Green Pavilion Restaurant

It’s an old fashioned diner in so many ways: the run-​down seats, the ratty ceiling, and the spectacular prices. Sausages are probably the best in the neighborhood.

Ordered from this place the other day on GrubHub and let me tell you, I don’t even think they stock salt in their kitchen.
Ordered a sandwiche, stuffed potato, pasta, and french onion soup. The sandwich was meant to come with coleslaw and a pickle which never even came, but I received a tomato soup I didn’t even ask for? Honestly, the tomato soup was the highlight of the meal. The pasta tasted like oil, potato was bland, sandwich and soup was really nothing special, and the fries that came with the sandwich was unsalted– just like the rest of the meal. 8^)

The place looks like it hasnt been renovated since the 70’s. It is really run down. We hardly got waited on at all! The chicken wings were the smallest ive seen in a while and it was all skin and no meat! Very depressing atmosphere! This place has potential, If the bar rescue guy shows up that is!

I most often get hamburgers deluxe from them, which come with a large FF portion and onion rings. I did get 1 time onion soup and salmon which I did not like. But, their shish and gyro and other stuff was good to average. Thus, it’s a solid 3 star place.

HORRIBLE! How did this place even get an A?! Let’s start off by the fact that this diner reeks of dogs. I looked past the smell because I was starving! I sat myself down and the only waitress there didn’t even acknowledge me. The other two tables that were there at the moment had to get up in order to get something from the waitress, I was thinking oh great! I went up to get a menu and then she finally approached me. I ordered a salmon burger and a side of sautéed spinach. I may not be a salmon burger expert but what I got didn’t seem like a salmon burger. It was literally a salmon fillet between a sesame seeded bun. I didn’t find the need to complain because I thought it may taste okay. The food was hospital bland and I never got my coleslaw that was suppose to come with my burger! The waitress never asked me if I was doing okay or anything. I was fed up with the combination of the horrible food, smell, and service hat I just got up and paid my bill. Never coming here again!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I ordered a well done burger and they delivered a COLD, RAW, BLOODY burger. When I called to request what I had originally ordered, a man with a middle eastern accent started screaming at me saying it was all my fault and that I SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT THEY DELIVER TO MY NEIGHBORHOOD. Unbelievable! No apology or anything. Extremely unprofessional place with rude, nasty employees.

I used to order here every morning, until they stopped giving a damn about their customers. My eggs were not cooked all the way the coffee tasted like dirty sugar water and the bacon was just terrible. I never had to return a B.L.T. the delivery guy is impatient, everything about this place has gone down the drain. I lost count of how many times I had to throw out my food. The cheese fries were cheap frozen store brand with a slice of cheap cheese… I think it was cheese… It’s safe to say, my family and myself will not be return, esp since we’ve been customers for over a decade.

My review is based on their food alone when received during delivery. I ordered a Veal Francese dish which came after 1 hour wait of delivery.
The Veal was so cold and so rubbery which forced me to throw out 80% of the dish that came with their yellow rice. My plate was suppose to come with salad but they never included it.
I will never order for delivery at Green Pavilion Restaurant.

I’ve recently discovered Green Pavilion through GrubHub and it is a great place to order from! An great diner menu, really fast delivery & yummy food. Excellent mozzarella sticks, too!

I had a buffalo burger today. It’s a lot better than the turkey burger. Contrary to other reviews, my experience with the staff here is very nice. I recommend the buffalo burger. I will come back and try more foods. Oh, it don’t smell like old people and saliva today.

An old-​school diner with dim lighting often populated by senior citizens who have been regulars here for decades, it seems.
Haven’t been to this place in YEARS, but I grew up around here and it was part of my childhood. One thing that stood out was finding a couple of egg shells in my cheese omelet. The tuna melt was usually soggy with oil, too. Can’t speak to their in-​house customer service. There are definitely better diners in Brooklyn, but the Green Pavilion is definitely a neighborhood staple despite its flaws.

