The new owner is a total sweetheart and he has been very helpful and accommodating. HOWEVER, I recommend you don’t go in unless he is there on the premises.
Last night my boyfriend went in to get salmon for dinner. He asked the lady behind the counter to cut enough for two people off of a piece — she REFUSED, saying that the remaining piece would be too small. He then asked if she was seriously refusing to cut the fish to the size he wanted. Her response was, «ARE YOU F**KING DEAF?» Then, after she grudgingly cut the fish, she then gave him the «too-​small» end instead of the two filets of the same size.

Ordered a few combos of fried fish. Fish was fresh. I thought the fried whole red snapper and fries for $ 10.50 was a great deal. You can’t get that deal at another restaurant. It’s an extra $ 1 if you prefer it steamed. Pick your own condiments: tartar, cocktail, lemon juice, fresh lemons, paprika, etc. Love that they cook it for you to order so it’s not rubbery. Also because I don’t have to cook the fish at home, it won’t stink up the house.

Good presentation… a bit too fru-​fru, but given that it’s in a very trendy part of town, it fits in well. Food is good for seafood, but not spectacular. Definitely paying$$$ for location, ambiance and reputation… not for the food,

I’ve been coming here for years now they have new owners I’m not supporting anymore they lost the neighborhood feeling prices r unreal I miss the Chinese couple that use to run it. $ 5.00 for scampi sauce smh.

Perfect fresh fish! Never smells or taste fishy… I always add butter to my steamed fish… and corn YUMMMMM

Good fish market. Wouldn’t recommend the fried food. But you can pick what you want from fish market and they will steam it for only 1 $

#The new renovated place is cleaner. But seems a little bit more more expensive than I remembered. I’m not sure what to think yet. #Fried Shrimp seems the same, but I guess you can’t just order a small order anymore. I feel like 3 – 4 shrimps is my max. But yes, looks #cleaner!

Some of you may already know this location from the previous owners. Now that the business has been taken over by new owners, you will find some nice new changes.
The store has been renovated. New single stool window seats to eat in have been installed. There is fresh paint inside and outside. There are some new menu items, improved menu items and better dipping sauces.
I tried to find out about he new menu. The head chef admitted that they still have not worked out the new menu yet. Some items on the menu are actually no longer available. There are 2 flat panel TV’s with the Hot Food menu displayed. But the information isn’t accurate.
I ordered the Flounder sandwich ($ 5.75), and a Crab Cake ($ 2.50). See my attached pics.
The flounder is pretty much the same as before. Huge but no seasoning. I add tartar sauce, and hot sauce to add flavor. This is the best fish you can go for if you want a filet that is boneless.
They have a new spicy looking pink sauce. It’s good.
The crab cake was hand made with real crab! For the price and location, this is a great snack. I also noticed that they now make REAL fresh fried scallops.
Some pricing has changed, some meals are no longer available, but apparently now the quality is much improved.
I ordered 1 lb of fresh raw whiting. The guy gave me 1 & ¼ lb. I had to tell him to remove 2 pieces because he tried to stuff my order costing me an additional $ 1.30 without asking for approval first. So be specific if you don’t want them going over the amount you ask for and watch them weight it if you can.
Other than that minor annoyance, I highly recommend stopping by.
*Some prices have increased so just appreciate the fact this place has been improved and re-​opened under new management.

Awesome fish sandwiches. Super clean place I will definitely be coming back. Besides where can you get a fresh peice of fish tasty french fries and a drink for under ten bucks nowadays.
