Overpriced, small portions, mediocre taste, and forgot about half of one of our dishes. We swore off of this place 2 years ago for similar reasons and decided to give them another try. Don’t bother. Try Alchemy or Miriam nearby.

I really like this place. Walked in on a Saturday around 9ish with 2 friends and we were seated right away. I love the décor and the patio in the back. The place has high ceilings and dim lighting. We opted to sit outside. I had the market fish, which was bass. It was delicious. The other people I went with had the burger and the duck, they both liked their food too. The service was attentive and friendly. Really no complaints. I will definitely be back.

Food is good when they get it right!!! Seems quite often times I come here for dinner, with or without a reservation, I end up waiting a long time for a table and the meal I order comes out wrong.(Wrong dish comes to me). But the food is good when they finally get it right. I’m saddened that this has happened to me more than once and what saddens me even more is that my corrected dish doesn’t come to me till everyone else is pretty much done with their dinners, which ruins the evening.

How much I wish I loved this place … The food is good, the place is big, but the service is bad bad bad. We already had a bad experience with the service 3 years ago. We decided to give another try on a Saturday(during the Japanese Cheery Blossom festival). 6 adults and 3 kids. I called to make a reservation, I am proposed to sit outside. Yes ! the weather is beautiful. When we arrived, they had us wait to settle our table … inside. When I asked, surprised, to be seated outside, our hostess tells us no … there is no available table outside. BS … the yard is huge, plenty of tables for big parties. She just didn’t want to settle another table for us. It took at least 45 minutes to be served. Our waiter sighed when we asked to warm our baby’s food. At the end he almost threw the check to our face(the tall lean dude). We had decided to leave only 15% in tip but hey, they had already included 20% on the check. I guess that is why they didn’t make any effort. So maybe we will give them another try in 3 years, hoping the staff will turnover, maybe. But for now we are too angry to even consider it.

We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday night and the place was pretty quiet. The waitress was friendly and took our drink orders right away. The menu is small, but everything sounded pretty good. After some debate I decided on the chicken breast. The food came out in reasonable amount of time and it looked delicious. The chicken came with grits, wild mushroom and Swiss chard. It was cooked just right and had nice and juicy. The Swiss chard was also really tasty. As I finished up my meal I realized that I was still hungry and not just a little bit. I hoped that it was just that delay between my stomach and brain, but as time passed I realized that was not the case. This was disappointing. Then the check came and I realized I had spent $ 90 on two meals and two draft beers and I was going to leave hungry. I realize farm to table meals are going to be a bit more expensive, but after spending that much and leaving hungry hurts a bit.

I enjoyed my dinner here — I like the farm-to-table /fresh ingredients movement they are doing, but it comes at a price. A very high price. Dinner for two entrees and two beers came to $ 90 and we didn’t leave satisfied. The menu is limited(one chicken entrée, one beef entrée, one fish etc) but creative. I had the trout with sauteed greens and some kind of long onion and while it tasted good and cooked well — it wasn’t amazing. I wish it came with a side of cous cous or quinoa or something else to complete the dish — or a bigger piece of fish. The space is lovely — clean, warm and inviting with a lovely back area. The servers were pleasant and while it was a perfectly fine experience, it didn’t wow me to come back and pay that much to still be left hungry.

This place used to be so awesome and it’s a real shame how bad it’s gotten. The two stars are for the food which can be good. The lack of stars is for service, pricing and execution. The service is atrocious. Not a one staff member in my last three visits has seemingly given two hoots about me or any of the tables around me. No water offered, no menus, absolutely NO accommodating guest requests. How come the top chefs in the city will bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your meal, but my local neighborhood spot won’t give me a side of something without charging me TENDOLLARSFORIT!!! That’s egregious! Pricing. Ten dollar side aside(heh) FF seems reasonably priced till you get your meal and realize that the entire dish is two bites. The portions got noticeably smaller while the prices went up. Execution. My eggs were cold. The potato pancakes were burned and too tough. The veggie burger was so SO bland. Sadly, after 5 years of frequenting this restaurant, I think I’m done. Not that they’ll care when I don’t come in cause they never seemed to notice when I did.

