, G, R train station a block away. Friendly, courteous staff. Check-​out usually takes longer compared to the Hertz by Grand Army Plaza, as they make you go through the physical inspection of the car, initials on the form, etc. so not great if you’re a frequent business renter who needs to get in and out quickly.
I personally wish they would open a bit earlier and close a bit later, or at least allow for overnight dropoff so you don’t have to pay for an extra day if you’re returning after 6pm.

We got a GREAT car for a week at a great price. A new 2014 Ford Edge that ran like a dream. It was ready on time, the staff was very helpful (especially Kamau who helped me) and they were flexible about letting me return the car 30 min late. Thanks so much!

This was the easiest car rental experience I’ve ever had. I received excellent customer service from the sales reps. Even the reps that weren’t directly helping me, made eye contact and said hello. Thank you for being professionals!

Ok first of all I was unaware of rental car locations closing on sunday… secondly if that is the case then why was I able to reserve a vehicle and get a confirmation email???

Of course after receiving my confirmation I just assumed the place was open for business… well to my total shock and surprise the place was closed!!!
Needless to say I was not a Happy Camper and still confused on why I was able to make a reservation at a closed location!!!
Just a horrible experience not even sure I would use this place if it was open… smh…fix your web information!!!
And if someone from corp is reading this please contact me about this issuse thanks!!! Because your operators are clueless as well.

Let me just point out that I’m taking the time to write this brief review under difficult circumstances. Rented a car yesterday and a family emergency forced returning it that same afternoon.
When dealing with unforeseen difficulties something like superior customer service and attitude can make a huge difference. Both young guys who greeted me coming in the place had fantastic attitudes and demeanors. When I unexpectedly returned the car a few hours later they were helpful and understanding and charged me the lowest minimum rate for ½ a day without my having to ask.
I have no affiliation with Enterprise and picked them randomly as a rental agency. I can say without question that I will use them again if I need a car rental in the area and for no other reason than the courteous and friendly customer service from the guys who were working that day. Writing a Unilocal review for a car rental agency isn’t something that would typically occur to me to do. Good job guys. the little stuff really does make a difference sometimes.

This was my first time renting a car on my own and I was embarrassingly clueless. I went with Enterprise on 3^rd Ave because they are open on Sunday nights and had some good reviews on Unilocal for their customer service.
There was an extremely rude customer ahead of me who barked at everyone in the room for no reason. The agent helping him kept it very professional, and handled his return as quickly as possible, much to all of our reliefs. It was an impressive show of self restraint, because that customer was really obnoxious.
When it was my turn, I decided to suck it up and just admit that I kind of didn’t know what I was doing. I got a friendly smile and honest answers to my many questions. The agent helped me pick out a car that was easy for me to manage and didn’t rush me through the contract (which I messed up and had to have reprinted… oops, sorry!) or the car inspection.
The return process was really quick too and there weren’t any surprise fees. Overall, it was a perfect rental experience and I will definitely make this my go to rental place. I highly recommend these guys!