Ventured here in search of a great diner near where I live in Midwood and ended up at GP. It’s your average low key dingy diner which was exciting for me because I usually enjoy cheap diners. The service was great by this sweet young girl that I think had just started working there, and my coffee was quite tasty. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup that was alright although the chicken was questionable and grey. I then ordered a Tuna Melt that was terrible and a side of fries that were nothing special. Maybe a bad order choice for the restaurant? I would like to give it another chance with some classic breakfast foods but I honestly was not terribly impressed or even happy with my food. The service by the new waitress was great, but the food is subpar, even for a cheap diner.

I have never been more dissatisfied with a delivery before until Green Pavilion. The restaurant is right up the street from my apartment, but they insisted on taking a little over an hour when their site specifies between 30 – 45 min. delivery time. The food was cold and the sauce from my chicken sorrentino and chicken cordon bleu were all over the tops of both containers. This experience has changed my perception of local deliveries in Brooklyn. Thank you Green Pavilion, you guys are the best {sarcastic voice}.

This place is okay. I order from here often enough. It’s standard diner food nothing really outstanding but okay if your hungry. There really isn’t a lot of other places in the immediate area so I see why they do well.

I dont care what people say. This place is great. Brings back the good olé time feeling. Amazing coffee.

Order through grubhub, got a buffalo burger and a cheese burger with fries &onion rings. When the food came, they just gave me a regular burger no buffalo sauce or anything. And they forgot about the onion rings.
When i call to ask about it, the waitress told me that i was wrong, thats how the buffalo burgers come in. So i said, all i got was buns and beef… and shes giving me attitude about how thats what it is…
So i asked to speak with a manager or boss. of course the manager isnt in… She told me wait till 6PM and call back.
Really really bad service. The food wasn’t too great either.

I gave one star because its the lowest you can go. We Oder delivery from here at least twice a month but its always a problem they either always out of something or the delivery takes over an hour an a half. Tonight though tops everything. We did not get most of our order and we called the restaurant and they called me a liar. Me the customer because I am going to lie about not receiving sides. Then would not send the order and refused to give a refund unless we returned everything. Ridiculous please stay far away from this place.

I’ve never actually been into the restaurant itself, but I order from this place semi-​regularly (even moreso now that they’re on Seamless, I bet), and have always found the food to be perfectly pleasant. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and cheese fries the other day and not only did my food arrive promptly, it was still warm and hadn’t gone soggy. I prefer my burgers cooked medium rare, and was pleased to see that the inside was still pink. My past experiences have all been similarly decent.
Mindblowing? Probably not, but still a decent neighborhood place for standard diner fare.

NEVER AGAIN! I have had the worst experience with this place… waited 2.5 hours for delivery (all I ordered was a sandwich & french fries!) and when it arrived the sandwich was incorrect and the fries were soggy. It has been 4 hours and I am STILL waiting for my correct order. The person who answers the phone between 12 & 3 is apathetic and doesn’t seem to think anything is her problem. Unwilling to apologize or offer anything for the annoyance & frustration of waiting an unjustifiable amount of time and receiving an incorrect order.
Maybe it’s different if you eat there, but when it comes to delivery, they get an F.

At $ 2.75 for breakfast, you would think this was the place to go and in fairness the breakfast special is not bad nor are the bison burgers but…
The bathroom downstairs was filthy
The waitresses were too busy chatting with some (I assume) regulars to ask what I wanted
The front window of the bar section has been broken for over 6 months
The place needs a thorough cleaning
UPDATE: I visited a few months after the first review was written…
The breakfast waitresses were friendly and efficient
The food was MUCH better (and still $ 2.75) and the dining area was cleaner though still run down looking.
I did not check out the bathroom (once was enough) and the window is still broken…
AND YET ANOTHER UPDATE: A month later and the breakfast special has gone up in price…$ 3.50 maybe… have to go check… also the window might finally be fixed but it was early and I was picking up a muffin and coffee to go.
LAST THURSDAY THERE WERE SIGNS ON THE DOORS THAT THEY HAD BEEN CLOSED BY THE BOARD OF HEALTH.
THIS MORNING, SATURDAY, I NOTICED THEY WERE OPEN AGAIN AND THE SIGNS WERE GONE.
12÷14÷13 — Place seems to have cleaned up their act a bit. Much friendlier and cleaner. Maybe because the BOH had been by?