Came here with a friend on Saturday night. The food is very fresh, everything is locally made. We had oysters, the crab cake, and we shared the roasted duck breast entrée. The oysters were out of this world and the duck was so tender and moist. They also served bread with the appetizer so we were pretty full. The server was very attentive and knew the menu really well. Try the ice cream for dessert! You can tell they use real flavors and milk. Overall, it’s great place with a very nice ambience.

Good ideas for the menu, although on a Saturday brunch, it wasn’t executed very well. Cold waffle duck confit, and we had to wait around for another round of drink for awhile. Had some friends from Jersey and Manhattan come over to chill, not overly impressed. OK overall, but most likely won’t be back.

Stopped in for dinner and drinks and the place was empty, aside from a couple drinking at the bar. The couple at the bar interacted a lot with the staff, sometimes getting a little noisy in an otherwise quiet room, sometimes rising to greet and seat people when the FOH was absent. Were they also FOH? I don’t know. They were bundled up in outerwear the whole time. I’m not sure what they were doing and it was somewhat distracting in an otherwise quiet room. I only ordered one drink because it was just okay and also because no one asked if I wanted another. The servers — the official ones — were friendly, attentive and timely, for the most part, though. We had the soup, which looked and smelled fantastic, and the toast for starters; cinghaile and the market fish, which was moist, tender, and unfortunately full of bones towards the end; and apple tarts for dessert. The bread was super chewy. Even given the local and organic focus, the dishes seemed a little pricey for the quality and quantity. I’m not sure I’d make a special trip to come back, but I’d give it another try if we were already nearby.

The bloody mary was good– spicy but in a balanced way. My brunch entrée was good as well– I got the eggs benedict on a potato pancake with mixed greens. The portion was VERY small. I figured it would be the standard two eggs benedict, and a salad since it says«mixed seasonal greens»(which they also charge $ 3 for). The mixed greens were part of the eggs benedict dish– like spinach under the poached egg. They brought out my plate and it was comical how small the portion was compared to the size of the plate. One of the people in our party ordered the dish as well, and wanted to order a side of toast since our entrees were minuscule. It took the waitress ten minutes to bring two pieces of toast… She didn’t charge for the toast which was nice, but was still weird. The prices were a bit high, but I guess that’s because everything is local, organic, etc. Brunch here was OK, but I’ve had much better brunches for less money. Stone Park Café is just a few blocks down Fifth Ave and is a better brunch option in Park Slope.

Randomly stumbled in for brunch after remembering a post on Very cool concept of farm to table and great location for it. I came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. I ordered the scrambled eggs with mushroom confit and the pancakes. Sooooo yummy!!! The fresh jam that was served with the pancakes was great, the confit was perfectly seasoned and I loved the texture of the mushrooms. My only disappointment was that service was lacking a bit. The hostess was MIA for a little bit when I first arrived and there was just s crowd of ppl near the door. Although I sat at the bar, I felt ignored for the majority of my experience. No one checked on me during my meal. I am open to trying them again and hoping it was just an off day. The dinner menu looks interesting.

This place is a neighborhood favorite. When we visit Brooklyn our friends always take us here. We’ve been for breakfast and dinner. This is a foodie place, not many normal dishes for my husband to choose from. That being said, the burger is delicious!

This place is really cute with a really big and awesome backyard that can accommodate a large group. The food was great. The portions small for the price. The drinks were VERY strong. Like, almost undrinkable and I love a great cocktail. My sister, dad and I each got a different drink and all were strong.

I have been going to Flatbush farm for years. I live not to far away and I hate going into the city on the weekends to dine. After bypassing it so many times I decided to finally try it out. I love the rustic décor… reminds me of those restaurants in Paris. There is indoor and outdoor dinning, but being in Nyc outdoor is for specific times of the year. The back yard is so beautiful with the big trees and the picnic style tables and benches. My favorite time going there is the weekend for brunch or dinner… I love the wheat germ pancakes with sliced banana syrup… it was perfection. I always get the quiche… burger and fries and most definitely the duck. The staff has been super friendly the times I have been there… one young man in particular his name is Jordan… I love the way he interacts with the customers. This will always be one of my favorite brunch spots.

