This is my neighborhood GameStop. The gentleman with the dreadlocks provides excellent customer service and I wish he was there the night I walked in because I know I would’ve received great service. Sadly this will be my last visit to this GameStop. I walked in at 7:35pm(store closes at 8:00pm) Now I understand you’ve been at work all day and you want to go home(I work retail as well) but seeing as how this was he only time I had I had to take advantage. I walked in to trade in my Xbox one to purchase a PlayStation. The rep behind the register took a GLANCE at the Xbox and said I wouldn’t get any trade in value for the Xbox because it was«physically damaged». He told me the entire front of my Xbox would have to be repaired. Rep didn’t even plug in the system to check if it worked. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my system. I went to another GameStop(12:15pm so I guess it’s a good time to come in) and the rep at the other location(86th street Brooklyn ny 11214) was freaking awesome. Told me there was nothing wrong with system and gave me full trade in value for all my items. I get you wanting to go home. I understand the trade in process takes a while but at least tell me that you wouldn’t be able to do it today if I can come back tomorrow or at a later time.

I like this Game Stop location! I had a set game in mind and the staff member was very respectful and displayed the true meaning of great customer service! She picked out my game, rung it up, did a little promo, and I was out of there in under 10 mins. Just how I like it!

Is it convenient: Yes Is it organized: No Can you get games at a discounted price: Yes Are the employees helpful: Yes(if you’re lucky) I’m thinking three out of four isn’t bad. I really don’t have the time to run up and down to get a game for my son, so since GameStop is located close to my house I frequently shop there. Like any other place where you might go, there is a chance you might get lucky to deal with an employee who knows what they are talking about. Since puss and dog doesn’t have the same luck, I make sure I do my research and know what I’m getting before I get there. I try to get what I need and be out of there under 20 minutes because the thought if being aggravated is annoying. I have watched customers leaving there mad, frustrated, and yelling about a cashier’s mother to many times to be one if those customers. So do yourself a favor and be decisive and quick.

The place is very effective and very nice! Let me add, great and pleasant attitudes. I always see myself going here and getting the service I want. Recommendation: Ask them if something is worth buying; they will be honest and give you their honest opinion.

Another ghetto GameStop. This review is almost the same as the one I wrote for the GameStop over on Flatbush Ave at the Junction. The staff are rude, the used game selection is anorexic and finding original cases for the game you want is like finding a unicorn with a gold horn. Yeah, that rare. The discs are badly scratched and even the fake cases are terribly damaged and broken. They never have what I am looking for and like every other GameStop, finding a new copy of something that has NOT been gutted is nearly impossible. The Powerup Rewards program is actually worth doing only if you buy and trade in games often otherwise you won’t miss out on anything if you skip it. Sadly the condition of this store resembles the people who frequent here. I wish it was different.

My only reason to shop at this Gamestop over the others is the free and easy parking in the Waldbaums lot. This location tends to be busy and there’s usually a moderate to long wait at the registers depending on the time of day. And because there are no sales personnel available to answer any questions except at the registers, there may be significant wait time even before you make a purchase. But the staff is pleasant and helpful when you can speak to them. And the whole time you’re there you’re subject to hearing the blaring videomarketing loop that constantly plays from many speakers, not just from TVs, much louder than at other Gamestops. I find that very grating while I’m browsing for game titles. When I’m finally done in there I’m thrilled to be out in the street again.
