WORSE SERVICE EVER! They are criminals and thieves! They took advantage of my senior mother by pretending to do SERVICE on her and taking her insurance money. The service they did do had to be done over !

You can't contact them by phone and it is DISGUSTING how they are treating their patients.

I was a new patient and only came here because I switched insurance and my regular dentist no longer accepts the one that I currently have. I thought that I chipped a tooth, and I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly.
I arrived 5 minutes early for the appointment and filled out all the paperwork in the first 15 – 20 minutes of being in the waiting room. I was asked back to get a set of x-​rays after waiting a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes and then returned to the waiting room to be called by the doctor. The x-​ray man was really lovely and nice and I had no problems with him at all. The dentist called me back 20 minutes after that, and he was friendly. He couldn’t find any problems on the x-​ray and also looked carefully at the tooth with his mirror and still nothing. I was very happy because of that, but he kept trying to push invisalign on me. He mentioned it twice, and each time I told him I wasn’t interested (my teeth aren’t even that crooked and I’m fine with them) and then on the way out he said, «So, I’ll just have them come in and give you an invisalign consultation then?» And I also stated that I wasn’t interested in having a tooth cleaning that day and he kept trying to get me to stay there for one.
He seemed okay and seemed like he knew what he was doing, but I didn’t really like the way he kept trying to push services on me that I didn’t want or need. And then on the way out said, «have a nice life». I don’t think I’ll return there.

I wish Unilocal had a rating of no star because they don’t deserve one. I am writing to complaint about a scam at this place. On 12÷14÷15, I went for a non-​emergency check-​up and cleaning. After an examination without any cleaning, I was told by a person that overlook insurance coverage that I need a cap in the front tooth, which I asked if it was necessary or for cosmetic reason, she then ask and was told for cosmetic to which I replied no. Then she used the fear factor of gum disease like heart attack, etc. and that I need surgery. I told her that I didn’t want to pay any out of pocket money not cover by the insurance. This person told me that after looking at the computer that the insurance will cover everything. Today, I went for the second part of the surgery to be told by the same person that there is a co-​pay of $ 550 and the total will be $ 1,100. I feel that I had been deceived because if told the truth I would not have agree to this surgery. The scam is to use the insurance company to get you to do non– emergency and probably not necessary dental work… Dr G (really? afraid to use your real name?)you need to update your copy and paste comment and write that you had been ripping people for over 30 years.

I left Hanson Place Dental today for the last time. This was my second appointment in a week. At the first, I waited three hours past my appointment time to get my teeth cleaned, until I finally had to leave for work, without getting the cleaning. The entire time I was there, the waiting room was standing-​room only. Today, I came back for a second attempt at seeing a hygienist. Half an hour after my appointment time, I was told there were «three people ahead» of me. An hour later, I was also told that there were «three people ahead» of me. When I mentioned that I’d been told the exact same thing an hour earlier, the receptionist changed her mind and told me, without looking, that there was only one person ahead of me. Finally, two hours after my scheduled appointment, I left, still without my cleaning. I’ll be finding a new dentist, but since it’s the end of December, I probably won’t be able to squeeze in and use my dental insurance benefits before the end of the year.
The front desk also declined to give me my records, although they did give me 1×2″ printouts of my X-​rays, which I’m sure will be useless to my next dental care provider. As I left today at 2:30, a woman who had been waiting for her 10 a.m. appointment for 4 and a half hours was talking to the reception desk.
This office is a joke. Whether it’s been open «for 30 years,» as they’re fond of saying, or for 300 years, is not relevant. They either have far too many patients or an incompetent management, or possibly both. There is no excuse for making someone wait even one hour, let alone 3 – 5 hours, when they’ve made an appointment in advance.