Sometimes walking 20 feet can make all the difference in your evening… after having a terrible experience at the bar next door, I was somehow convinced that I was going to eat at the Farm, damnit. I was convinced I would be shunned, spit upon and laughed at, but everyone at Farm was exceedingly nice, attentive and pleasant. So nice, in fact, that we ordered a bottle of wine and dinner. When we had finished the bottle of wine before we were done eating(it took forever to get our meals, but it was late), the Farm bartender graciously comped us one last glass of wine. Which is a real shame, since if you are to believe the bartender next door, that glass of wine came directly out of the Farm bartender’s paycheck. So we tipped him quite well to make up for that loss. Unfortunately, my cauliflower steak was bland as hell and not very filling. I ate half of my friend’s chicken entrée, and when I got home, I ate 2 more cupcakes. I’m going to be a frequenter of the Barclay’s area scene, and not really sure this one is going to stay on list.

I’ve been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The first time was for dinner & I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was so delicious I still think about it(it’s on the bar menu rather than the regular dinner menu if you’re looking for it – so good!). The second visit was for a brunch and I had the quiche(without bacon) & salad, which was also delicious. Bottom line: good food, nice décor, friendly service – will be back.

Mood lighting, two tops, budino, and woodsy farm décor make up this surprisingly bougey restaurant tucked away in a not-so-bougey part of town. I came on a Friday night with my SO and almost every other two top was taken up by another couple or first date. Their full bar is decorated with wooden sticks and vases full of corks. On the front end of the bar they have a humongous bouquet full of even thicker wooden sticks. It’s weird, but I dug it. Our meal in order of appearance: glass of Laffourcade wine poured in a small tumbler, bottle of Wolaver’s IPA poured in a tall tumbler, basket of bread with homemade herb butter, starter of brussel sprouts with pancetta, market fish of baked cod with charred baby leeks, beurre rouge, and puffed wild rice, butchers cut grass-fed beef with bourdelaise, and a chocolate budino. The food was delicious. We cleaned our plates. The budino was surprisingly satisfying. I’d never heard of such a thing, but it was basically a rich chocolate pudding atop a salty chocolate crust. Totally hit the spot. Our server was great. Perfectly attentive and pleasant. Wished they accepted AMEX. I’d still go back. Solid A-.

Bloody mary, nice and spicy(check). Food — tasty and delicious(check) I had the tofu scramble which was very good. The kale was decent, but I really enjoyed the tofu. I also had some of the french toast which was perfection! Service was friendly and ambiance cozy. I will be back for more!

My boyfriend and I were on our ways to Prospect Park on late Sunday morning, and decided to stop by Flatbush Farm for brunch. Despite getting there relatively early for brunch(11:40am), the place was already packed! Luckily it was just the two of us, so we got seated right away at a table next to the window. The service was really slow. Our glass wasn’t filled until we had to chase down the waitress to ask for water. I ordered the Tofu Scramble($ 10), while my boyfriend got the Poppy Seed Pancakes($ 9) after dabbling between Reuben Sandwich and Bar(n) Burger. The food came out really fast, which we were happy about since we were pretty hangry!(feeling angry as a result of hunger!) The Tofu Scramble had pretty strong curry flavors, which was a definite surprise. I didn’t mind since I like curry, but for people who doesn’t like the flavor, then they would be immediately turned off. They should really indicate that on the menu! The tofu scramble had small pieces of red bell pepper. It could have had more vegetables mixed in to it. The braised kale on the side was quite salty, but I guess the whole grain farm toast was plain enough to balance the flavors. My boyfriend’s two stacks of Poppy Seed Pancakes looked pretty good. It was more on the thinner, wetter side(just the way he likes it), but the portion was quite small… they should have a three-stacks option. He got bottomless coffee, and said it was good.