TONIGHT WAS MY LAST!!! Left the job early, using MY TIME. I arrived at 3:00 for a 3:15 appointment. I was called at 5:50 & was the last to leave at 6:35. They called everyone in front of me, that «CAME HOURS AFTER ME». 2 weeks ago the same nonsense & a very crowded office no seats available, standing room only. My procedure was RE-​CAPING 2 Teeth with a stronger bonding filler, very fast & easy. Tonight only 1 tooth was done. Why, insurance has to renew for the New Year. All Crowns, bridges, fillings any tooth bond-​able never stays & keeps coming out at this office. The temporary drug store filler does not last either. Dr. G & Dr. J, & Dr. B, Your great and very nice men. Ms. Dr. E. B. Your a doll, & I really like you. All doctors really try to provide the best service, what ever hour you get in the chair. All the 1 STAR Reviews are on point. To me Medicare & Medicaid patients are treated better than the working with dental insurance. Why ?? Because Medicaid pays for ANYTHING & EVERYTHING. I was told your eligibility for a cleaning will be in 6 month that was October. I never received my cleaning. Today I was told different doctors do other procedures. They keep switching my doctors.
On my 1^st visit a consultation staff member gave me an estimated bill for over the top dental work worth 12,000. Never in my life has any dental office every said I need all this unnecessary work. I’m in my fifties I have no reason to lie. My teeth are in good condition with bone loss because of my age. I see a dentist 2 times a year since I was in my twenties. Most older people JUST LET THERE TEETH GO. The PROBLEM AREAS, the over crowded patient booking. I forgot after a 3 hr. wait for the hygienist to insert 10 gum treatment medication pods, that cost $ 1250, not covered by my insurance. They over booked, the worker was upset & thought I was late, I was on time & I’m last again. She hurried me out of the chair in 15 minutes while telling me her daughter had a play and she did not want to be late. I told the hygienist you should have called or rescheduled me since your had something important to do. I reported this treatment & all they could say was were sorry.
WHAT APPOINTMENTS, WHY! It’s the calling in all of your friends & associates ahead of others, Ignoring all the customers who have waited over 2, 3 & 4 hours for service. Its your staff complaining their tired and almost breaking my jaw by shoving the x-​ray slides in my mouth. Some techs are trained better than most to be gentle. I do better coming after work which is around 5PM. But the staff has the nerve to be upset. If I’m getting out 6 or 7pm at night «WHATS THE DIFFERENCE.» There’s A permanent male fixture sitting every time I
go all day in the waiting area, FINGER LICKING all the magazines & news papers.
I’m done & out. Too old for nonsense. STOP CALLING ME.
I will be Happy for «2016» SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I truly wish I would’ve read the reviews here before going to this place. Went one time and WILL NOT be going back. Sent a bill to my insurance asking for money for services they didn’t perform. Staff was incredibly rude with the exception of one female dentist who was pleasant and informative. Girl at front desk didn’t even look me, just said «you can sign in and have a seat. «They WILL try to sneak in services your insurance won’t cover and charge you extra money so be careful.

I went in with an emergency to get my tooth pulled. I’m not even assigned to the office but the whole staff went out of their way to get me seen and my needs taken care of. They’re awesome. Definitely switching to this office asap.

After my horrible experience last year, I’ve received 3 different phone calls and messages to schedule an appointment. I called back to see if I could have my contact info removed, and I was put on hold for over 10 minutes. This place is understaffed with rude employees who can behave that way because their client base does not have many options to go elsewhere (Medicare/​Medicaid). There are plenty of smaller practices that offer good service in the area… Hopefully they put this mill of a practice out of business

This place is AWFUL. Had an appointment for a root canal, scheduled for 1:30, I wasn’t even called into the office until 4pm. Every time I asked how much longer it was going to be I was told that I was next. Nobody even bothered to offer an apology. The dentist barely spoke ten words to me, other than «keep your mouth open» which he had to say that because they used no bracing equipment to keep my tongue back and keep my mouth open. There was no dental assistant, never even heard of a dentist performing a root canal without an assistant there. I kept spitting chunks of my teeth out because he did an awful job with the suction tube. Afterwards I was sent to get an xray and he didn’t have the decency to review my results wiht me. The Xray technician came back and just said the doctor said it looks good, you are good to go. I will NEVER come back to this place again and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

DONT GO TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE !!! I went in 7÷8÷15 because I was having severe tooth pain .I had a 9am appointment did’t see Dr until 11 am … When I finally get to see doctor he rushed me out his office and said to make appointments to come back tomorrow … Secretary staff is so rude she explained to me that the next available appointment was August 18 I told her I am in severe pain I cannot wait till August 18 she said that was all she can do … Mind you I was in severe pain I then asked to speak to a supervisor she says there’s no supervisors available at this time. No prescription was given to me for pain or anything I had to walk out of there and go to the nearest emergency room …

I knew it wasn’t going to be a good experience when I walked in for my 10:00 am appointment and saw 40 people in the waiting room. I wasn’t even called up to hand in my insurance card until 10:25. No X rays until 11. Two minutes with the dentist at 11:20. I walked out at noon without having any work done.
To top it all off, the dentist said I needed a filling and a root canal. My new dentist just told me I don’t need any work. So in addition to being woefully inconsiderate of your time, they’re fraudsters to boot.
Avoid at all costs

Please avoid this place, went in for an extraction in January and my nightmare haven’t end yet. 1^st the dentist was very rude, and her attitude was horrible towards me and towards the nurses. 2^nd the dentist kept harassing me about paying for some treatment I don’t need. 3^rd when she finish with the extraction she left the room with no word not even said she was done, she left me there with the suction tool in my mouth, 5 minutes layer the nurse came in and asked me if I was done, I was oblivious due to the dentist not saying a word. The nurse left n came back n said yes you are done. Couple of days went by n the pain still was unbearable. Went to the er n I had pieces of tooth coming out from my gum. It’s been a terrible experience she mutilated my gum, never again am I going there. And please do yourself or a love one a favor and tell them to stay far far away from it.

Please note I did not receive service from this place… but I feared greatly for my teeth if I did.
All I wanted was a cleaning:
This place is a zoo… the waiting room was filled with over 40 people, and there was not enough seats for everyone to sit. There were about a dozen kids running around reeking havoc, climbing on the walls, screaming and shouting. For some reason half the patients were all in wheel chairs, and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
The receptionists… plural with an S, because because behind the desk there are about 8 of them, were actually nice, and just trying to make the best of this unfortunate place they work in. Behind them were «dentists» running around back and fourth from room to room, with nurses chaotically gathering materials.
I said «ok» let me give this place a chance… about 30 mins after my appointment time, I began to get a bit fed up… then all of sudden the voice of some what sounded to be a bigger, angrier, Monique, began to curse and shout… apparently her dentist had operated on the wrong tooth.
That was my cue to leave.
The staff actually apologized, and said that they didn’t blame me for leaving.

Incompetent, rude, slow, stupid, disorganized, uncaring, uninformed, loud, and just plain bad. So bad it borders on fraud.
Do your own dental work with pliers and a drill — it’ll save you time, money and probably some pain.
Stay away from this office.

The experience as a patient here at this place of business is beyond sub par. The wait time, in and of itself is ridiculous! I work in downtown Brooklyn, so the location of the office (the old and new) was super convenient for me. But regardless if you have an appointment in the morning, midday, or evening, the wait time is no less than 1 hour. The staff here are unpleasant and not cordial. They barely speak and have attitudes as if they are the ones waiting for hours! To be fair, the dentist that I saw did help to coil the nonsense. He was knowledgeable and fast. But if you are one that enjoys your free out of the office, and do not want to find yourself stuck in a dental office for 2 hours on end, please stay far away from this office.

Ive been coming to Hanson place for a couple visits now and I love it. The girls in front are great and knowledgeable the young lady in front explained my insurance and explained the paperwork to me. The woman who took my xrays was the sweetest and was very careful with me which i loved i hate when offices are careless with you here everyone seemed so sweet. The doctor who did my exam was wonderful he explained what i should do more of and that i needed a root canal he explained the process which made me feel much better. After a very thorough cleaning better then any Ive recevied he was great. I met with an administrator whom i adore nicest woman ever and she explained my copayment and helped me decide on a date for it. My next visit went just as well i had a great doctor named Dr. G he was smart considerate and talked me through the process which helped my nerves and he wasn’t bad to look at. I have another appointment next week and while i normally dread the doctors this office has definately put me at ease I recommend it especially if you want quality care they do it all here and they excel at it.

Went in for a cleaning, saw Tiffany she took good care of me, had to go back for another cleaning do to my gums swelling. Both times was in and out.

I have been coming to hanson place for close to 10 years now. They always do consistently great work. They’re new office is awesome, all brand new stuff, very comfortable, modern look. It’s also super easy to get to. Definitely feeling the move. The staff really do their hardest to take care of everybody, so I appreciate that. I brought my neice with me to my appointment cuz her tooth was hurting and they took care of her no problem.
The office: modern, new equipment (not llike a lot of the offices I’ve seen in the area), clean
Staff: mostly female, friendly, very knowledgable (the girls in the front know EVERYTHING about insurance so makes it really easy, especially the manager)
Dentists: mostly older and you can tell thye’re experienced, get the work done really quickly everytime. Always satisfied with my work
Location: right by AC, F, 23, 45, NQR, G and prob a few more — its right next to Macy’s actually.
Cons: don’t do braces (but they do Invisalign)
Take it from me, I’ve done it all here (implants, root canals, bleaching), if you need a dentist this is by far the best in the area.
